During her initial years in the film industry, Jones launched her career by creating handmade props and scenic art, which led to set dressing and art directing many commercials and music videos. She has had the opportunity to work with various notable productions, such as, Portlandia, Little People Big World, Red Bull, Kleenex, Mazda, Google, Green Room, Intel Corp., and more. Jones was awarded the TalNexus Unscripted Film Lab grant in early 2019. This grant will be supporting her upcoming project, a film that documents the do-it-yourself skateboard culture and the associated legal conflicts. In 2012, Garcia directed The Rise and Fall of The Clash, a controversial film dealing with the obscure end of the Clash. In 2014, Looking For Johnny, Garcia’s documentary on the legendary New York Dolls’ guitarist Johnny Thunders, was released worldwide. Looking for Johnny peaked at #10 in the Billboard Music DVD charts in the US, and #1 in Sweden and Japan. In 2016, after a successful film festival run, Sad Vacation, his documentary on Sid and Nancy, was also released worldwide. He has just completed a new music documentary on Stiv Bators. Rockshow Episode 177 Oasis Oasis was a British rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Known as one of the most prominent bands of the 1990s, they were part of the Britpop movement alongside other popular acts like Blur, Pulp, and Suede. The band consisted of songwriter and guitarist Noel Gallagher, his brother Liam Gallagher as the lead vocalist, guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan, and drummer Tony McCarroll. Later members included Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Alan White. Oasis released their debut album, "Definitely Maybe," in 1994, which became one of the fastest-selling debut albums in the UK. This album contains popular tracks such as "Supersonic," "Live Forever," and "Cigarettes & Alcohol." Their follow-up album, "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" (1995), met even greater success with hit singles like "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," and "Champagne Supernova," and is considered one of the best-selling albums in British history. Throughout their career, the band continued to produce successful albums, such as "Be Here Now" (1997), "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" (2000), "Heathen Chemistry" (2002), "Don't Believe the Truth" (2005), and "Dig Out Your Soul" (2008). However, Oasis was also known for their tumultuous relationships, especially between the Gallagher brothers and several lineup changes, which dominated headlines at times. Finally, in August 2009, Noel Gallagher announced his departure from the band due to ongoing disputes with his brother, effectively leading to the disbandment of Oasis. Post-Oasis, both Gallagher brothers pursued solo careers, with Noel forming the band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and Liam creating the band Beady Eye, later followed by a solo career. Formed in Tottenham, North London in 1959, the group mainly consisted of Dave Clark (drums), Mike Smith (vocals, keyboards), Lenny Davidson (guitar), Rick Huxley (bass), and Denis Payton (saxophone, guitar). The Dave Clark Five quickly gained fame with their distinct sound, characterized by prominent drums, electric organ, saxophone, and harmonized vocals. Their first UK hit was "Do You Love Me" in 1963, which was followed by a string of successful singles, including "Glad All Over," "Bits and Pieces," and "Catch Us If You Can." In 1964, "Glad All Over" dethroned The Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand" from the top spot on the UK charts, further cementing their status as one of the leading British Invasion bands.
