When to Keep It Simple Sweetheart
Season 4, Episode 2
Keep It Simple Sweetheart (KISS)
This popular phrase was coined by Kelly Johnson an engineer from Lockheed and used in the mid-1900s by mostly military personnel. Now often used in tech. industries and in advertising design. In non-commerce, it's heard as an off-the-cuff remark to express one's opinion that what is happening is too complex or "too much".

What is simple isn’t always easy.

How to Use Notepads in Your Planning Regimen
Season 4, Episode 1
It's the start of a solo season showcasing planner basics, product trends, pretty stuff, productive stuff, and more.
A recent trend I'm seeing is an oldie but a goodie yet it feels fresh and disruptive at the same time.
It's notepads!
- Maybe notepads can be less fuss?
- Maybe notepads can be cheaper?
- Maybe we just want to rip out pages, crumple them in a ball, then light them on fire when the week is over?
Whatever the case, notepads are making their resurgence with style.
Wanna start a convo about notepads? Head to Planner Lifestyle fb group
The items featured in today's show (no affiliation or list order) are as follows:

My guest says it so well...I am a business owner, wife, and mom to three boys. I have always wanted to own and grow a business, that is my first passion. My second passion is planning and knowing what I can do. Finally, my last passion would be learning and teaching history, especially American history.
I discovered goal planning just recently but it took me forever to find the right teacher and way. I am willing to figure things out and research until my answers are answered. Sometimes I go down the rabbit hole of researching and researching for hours at a time.
After finally having my first son, I got a degree in Business Management. Then I got my real estate license to see if I could do it and be a business owner. In my last year of being a realtor, I started a YouTube Channel called Working Mom Plans, tried to grow it but it didn’t feel like a good start. So earlier in 2020, I deleted that channel and created a new one, still using Working Mom Plans but as of June I finally changed it to something I feel is me. I am a nerd in many things, planning, computer games, books, learning everything, and crocheting.

My name is Anastasia, Stacy for short. I am a wife of 10 years and a mom to three beautiful girls, 15, 9, and 3. I struggled with infertility with my first daughter and had my last at age 41. I am an accountant by trade but switched careers this year and now work as a Finance Product Owner over ERP and my accounting background has been especially useful in my new role. This new position was a good fit as part of the requirement is to be able to view my team’s workload from a 50,000-foot viewpoint and be able to see the projects that may come down the pipeline and align our time and efforts to support them.
I have been planning since grade school, like most planners, starting with school planners, then a Franklin Covey. In 2015, I discovered the Happy Planner while in my last semester of college, taking three classes and working full-time with a toddler at home.
My hobby is decorating my planner and memory planning, I am an OG scrapbooker. I also have a love for shopping and Starbucks, but desperately need to develop a love for budgeting!

My guest says it so well...
Hi, I’m Shae’… a 30 something wife, boxer dog mom to Lennox and Layla amongst many other things. Though I’ve been planning pretty much since middle school, I’ve been in the planner community for about 5 years though most don’t know me. That’s because I am an introvert that talks only when I have something to say.
When I’m not planning, I am a full-time Math Coach in the public-school setting. I was able to take the planning skills I’ve learned over the years into how I manage my schedule and time at work. With that, I’d say planning is much more than a habit for me. It’s a skill that has definitely helped me stay organized while allowing me to be creative. That’s one of the main reasons I enjoy the planner community.
It’s not only because I like planning, but mostly because I have found so much inspiration from the people in the community. There are some amazing people that bring so much positivity into the world through more than a planner.

My guest says it so well...
I'm Jenna or plan.pen.paint.parent on Instagram. I'm a wife and mom from East Texas and I also have 2 pups. I'll be celebrating 10 years of marriage this August with my husband Caleb, and our son will turn 5 in September. We live out in the middle of nowhere and LOVE it here! We both grew up in the country and wanted the same for our kiddo, so we bought some land in a tiny little town and built a home.
I'm a stay-at-home mom and venturing into homeschool this year for Pre-K. I have been planning and sticker obsessed since middle school and practicing hand-lettering since early 2017. I joined the planner community shortly after and finally feel like I'm finding my path and following my heart.
I'm newly into crystals for healing purposes and I like sharing little bits about them on my planner posts.
On Saturday, August 1st- November 2020, I will officially be part of The Prancing Doxie PR team by Sarah Horst. The brand new website goes live on August 14th. My guest says it so well...
My name is Rachel. I started YouTube in 2012 as a hobby to do make-up videos and relax after work. I enjoyed my time doing that and interacting with the small community that grew around that channel. Around the time I started to drift away from being passionate about make-up tutorials I discovered the planner community and purchased my first Erin Condren planner.
As I became engaged with the planner community, I purchased my first Silhouette Cameo. My intention was to make stickers for myself, but with encouragement from my family, I decided to open an Etsy shop and list some of the stickers I had designed myself. That was in 2015.
Fast forward 5 years and Sticky Situations Co continues to grow year-over-year. It has pushed me to grow with my business and re-ignited my passion for YouTube as my channel transitioned from make-up to planners and lifestyle.

Stop Being Late! How to Build Margin feat. Productivity Muse
Season 2, Episode 29
Today's Guest:
Tabby Rivera, known as Productivity Muse, is a mom of three young, amazing adults, and one spoiled Yorkie called Luna. Tabby started her journey as a planner in 1995 with very conventional time scheduling methods but since then she has evolved her planning style to something that remains functional but shows-and-tells the story of her life.
In the adulting world, she is a Project Manager for a German software solutions company and manages worldwide e-commerce projects. Tabby also has been a Time (YOU) Management Mentor, a Certified Personal Organizer, and a Planner Event Coordinator. But that is not all of who she is because she also has an artsy side and creative flair that you just do not expect from someone who is so system driven.
During her planner evolution, Tabby has created Mrs. Pebbles (a planner sticker character) and founded both plannerDWEEB (one of the first planner communities in South Florida), and plannerTABLE (a vlog with a unique take on planners having a chat about ... well ... planners). Moreover, her passion lies in helping others get organized in a way that feels both natural and self-expressive.
That passion is what has prompted Tabby to create a social media presence, a blog, a website, a Facebook group, and workshops to share with the planner community her ideas and knowledge of how one can live an organized life that is full of color, fun, and personality.

Hi, My name is Mari and I am a planner.
I am also a mom, a wife, a Controller, and an avid budgeter.
I started planning and journaling as a middle schooler and it has been something that I have never given up. Up to the year 2014, I was using standard planners (Erin Condren, Day Designers, etc) until I came across Ryder Carroll and his Bullet Journal Method and my life has been forever changed. I absolutely love the flexibility and freedom that a bullet journal gives.
In my spare time, I love to teach bullet journaling, create new functional spreads and my favorite is helping families create and stick to a personal budget that can help them reach their financial goals.

IG: @kristensplanner
Blog: www.kristensplanner.com
My guest says it so well...
I am a Florida girl who enjoys the beach, boating, and a slow-paced lifestyle. I work with my husband to manage two marinas, and we switch off working in our office and caring for our two toddlers. I joined the family business after having our first son because I wanted to spend more time with him.
Before this, I worked in cognitive psychology and had a job testing IQ. I really enjoyed doing research in this field, and I think this tendency has carried over into planners for me.
They are essentially a way to collect data, and for some reason, I have the drive to do that. I was thrilled to discover the planner community as I was changing careers because it helped me find my way in new territory and connect with others that share this trait!
Besides planning, my other hobbies are reading (I love British and Chinese fiction) and journaling (I have kept a journal since age 7). I’m also a reality tv junkie!
