Insights on Getting International Clients as a Freelancer | BlueLearn Virtual Event
This episode is from a virtual event hosted by BlueLearn. It's all about the mindset you need to get international clients, the tactics, and the insights that I've gathered over the last couple of years. The latter half of this video has a lot of Q&A that I think can be super helpful for freelancers getting started in their journey. I hope you find it insightful and I hope you enjoy it!

Behind the Scenes of Working With International Clients | The Journey 031
Problems I faced in opening a corporate bank account, outsourced taxes to a legal company, met with potential clients, closed a new client based in Austin, Texas, learnt the difference between a "done-for-you service" and a "done-with-you service", messed up an opportunity, lessons learnt, closed a new client based in San Francisco, California, started my investing journey, changed payments platform from PayPal to Stripe, scaling by upselling existing clients, and the things I've learnt till now by working with international clients as a freelancer.

Got My Firm Registered | The Journey 030
Got my firm registered as a sole proprietorship, applied for a current account, meeting with bank officials, enrolled in sales and game & experience design pro league, read the book "Your Next Five Moves", watched the show "Billions", payment received for august, client on a social media break, reached out to some prospects, messed up an opportunity but learnt a lot, and bought a domain name for my firm.

Best Month So Far | The Journey 029
Bought a webcam for video meetings to guide freelancers properly, July was the best month so far in terms of revenue, just focusing on things which are really required as of "NOW", learnt that speaking the language of the client or the other person helps, Instagram launched Reels in the US so that's another platform to focus on now, and crossed 1,000 followers on Twitter (aka my thought diary)!

Back on YouTube, Once Again | The Journey 028
Back on YouTube after a 7 month break, overview of everything I did during that time, was working alone for the most part but recently started working with some freelancers so that I can focus on other things as well.
Learning About Hiring and Legal Requirements | The Journey 027
New cover art, client back in action, why I can't use my mic with a USB-C to 3.5 mm converter, learning about hiring, the P.S. method to remind someone something, have to stop sharing client related stuff now, even I procrastinate a lot, feeling overwhelmed is a good sign, started Naval's 60 Day Meditation Challenge (documenting it on twitter), and the big difference between freelancing and building an agency.

New Workflow | The Journey 026
Online exams, finished The Last Dance, new workflow (Photoshop + Premiere Pro instead of PixelLab + Filmora), figuring out how to get back on YouTube, PSU cover plate bent :( , edited and exported first video in Premiere Pro, godspeed rendering, goal oriented learning, client MIA, sent invoice for the month of June, rough plan for the next two years, received $100 for press referral, the "passion confusion", sent payment reminders, and trying to get another client.
Bought A New PC | The Journey 025
How the BLM protests in the US affected me, why it took me about 3 weeks to get my PC all set,up and running, power of documenting proved once again, and my current plans now that I've got a PC.
One thing which I forgot to tell in the episode: CPU delivery was delayed because the package was stuck in a containment zone. I came to know about this after the package was delivered, not during transit, which is why the delays were frustrating.
This Paypal Business Tool Is Amazing | The Journey 024
Messed up sleep schedule, an amazing Paypal Business tool, self coached myself to focus on the work, not the result, researched about PC build, spending as less time as possible on things that don't match or exceed my hourly rate, YouTube payment, one thing which Coronavirus made clear for me, only person in my family earning during lockdown lol, started listening to the "How To Get Rich" mega podcast episode by Naval, started watching The Last Dance, looking back at the last two months feels awesome, shifted to monthly payments instead of weekly.

Closed Management Deal Too | The Journey 023
Editing in chunks, thoughts on watching web series, don't rely on freelance platforms, learn B2B sales, social media gets overwhelming at times, my reading speed currently, making the client feel special, closed management deal too, everything going awesome, caught myself being complacent, interview with Waqas Hassn, fixing my daily schedule, slammed at work, researching about an editing PC build, and figuring out how to ensure what I learn from books gets applied in real life.
Third Project Done | The Journey 022
A benefit of documenting my journey, Foundergraphy collaboration, Avalon Meta app got launched, gave an interview for an amazing thing, calling it now: AvalonArmy is going to do crazy stuff in a few years, third project done, PAYMENT RECIEVED, no screenshots from now XD, how I overcame existential crisis, 36 hours without WiFi, Abhinav Arora's cold email guide review, long term relationship with the client, can't subscribe to a tool, The RM Show now available on JioSaavn, replace the word "sell" with the word "help", and the book which I'm currently reading.

Second Project Done | The Journey 021
Maximizing short term vs playing long term, LinkedIn lead gen hack working great, a romanian businessman hit me up on linkedin because of..., group zoom call with social media management team of the client, second project done, PAYMENT RECEIVED, story of how it all started, and the snowball effect.
The Transition Mistake | The Journey 020
A mistake which I did a few months ago but realized just recently, dropped one client, not a big time entrepreneur/agency lol, extra work approved and done, PAYMENT RECEIVED, life's great, second project started, renewed domain, social media comeback, BeerBiceps (Ranveer Allahbadia) shared my post, maker's schedule and manager's schedule, no daily updates, and trying to build back some habits.
One Project Done | The Journey 019
Spent this week mostly on working on one of the projects which I got last week, upgraded to Dropbox Plus, learnt a lot about how the editing can be improved and how to speed up the whole process, daily updates tip, Twitter is underrated, Avalon Army VR meetup, truth about seenzoning, spending the lockdown time productively.
First International Sales Call of My Life | The Journey 018
Things which i forgot to share in the previous episode (good relationship with a big retail banking influencer, both clients retained, won two Avalon competitions), cold InMailing/Linkedin Messaging, got two responses, bit nervous about the sales calls, GTA mindset, reschedule after reschedule (tarikh pe tarikh XD), great call, potential retainer client, and a mistake which I did.
Cold Email Whitepaper: https://reply.io/cold-email-whitepaper
Optimism Required | The Journey 017
Helped the Avalon Meta team, lead gen, got a professional email, funny story of how I lost a prospect, PayPal Payments now working, EDM Land & EDM Fandom, helped a lot of people get some Udemy courses for free, got LinkedIn premium subscription of 6 months for free, separate agency for foreign clients (will be working myself initially), coronavirus, fell in a rut and slowly getting out.
Stay home, stay safe ❤️
Time to Expand | The Journey 016
Rejected a Speaking Gig | The Journey 015
Won $500 | The Journey 014
Documents & Payment Apps | The Journey 013
Spent a lot of time on documents and payment apps coz I have to get those things in place now that I'm above 18 (*smiles*)! Got bored of copywriting so stopped learning it. Got 1 retainer client for One Up Designs and one potential client who's on a 10 day free trial.
The main takeaway from this video should be that documents and payment apps take a lot of time :'( but once they're done, you can use them for unlimited time!😏

Started Learning Copywriting | The Journey 012
The 4th project of One Up Designs got finished, took a small break after Diwali, applied for some documents, started learning copywriting, in talks with 2 potential retainer clients, and yes...studying for the upcoming exams :'(
The main takeaway from this episode should be that hardwork compounds! I shared my own example in this episode to make you understand :)

Perspective Switch | The Journey 011
It was my birthday week, and Andy Frisella gave me a great present through his instagram stories. He talked about looking at life and what you do from a different perspective which helped me a lot and that's what I share in this episode!
I also share a bonus point in the later half of the episode, so don't miss that! P.S. Thank you so much to every single one of you who wished me a happy birthday. Means a lot!❤️

Started a Graphic Design Agency | The Journey 010
Decided to start a graphic design agency instead of being an individual freelancer. In this video, I share why I decided to do so, how I came up with the name "One Up Designs" and how I got my first few clients.
One of the big takeaways from this episode should be that if you can't do everything alone, get some people and build a team! Don't hire, collaborate. Will you have to share the money with them? Yes, but it's better than being alone and making 0 anyways!

How I Network And Build Great Connections
On this episode of The Ronit Mangnani Show, I talk about how I network through social media and build great connections. Connecting with successful people through social media has truly helped me a lot! Every single guest I've had on this show has came from an Instagram DM or LinkedIn Message. Sending somebody a message won't change your life, but the relationship you build with that person will! On this episode, I will be talking about how I started networking through social media and will be reading to you the messages I've sent to successful people in order for them to get on my podcast, and will also break down the mindset behind the words used in the messages. I truly believe this episode will bring a lot of value to you if you want to get connected with super successful people, build a great network through social media or invite successful people as guests on your podcast.

I Started With 0 Support | The Journey 009
Didn't got a lot done in the last 2 weeks. Was out of station for a few days, completed some assignments but managed to get some work done! Listened to Sell Or Be Sold, started a graphic design course and prepped for an upcoming event :)
One of the big takeaways from this episode should be that if nobody's supporting you, it's good! Chasing a dream without anyone supporting you will make you very "tough" and toughness is a key trait of every successful person!

Time To Build A Foundation | The Journey 008
Starting today, I will also be uploading "The Journey" episodes on my podcast so that you can consume the episode in the whichever way you want, video or audio :) In this week I navigated through a lot of confusions about money, side hustle and main hustle, etc and finally decided to build a foundation which will help me fund my activities in the future.
Decided to just focus on freelancing till I get to a level at which I can earn $40/hour which I will then reinvest into whatever I do in future. Patience required!
