We experience Dr Phillip Goff in his natural habitat as he defends Panpsychism against both the direct questioning of students and curated comments from his most relentless Internet critics.
Gabriel was forced to not read about Panpsychism so he could approach it from pure, undistilled logic, and be the Elizabeth of Bohemia to Goff's Descartes.
Sam - a fan of Physicalism - forces Goff into responding to questions that may be avoided in the bureaucracy of The Joe Rogan Experience.
Will attempts to steer the conversation toward answering the question and being interesting, occasionally expressing his admiration for our Special Guest.

The return of Deputy Biscuit Officer Aiken to the podcast allows him to speak on a similar topic to one that he chose for a particularly controversial real life Discussion and Debate Society session (Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 ER149), but unfortunately couldn't attend.
Gabriel strongly believes in shifting focus from obesity to health in general, Will has various opinions opposing Gabriel including one involving the military, and Aiken argues for the increased responsibility that people should have for their own health.

DADS Podcast #8: Would we want to live forever?
Will's argument that prolonged living is insincere and unnatural gets contrasted with Treasurer Kairos' view that we should want to expand our lifespan significantly if possible. Gabriel sympathises with both arguments but ''logically'' concludes that death is bad and must be avoided.

DADS Podcast #7: Does participation increase the value of art? (Ben Bradley)
Representing Durham improv group Shellshock, the very talented and funny Ben convincingly argues for the specialness of art that is actively being created, such as that of improvised comedy, the phenomena of a social movement, or experiencing karaoke.
Fellow improviser Gabriel holds a similar view, while Will prefers art which has been perfected and ''sculpted''. He argues that improvised art should be viewed with the same lens as any other form, with its advantage being its likelihood of creating a ''moment of genius''.
It is within this context that Ben discusses the nature of improvisation and showcases his comedic sharpness and talent. I (Will) would recommend this to anyone interested in understanding/improving at comedy, and for getting a deeper insight into one of the most talented people I've ever seen.

Former DADS President Jamilla argues that becoming proficient in multiple languages should be more normalised, while A-level Spanish's Will says that won't work because people don't care.
