Composed by Maharshi Patanjali Yoga Darshan is the main darshan out of the six Indian Darshans. The narrative encompasses the complete scientific and spiritual aspect of Yoga in four chapters.
* Samadhi Pada - on enlightenment
* Sadhana Pada – about practice
* Vibhuti Pada –about results
* Kaivalya Pada –about liberation
Yoga Darshan is also known as Patanjali Yoga Sutra in the whole world and is the only authentic Yoga Granth. The Yoga has everything to give to the man who searched for it outside and did not find it. To the extent that even the divine traveling through the purity of body, heart and mind gets installed in the form of God. Yoga is a lifestyle as well as life in itself. Whatever problems the modern world is faced with or will face in the future, the 99% solution to all those issues will be possible only through Yoga. Yoga is also called Samadhi, which means solution.

YOGIC BREATHING PROCESS
Prana means life force , and ayama signifies regulation or control . Thus pranayama means regulating the life force . Sages have linked this life force with the breath in a gross form . Every living being breathes and through the medium of the breath , the flow of prana and life in the body takes place . If one stops inhaling , the lack of pranas in the body is felt , discomfort and unrest prevail and if one is forced to keep on holding the breath , death finally comes . For this reason the sages have linked the breath with the life force . According to them , physical health can be gained by controlling prana shakti through the practices of pranayama , thus sustaining the body .

Sri Krishna said in the opening section of the Bhagavad Gita: Sri Krishna was born in northern India in approximately 3,228 BCE. The Puranas consider Sri Krishna’s life to mark the passing of the Dvapara age into the Kali Yuga (current age) Krishna was born in prison to devout parents – Devaki and Vasudeva. At the time of his birth, his life was in danger because the tyrant Kamsa was seeking to kill him. It had been foretold that Kamsa would be killed by Devaki’s eighth child. Since Sri Krishna was the eighth child, he was smuggled out of prison to be raised by his foster parents Nanda and Yasoda in Gokula. Nanda lived a simple lifestyle and was a chief in the local Cow-herding community. The young Sri Krishna is often depicted in these days as being a mischievous child, who enjoyed playing pranks and having fun. Some worship Sri Krishna as the ideal child of innocence.
However, even in his young years, Krishna is reported to have killed demons Trinavarta and Putana. He is also said to have lifted a nearby hill – Govardhana to protect the villagers against the wrath of Indra.

Patañjali Yogasutra ( English) 2 of 195 , Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodha
Before the 20th century, history indicates that the medieval Indian yoga scene was dominated by the various other texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Vasistha, texts attributed to Yajnavalkya and Hiranyagarbha, as well as literature on hatha yoga, tantric yoga and Pashupata Shaivism yoga rather than the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali.[6]
Hindu orthodox tradition holds the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali to be one of the foundational texts of classical Yoga philosophy.[7][8] However, the appropriation - and misappropriation - of the Yoga Sutras and its influence on later systematizations of yoga has been questioned by scholars such as David Gordon White,[5] but reaffirmed by others such as James Mallinson.[9]
Modern scholars of yoga such as Philipp A. Maas[10] and Mallinson[11] consider the Bhasya commentary on the Sutras to be Patanjali's own, and the Sutras to be his summary of older accounts of yoga. The combined document is thus considered to be a single work, the Pātañjalayogaśāstra.[11]

Chapter 49 Autobiography Of a Yogi Hindi
This is about Paramhans Yoganand ji Paramahansa Yogananda (born Mukunda Lal Ghosh; January 5, 1893 – March 7, 1952) was an Indian monk, yogi and guru who lived his last 32 years in America. He introduced millions to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga through his organization Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) / Yogoda Satsanga Society (YSS) of India. A chief disciple of the Bengali yoga guru Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, he was sent by his lineage to spread the teachings of yoga to the West, to prove the unity between Eastern and Western religions and to preach a balance between Western material growth and Indian spirituality. His long-standing influence in the American yoga movement, and especially the yoga culture of Los Angeles, led him to be considered by yoga experts as the "Father of Yoga in the West."
Paramhansa Yogananda was the first yoga master of India whose mission it was to permanently live and teach in the West. In the 1920s, as he criss-crossed the United States on what he called his "spiritual campaigns", his enthusiastic audiences filled the largest halls of America. His initial impact was truly impressive. But his lasting influence is greater still.
This audiobook, the version of which was first published in 1946, helped launch a spiritual revolution in the West. Only rarely does a sage of Paramhansa Yogananda's stature write a firsthand account of his life experiences.
