073- THE WORTHLESS AND THE TRUE (James 1: 26-27)
This is Part 4 of our study through the book of James. In this episode, we look at what James considers "worthless religion" and compare that to what he considers to be "true religion." We will look at James 1: 26-27.
"26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. 27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."
-James 1:26-27
072- FAITH IN ACTION (James 1: 19-25)
This is Part 3 of the study through the book of James. In this episode, I take a look at James 1:19-25 and why it is important to be "doers" of the Word, not just "hearers" of the Word.
071- DO NOT BE DECEIVED (James 1:9-18)
This is Part 2 of the study through the Book of James. In this episode, I dissect verses 9-18 in the first chapter of James.
070- CONSIDER IT PURE JOY (James 1:1-8)
In this episode of the Rise. Kill. Eat. Podcast, I break down James 1:1-8 verse-by-verse and look at what it means to consider it pure joy when facing the hard times of life.

066- "God And Science"
At first thought, it would seem that the world of science and the perspective and belief in the God of The Bible do not go together. However, I don't believe that is always the case. The issue occurs when your belief in Science becomes your god. This week I discuss a little bit of the history between "The Church" and the "science community," seeing science from a biblical perspective, and I discuss what The Bible is not.

"Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered the village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, 'Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.' But the Lord answered her, ' Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.'" -Luke 10:38-42

061- Salt And Light
In this week's episode of the Rise. Kill. Eat. Podcast, I record a short episode covering what it means to be "salt and light" as mentioned in Matthew 5:13-16.
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." -Matthew 5:13-16

043- "Rise, Kill, and Eat"
“Then a voice told him, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” These words are the NIV translation for the 13th verse of the book of Acts chapter 10. These words are familiar to hunters and outdoorsmen of the faith and they resonate throughout our community of hunters as almost an anthem and a challenge to the pursuits that we enjoy. But to isolate this verse without reference to the other verses within its context misses a much greater opportunity to understand what God is telling Peter and ultimately, what God is saying to us today, just 2000 years later. So what I want to do today is to tell the full story of Acts 10 and what the significance is of this chapter. So, in order to do that, let’s dive into Acts Chapter 10 together.

032- God. Freedom. Great. Outdoors.- Part 3
Today's episode features the third part to our "God. Freedom. Great Outdoors." Series. Over the past 3 weeks, I have dissected the meaning behind the slogan of the Rise. Kill. Eat. Podcast. On this episode, I discuss what the "Great Outdoors" means to me and what it means to this show. Enjoy!
Quote from today's episode: "But also remember it when everything comes together. Remember it when you pull the trigger and you watch the animal drop to the ground. Remember it as you approach your downed animal and see the fruits of your countless hours of hard work, diligence, patience, and perseverance. And also remember to give thanks to God for putting you on this Earth and giving you the opportunity to hunt. You are healthy enough to hunt, you are wealthy enough to hunt, you are knowledgeable enough to hunt, and you live in a country where you have the opportunity to hunt. Be thankful in your pursuits and get out and enjoy the Great Outdoors."

030- God. Freedom. Great Outdoors.- Part 2
Freedom is dynamic and it is prevalent across multiple platforms: spiritually, patriotically, within hunting and the outdoors, and many more. But the thing about it is that it isn’t often handed to you. It requires a conscious, intentional pursuit and a deliberate perseverance in order to maintain it. There is freedom to be found and there is freedom in our pursuits. Welcome to the Rise Kill Eat Podcast. This is part 2 of our 3-part series where I will dissect the slogan of this show- God. Freedom. Great Outdoors.

028- God. Freedom. Great Outdoors.- Part 1
Anyone that has listened to this show for any period of time has heard me talk about the show’s slogan of “God, Freedom, and the Great Outdoors.” This slogan was chosen and created intentionally because all three of these things- God, freedom, and the great outdoors- are things that have a high priority in my personal life. And I know these are things that are priorities in your lives as well. Over the next few weeks, I will be dissecting these three elements that the Rise. Kill. Eat. Podcast is all about. This is the first part of the series where I will break down the dynamics of these priorities. I hope you enjoy the show.
