Figuratively, we at Pittagoda take it to mean a place where people come to express their opinions irrespective of whether anyone is actually hearing them. Kind of like an FMS group discussion.

Pittagoda Books: Habibi

Sangeetha and Rohit discuss the graphic novel Habibi, written by Craig Thompson.

Set in a fairy tale landscape, a strange and timeless place called Wanatolia, Habibi tells the story of two individuals - Dodola and Zam, both orphaned at a young age and brought together through chance, circumstances and shared misery. They grow up through the book and discover their love changing from that of a mother-child (as a provider-dependant) to siblings (as playmates) to lovers.
