Duke James Episode 1
Kicking off a new series where I will be recording the first year of Duke. I wanted to capture special moments and hard challenges so that we could always remember them together. Hopefully this can be something you listen to when you are older for a good laugh and when you miss mom. And also, to find your roots again if you get lost. This is also dedicated to new mothers who might want to join in on the journey. No way is the right way but we can all be in this together.

Eating Disorder Vs. Disordered Eating: The Elephant in the Room
So many people are struggling or have struggled with their relationship with food. It seriously could be the best or worst relationship you have. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misunderstanding of what eating disorders and disordered eating actually are as well as a lack of self awareness teaching to prevent this from happening. In this episode I share the true definitions of these terms, my own experience with struggling with food, as well as some tips on how to better handle situations with yourself and others that may be going through it.

Getting Through My Darkest Moments
2019 has been a rough year for me and the last 6 weeks have been a dark tunnel. In this episode I share the reasons why I got there and how I am getting out of it. Dark times don't have to last, we will always have them so we just need to be prepared on how to get through them because light always prevails
Unhealthy vs. Healthy Relationship with Food
Do you know if you have a healthy relationship with food? Do you know what eating intuitively really means? Let me walk you through how I learned through a parallel story of human relationships. All relationships, whether its food or human, can become unhealthy by the same root effects. In this episode we explore what those root effects are and how to navigate through those roots to develop a healthier relationship with food and also define ourselves without calorie counting, the scale, or a certain look. And with that, our impact is able to grow larger.
Fueling- Why You Need To
I see FOCers, FOPers, and FOFers (fear of carbs, fear of protein, and feat of fat) After studying the physiological benefits of all three I believe it is imperative that all people know how each fuel your body and why they are important and not to fear them. I touch on them at a high level in this episode and talk about the impact you can make on your performance if you critically think about the truth from science and how to optimize for the truth of your own values and body.
**Note I am not a dietician or an endocrinologist- this is just for a high level education and nudge to critically think. All medical advice or action needs to be coordinated with your physician
