Nathan Hare Has a Picture of a Flower Shop
Nathan Hare is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor based in Toronto. After starting out on Twitter and eventually finding his groove there, Nathan expanded to other social media apps like Instagram and TikTok, to name a few. His sarcastic humour and down-to-earth vibes quickly propelled him into the ever-growing ensemble of comedy content creators in Toronto’s bustling West End neighbourhood.
Nathan is also an accomplished copywriter. His work has been featured on CBC and BuzzFeed—and he has also done a bit of work with Toronto’s no-nonsense NDP party.
When he’s not creating viral media content, Nathan can be found hosting a weekly comedy show every Wednesday evening. Beyond that, he is often trekking across the city, heading to or from a hangout session with his crew of friends. These hangout sessions tend to vary in length, ranging from quick chats on the street to days-long affairs.
It's good to have real conversations with real people. Most of us spend eight hours a day doomscrolling on our iPhones or tablets, but the truth is—it's really, really messing with our Brain DNA. No one knows what the long-term implications of any of this could be, and to top it off, the government hasn't been collecting enough data on the subject. So, we're left in the dark over here, not knowing what to expect. Personally, I believe that in the next decade or so, with the help of new data collection methods along with advancements in AI technology, we'll likely have a much better idea of just how much all of this endless doomscrolling or doomsurfing (whatever you want to call it) is directly contributing to the likelihood of humans developing even more crazy mental disorders. Throughout history, we humans have proven to be very resilient, though, so there *are* reasons to remain optimistic about all of this, which is exactly what Nathan does when he's not creating video content or hanging out with his crew of friends.

April Clark Has a Picture of Lime Scooters
April Clark is a writer and comedian based out of Los Angeles. After dropping out of graduate school, April formed the trans comedy duo Girl God with Grace Freud.
The duo has since grown wildly in popularity, which has helped to justify April’s decision re: the grad school thing. That’s not to say the journey was easy, though. The duo had to jump through hoops just like any other comedy duo — and they successfully did jump through such hoops. You can catch their podcast any time you’re free, and if you’re in Los Angeles you can likely catch them live. If you’re not in Los Angeles, there’s a good chance they will be performing live comedy at a theatre in your hometown sometime in the near future.

Despite leaving their podcast behind, Josiah and his co-host continue to write their weekly companion newsletter, 155 newsletter. You can catch Josiah online during weekday work hours and if you want to catch him after 5 pm, you can find him in Montreal hanging at his favourite local haunts and DIY music venues. Renaldo is a beloved son, brother, and friend. He takes pride in being someone you can always count on to have your back when you're in trouble.

Kyle Hide Has a Promo Picture for The Drew Barrymore Show
Kyle Hide is a prolific meme page admin, gardener, and astrology columnist living in Brooklyn, NY. Kyle runs ineedgodineverymomentofmylife, an Instagram account and merch brand he and some friends started during a particularly unprecedented period of time in the world—I'm referring, of course, to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, the spiritual, semi-ironic, and downright silly content on the page resonated deeply with its bewildered audience, a group of people who, at the time, found themselves hopelessly locked down at home and in search of The Light—an abstract symbol of goodness referenced heavily in The Bible.
Full Disclosure: Kyle and I recently entered into a business relationship with one another. In exchange for faith-based tokens, I am now the official "Helper" for the I Need God Pod, a companion podcast for the meme page. As the new Helper for that show, I urge you all to listen and subscribe if you like what you hear.

Andrew Power Has a Picture of Delroy Edwards
Andrew Power is a DJ and producer from Toronto, ON. Under the alias Andrew Juke, one might describe his eclectic style as "hard style rave-core" meets "post-covid-footwork." When he's not behind his PC blasting out 303 melodies and boosting the low-end on his latest bootleg remix, he's hangin' online, walking the city, or keeping up with the latest trends in men's fashion. Earlier this summer, Andrew let me brush the back of my hand against his The Row hoodie. He also runs the IG page Collected Searching, where he unearths archived internet search phrases with dark and sometimes illegal undertones.

Josh McIntyre Has a Picture of Four Men and a Novelty-Sized Cheque
Josh McIntyre is a musician, DJ, and co-host of Cold Pod, a pop culture podcast at the heart of Toronto’s emerging underground podcasting community. After curb stomping onto the scene just over a year ago, Cold Pod wasted no time in its effortless delivery of hot takes on all things music, art, and pop culture—all while keeping true to and embracing its home (the six). 'The Cold Pod Formula', meticulously crafted by Josh and his co-host, Austin, was considerably influential in shaping Toronto’s extremely gritty and underground podcasting scene. To this day, the recipe to the formula remains shrouded in secrecy despite many would-be podcasters claiming to know what’s in it.
These days, you can catch Josh hanging out in Toronto’s infamous “West End" working on new music with his band, Thermal, recording Cold Pod episodes, and more…

Jordanne Brown Has a Selfie on the Tilt-A-Whirl
Jordanne Brown is a stand-up comedian, writer, and performer based in Toronto. I first encountered Jordanne a few months ago at one of Toronto's legendary community spaces, Bar Orwell, located on Dundas West. Jordanne essentially wrapped the audience around her little finger and rocked the room, firing off one joke after another as if they were bullets shooting out of a gun. Bar Orwell was absolutely buzzin'— "bzzzz."
After Jordanne's set, I buzzed up out of my seat and headed to the bar. It's time for a drink, I thought to myself, eagerly pushing my way through the one or two people in my way. As I scoped out the drink fridge, I remembered that I don't always need alcohol to have a good time, so I opted for a Coke. The bartender, who I can't remember anything about, nodded in approval, "Nice choice," he affirmed. The next thing I knew he was slamming the can down on the bar in front of me.
He grasped my Coke with his left hand and slipped his right index finger under the tab, pulling back at it teasingly, as if to imply, "You want me to open this can pretty bad, huh?" I did want that. He looked down at the can and then back up at me, our eyes locked, he paused. Something felt off. Why wasn't he opening my Coke? What the f*ck is going on here? Sensing my fear and confusion, the bartender began explaining, "So, before I open this, there's something you should know..." He was being super serious, like, in a way where it made me feel like he wasn't going to give me my Coke. He continued, "There is currently no ice because we don't have a sink behind the bar." I was shook. No ice? What the—? "Damn," I muttered. I then quickly got my shit together and decided I'll just get the Coke anyway—and did. He instantly cracked it open and handed it to me just as I gave him my 5 bucks or however much it was, but I was pissed. I don't even think I said thank you. I slowly made my way back to my seat, thinking to myself, "no ice equals no tip."
I sat down and sipped my warm Coke. The once buzzin' room was now filled with nothing but dread, for me at least. The legendary Bar Orwell suddenly didn't feel so legendary.

Erin Logan Has a Picture of a Woman's Breasts
Erin Logan is a film industry titan originally from Cobourg, Ontario. Having now lived in Toronto for 10 years, Erin shares bits and bobs from her plethora of knowledge related to The 6ix. During her recent bout of unemployment, she has had a chance to truly sink her teeth into the Discover Page, where she has since discovered thousands of photos of croissants and suicide girls. In this episode, Erin breaks down the difference between a laneway and an alley, what causes the blank stare on an employee's face, and how daylight savings time is changing the way we think about sunsets.

Cole Has a Picture of a Golden Dragon Fruit
In this episode, I sit down with Cole to discuss a photo he took of some fruit from the market. Despite the fact that years have passed since he took the photo, and the physical fruits have long since disappeared, they do continue to exist in one place—Cole's twisted mind.
In Cole's imagination, the fruits may have taken on new, surrealistic qualities, with exaggerated colours and distorted shapes. Perhaps they have even taken on a sinister quality, becoming symbols of decay and death.
Through the lens of Cole's camera and his creative vision, the fruits have been transformed into something more than mere objects—they have become part of Cole's personal mythology, infused with his utterly twisted perspective and worldview. While they may no longer exist in the physical world, they remain as a powerful symbol in Cole's psyche. In this way, the photo becomes a reflection not only of the transience of life, but also of the power of the human imagination to transform and transcend the limitations of reality.

Teen Daze Has a Picture of a Piece of Paper at Dairy Queen
Jamison Isaak aka Teen Daze is an electronic musician who I personally have been a fan of since 2010. He's more than a musician, though. Much more...He's also a husband and a father. He's a nature lover. Twitter user. A resident of British Columbia. Friend.
We got pretty deep into talking about DQ Blizzard's in this episode. I was craving one after our chat and then drove to Dairy Queen last Wednesday. So good. Something crazy happened, though—and feel free to sound off in the comments or on Twitter if you've ever had a similar experience—halfway through my blizzard, I noticed the cookie bits were dissipating, and then, they disappeared altogether. The entire bottom half of the Blizzard was just plain vanilla ice cream. I messaged Jamison about it and he knew what I was talking about. He said the same thing had happened to him. I checked out Reddit and someone on there said it was most likely "laziness on the part of the employees."
