Emotional Eating is one of the number one reasons why we can't lose unnecessary physical and emotional pounds. Pounds that are weighing us down from living the life we deserve. Living free from emotional eating will not just help you lose weight physically but also mentally. The tools that Rachel will teach you in this podcast will benefit all areas of your life. Giving you a new sense of freedom and energy to live from.
Do you trust yourself?
Seems like a pretty obvious answer to most.
But really do you?
Most people deep down in their core don’t trust themself.
Honestly, they shouldn’t because they don’t follow through with what they are going to do for themself.
For example, do you tell yourself I am going to meditate and self-coach every morning, and do it at best 2 days a week?
Or that you are going to read every night and you end up just watching netflix and pass out?
Seems like not a big deal right?
But. . .
It is. When you don’t follow through for yourself, you break down your ability to trust yourself for the bigger things.
So when you want to lose weight or start that new business you don't’ trust yourself that you’ll be able to.
Self-trust is key in creating any result in your life.
A healthy body.
A calm life.
A business without overwhelm.
A home without yelling and screaming.
A relationship filled with love and ease.

Do you find yourself in the pantry, the freezer, or grabbing a glass of wine everyday around 4 pm?
You know it’s not good for you, but it also feels like the only option when you are so worn out from your day. You deserve it right?
Deep down you really want to stop, because you know it’s not helping in your cause to take off those last 10 pounds.
In the coaching world, we talk about this as buffering. Using a false pleasure to feel different then you currently do.
It’s a fabulous avoidance tactic. Except in the long run. It doesn’t foster wellbeing.
It keeps us from fully experiencing what we are capable of.
The solution is to stop. To give up the false pleasures. To instead allow all the feelings.

The holidays are filled with decisions to be made. If you are anything like me or old me, this can feel quite exhausting and overwhelming.
Leaving you to procrastinate. Causing a shit ton of anxiety.
Making decisions wasn’t always easy for me. I used to agonize over them. It would keep me up at night and distract me from getting any real work done, and leave me without any energy for my own self care.
When I started coaching I knew this was something that needed to be addressed.
So I went to work on it.
Today I still practice this work all the f’ing time.
In today’s episode I am going to give you a peek into the concept of, Decisions Dominance” that I created to help me make decisions. So if you are struggling with making decisions right now or ever, this episode is for you.

If I let myself get hungry I’ll eat everything in sight. Yup, you are probably going to eat yourself into a coma right?
Sounds ridiculous but it’s so often what our brains are telling us.
The craziest part is you believe your brain. Why doesn’t your brain only want what’s best for you?
Unfortunately not always.
Your brain wants to keep you safe and comfortable.
So when you are feeling hungry you are most likely also uncomfortable. So you avoid it. You pick up the excuses you have heard from others like, overeating happens because you let yourself get too hungry. So then you avoid it at all costs.
It’s actually not true.
I know for a fact every year on Yom Kippur I fast for about 24 hours and when I start eating, I don’t eat till I’m sick or till I’m in a coma.
Because I know how to stop when I’m full. Actually I usually eat less because my stomach fills up quicker.
The key is learning how to stop fearing hunger as the big bad scary wolf and learning how to eat til you're full and becoming more mindful of how you feel. The other part is to fully understand all the bs that your mind is going to serve up in the process and how to deal with it.
In today’s podcast I am going to talk all about why there is no need to fear hunger and why it might be stalling your progress.

Have you ever contemplated why you want to lose weight or why you want to stop feeling anxious all the time?
A lot of the time people will come to me and say because they want to feel more comfortable.
But, what does that really mean? Is that going to be enough to keep you out of the pantry after a really shitty day? Or is that alone going to keep you from yelling at your spouse when he’s not helping you? Or keep you waking up early to mediate when you didn’t sleep well?
Having a super powerful why is key if you want to lose the weight, stop yelling at everyone, feel less overwhelmed, and feel motivated on a daily basis.
In today’s episode I am going to share my why and teach you an exercise that’s going to help you create your big why.

Processing emotions, does that sound scary or complicated?
I used to think that because I didn’t understand what it really meant.
Here’s my interpretation:
Allowing a feeling to be in your body without resisting, avoiding or reacting.
Just noticing it.
Seems so simple right?
It actually can be simple. However I wouldn’t say it’s always easy.
Choosing to feel discomfort goes against everything our primitive brains are wired for. So, we don’t choose it, even though it is required to live a fully free life.
If we want to be free, we have to do the exact opposite of what our brains want us to do. We have to choose discomfort, avoid pleasure in the moment, and be willing to face fear.
Our world has evolved since primitive time, so what was best for us then, isn’t necessarily best for us now.
Today’s episode is all about processing pain so you can live free. Which doesn’t mean happy all the time. It just means living the human experience, feeling all the good and the bad. Remember if we were happy all the time we wouldn’t even know it because we would have nothing to compare it to.

Have you ever considered that you're meant to have a certain level of anxiety in your life?
Maybe even 50%?
In primitive times we lived in a constant state of fight or flight. It was how we evolved. It’s why we are here today.
What if this is true for you now too?
That learning to manage your anxiety is how you will evolve.
If having anxiety isn’t a problem, what would be different for you? For your life? Your health?
In today’s episode I am going to dive into anxiety and talk about different ways to manage it.
As we learn to feel in control over our anxiety we feel more in control over our emotional eating.
Whether you emotionally eat or not, if you experience anxiety today’s episode is for you.
Do you have a fail plan?
You know a plan of what you will say to yourself if you mess up.
Or are you just letting your default brain serve up some thoughts???
If you're letting your default brain serve up thoughts, likely it’s just choosing thoughts to keep you comfortable.
Comfortable thoughts aren’t likely going to get you closer to your goal. Because often they sound something like this:
Fuck I did it again. It was inevitable that I would fail.
The only reason this thought is comfortable is because you have said it so many times to yourself.
Likely it’s not serving you.
You’re going to need a thought like, “I’m a human and I slipped up, and it’s okay I’m learning.”
Notice how different the two thoughts feel in your body.
