Season 3, Episode 6: Sports-tastic PR & The European Super League
It's a game of two halves, and it's a funny old game. This time on the pod, we have two guests to discuss sports PR and the utter shambles that was the European Super League / The Super League and the disastrous comms surrounding its announcement. David Alexander, former sports journalist and MD of PR agency Calacus, and sports comms consultant, Dan Tunna, join Adam and Jon for an episode that's light on swears but heavy on insight. Jon shows his lack of football (soccer?) knowledge, though attempts a somewhat valiant effort of describing the off-side rule, while Adam, Dan, and David discuss some of the greatest clubs in red (Liverpool, Arsenal, and Charlton Athletic) and the wider nature of sports comms in general.
Season 3, Episode 5: A Rush of SEM to the head
The answer to one of the greatest marcoms mysteries is revealed in the latest episode of the pod! This time, Adam and Jon are joined by reformed broadcast and online journalist, Laura Morrelli - Head of Media for the UK & Australia at SEMRush - who discusses her career trajectory and her move from Australia to Britain, as well as how data is combating fake news and a whole lot more.
Season 3, Episode 4: Audience, audience, audience
Oh boy, here's a corker of an episode! Freelance PR creative director, Sam Brown aka The PR Mastercoach, joins Adam and Jon for an episode of insight, anecdotes, heavily edited Bristol chatter, and swearing. Sam's experience with working with agencies and household brands over the last 25 years shines through in a no-holds-barred dissection of the modern day PR industry. Author of the lockdown-produced '20 Rules of PR aka How to get it right and not f*uck it up', Sam shares her views on the public perception of the industry, the sector du jour - Digital PR - and so much more. A must listen episode of the pod.
