Andy Greenacre: Suffolk based Artist/Photographer Radio DJ The Beyond Plastic Exhibition last year.

Andy Greenacre: Suffolk based Artist/Photographer Radio DJ The Beyond Plastic Exhibition last year.

Here’s my zoom recorded podcast originally from 29.10.2020. This in fact which was my second attempt at trying to use zoom to record a podcast with Andy Greenacre as the first time we had technical difficulties who is a Suffolk based artist/photographer also does radio for the local Suffolk radio station for BBC Radio Suffolk. We talk a lot his university experience abs what that was like his artwork process, how he creates his artwork what his artwork is through sculptural installation for example the piece titled ‘Sandscape' made up of 520 ish pieces forms of waste plastic packing in his words he did for the exhibition titled Beyond Plastic last year from the 3rd Of August to the 29th Of August 2019 at the lovely Minories Art Gallery in Colchester Essex which I got to see which was cool to check out particularly to see his work it was great for the first time in person. Also through his photography too as he had photography workshop business where he does photography courses. What also was great that we could connect with our love of the idea of both our artwork we both do which is sculptural installation is about interaction and engaging with it from the public from all levels so it’s stimulating all your senses hopefully in a positive way as I for me personally I always want to create work which people love like my beautiful red den sculptural installation titled R.E.D AKA stands for Roseanna’s Everlasting Den which you can go inside and experience creating a a way to engage with others chat together how can you not like it it’s got such a comforting cosy inviting vibe appearance to it particularly with having the lights inside it I love it so much. Also which is what I love so much not just looking at a 2D painting a traditional piece of artwork for example which I don’t find as exciting in my opinion so that was great for us to discover as we chatted we had that connection. Finally if you can share it with your friends spread the word on this raw un edited podcast of mine would be much appreciated. Thanks. Roseanna

Nicola and Tim: On their experience volunteering at CI advising giving tutorials to FA Students.

Nicola and Tim: On their experience volunteering at CI advising giving tutorials to FA Students.

Originally recorded last year in March 2019 on the 16.3.2019 in person inside my beautiful red den sculptural installation titled Roseanna’s Everlasting Den when it was exhibited at The Minories Art Gallery in Colchester Essex as part of the exhibition Lost In Wonderland curated by my wonderful fellow artist creative friend Gemma Abbott who worked their previously before it had ti close unfortunately this year due to the horrible virus Covid-19 but luckily now its with its management still The Victor Batte-Lay Foundation and The Arts Council of England too combined getting sorted out taken care off to reshape and re build it keeping its character hopefully too as it’s such a pretty lovely building compared to Firstsite Art Gallery next door which is this big modern building. so hopefully in the future it will be back up and running for the public also with great new cafe too as I loved the cafe also. With two of my wonderful best friends Nicola and Tim on talking about their experience volunteering helping out Foundation Art Students at Colchester Institute in Colchester Essex. I do hope you enjoy if anyone listens to this as they talk honestly and openly Nicola and Tim. This was something I was interested in doing too as I love the idea of helping out giving some advice the Foundation Students having been one myself but I’ve never had the chance yet and maybe now it’s not something that I want to definitely happen now still but could still be a fun experience say if it did happen maybe potentially especially after hearing how Nicola and Tim had to prepare for each chat with each student in the groups they got learning about each students work individually and they don’t get a lot of time with each student to give out feedback in tutorials a few minutes I think for each student I don’t know if I could do it actually particularly on my own it would be quite intense and stressful maybe at times so in that sense I think they were lucky they were doing it both together to be able to back each other if one is lost in thoughts knowing what to say for that student that would be my worry. I obviously always feel so comfortable and easy doing a podcast with them as they are two of my best friends so I hope that comes across our natural chatty conversational friends camaraderie together we have. Finally give it a listen if your interested and enjoy it. Finally if you can share it with your friends spread the word on this raw un edited podcast of mine would be much appreciated. Thanks. Connie Van Helfteren: Art School Foundation @CI Degree Brighton Photography Firstsite & Level Best.

From in September this year the 14.9.2020. I did another zoom online raw, honest, real and authentic not edited podcast of mine where I was joined by my fellow art creative friend the lovely Connie Van Helfteren who I met on the Art Foundation Course back in 2014 at Colchester Institute. From her experience of Art School doing the Foundation Course studying photography at Colchester Institute which we talk about what was her experience like for her from her perspective. Then continuing with a photography to do a photography Degree in the wonderful jazzy arty place that is Brighton. What was her experience was studying photography in Brighton. Working at Firstsite Art Gallery last year during the summer holidays being in charge managing the Children’s Art Makers Activities Table in Firstsite in Colchester Essex and in Harwich at the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre. and in her current job now at Level Best. Where her job involves helping adults with learning Difficulties learn and gain important valuable work experience including training in the Level Best Art Cafe Restaurant in Colchester. Which I think sounds so rewarding personally as a job so thanks again Connie for a real down to earth podcast chat I much appreciate your time being on my podcast. Finally hopefully you listeners can enjoy this real un edited raw podcast chat and if you can share it with your friends it would be great thanks again. Roseanna

Rebecca Buckle: Firstsite Art Gallery Uni Theatre Performing Puppet Making Unfamiliars On Freaks!

Rebecca Buckle: Firstsite Art Gallery Uni Theatre Performing Puppet Making Unfamiliars On Freaks!

A lovely not edited again real in-depth zoom recorded again podcast chat in two parts as we had some technical difficulties with zoom which which meant we had to zoom twice so hopefully anyone whose listening doesn’t mind as it’s been a lot easier to still to do through zoom since lockdown due to Covid- 19 from 7.7.2020 back in the summer in July. I did with my lovely fellow creative guest Rebecca Buckle. Rebecca Buckle is a fellow creative neurodiverse magical women artist as I would describe her as we both talk about this on the podcast and how she describes herself too. Who works at Firstsite Art Gallery which is where I met her last year around May /June I think when I was volunteering and she had recently got the job as a Gallery Assistant and as I got to get to know her and her knowing me during my time volunteering on shifts with her also thought she would make a interesting podcast guest so I told her and asked her and luckily she was interested which was great but we didn’t actually do a podcast recorded chat until then a year later finally we did it. Unfortunately though when we finally decide to to plan a date to do it COVID -19 comes so on zoom was a safer easier option as it’s mentioned at the beginning. Rebecca makes handmade puppets in her spare time to use to make performing theatre shows and has experience working in a school. She studied a creative performance acting degree. We both were part of a Arts event back in January earlier this year as part of Unfamiliar’s a Colchester based art event. The wonderfully fellow creatively talented Gemma Abbott my friend who I told Rebecca about and so then that’s how she was able to be apart of this particular Unfamiliar’s event as it appealed to Rebecca who organises for other local artists to join and be a part of share there creativity every four months and this one was themed On Freaks held at the wonderful venue Colchester Art Centre. I did a live podcast recording with small audience but still was so exciting still to have some people come watch me and her for my second live podcast with the great fellow artist as my guest in interviewed Lisa Temple Cox who I loved chatting too and Rebecca herself did a live theatrical style dance performance piece on stage. Which was great to watch and see her do as obviously having studied performance art it made perfect sense for her to show off this work! So overall we have a great chat so please I hope this is an enjoyable listen for you all! Do let me know what you think and share it spread the word about this podcast would be much appreciated too of course! It all helps. Thanks again. Roseanna

Here’s my latest updated again first though solo done on zoom recorded podcast from last month in August from on the 26.8.2020 with the lovely Iris Dina Gunnarsdottir talking about life after art school at Colchester Institute what get thoughts were on it her how it helped her with her art practice, Her degree show piece how she felt about it was it. We then go to talk about the present day her job as an Firstsite Art Gallery Assistant working multiple jobs including teaching clay workshops to school groups working on the Art Makers Table in the holidays assisting helping the children alongside their parents too to make the activities whilst at Firstsite. Also working at The Refugee Action Colchester as a Volunteer Team Member. Her love of working with clay, making pottery at the Colchester Makers Space. For example she showed me her lovely clay made teapot on the podcast which I used a photo of her showing it for the podcast thumbnail as it’s a really creatively proud happy photo of iris showing off of her clay teapot which is great. Also Iris kindly edited this the talented girl she is! This is much appreciated thanks taken from three podcast recordings we had to do on zoom due to technology failures and a time limit on my zoom in particular so hopefully you enjoy listening to this. Nicola and Evie: Working as Teaching Assistants: Experience Challenges with Children Highs & Lows! Originally from back in May the 2nd of May to be exact earlier this year online using the app zoom as I discussed during lockdown due to the Corona Virus unfortunately to be able to still do my podcasts and be able to keep in touch with my friends that was vitally important for me. Sorry this is so late as we are now in August on the 21.8.2020 A Friday evening as I’ve added more information for context. So in this podcast having the wonderful lovely opportunity to speak to two of my wonderful best friends Nicola and Evie two great amazing girls as my guests which of course was so fun making my job as the interviewer so much easier as I know them really well already so it’s not awkward at all. In this podcast we get to hear two different perspectives from on what it’s like to be a teaching assistant working in mainstream school from Nicola and a special school from Evie which is really interesting two different based schools. Sorry I’m rambling on about it lol classic me but just want to set the narrative of what this podcast is about for you listeners. Finally hopefully you all enjoy listening to this podcast episode like and share it on here Anchor and Spotify and with your friends spreading the word about this podcast would be much appreciated thanks again Roseanna.

Sam Eagle: Musician New Music out Friday Today! Gigs Touring Band/Solo Latitude Festival 2018

Sam Eagle: Musician New Music out Friday Today! Gigs Touring Band/Solo Latitude Festival 2018

Thought I would just say to anyone listening to this this recording has been slightly edited using my voice notes app I love so much on my phone as I managed to share it on to the voice notes app. This is a bit crazy for me as I don’t try to edit my podcasts normally as I firstly I can’t really edit I haven’t learnt really to be honest I’m a bit lazy and I just like the raw authenticity of them just left as they are naturally. But this was jus a tiny section I had deleted. Anyway now back onto my podcast from Tuesday the 4th of August I had Sam Eagle who is a musician/singer signed to Cooking Vinyl Records. We talked about what was early on that inspired him to want to make music which he answered said about the film the School Of Rock with the actor Jack Black in being an early inspiration for him! On Being what kind of style is his music! His upcoming New music release this Friday on the day in fact this will come out I thought as it would work well for helping to promote his music for him with this podcast which must be such a exciting thing for him as hopefully lots of people will check out out and now on this day I’m writing this background information for the context of the podcast he had mercy out too consisting of T-Shirts with a cool bright collaged design on them spoiler alert! We also talk a lot about gigs touring for him? What his favourite experiences gigging and touring have been for him and whe he was with his band he was in with The Lemon Lizards! He told me about about going to Texas in America to play at this festival called South by Southwest which was a great experience for him and his band he was with he said. But in terms of making music he does it solo he told me! Including talking about one big festival he played at which was Latitude Festival excitingly for him hey which he performed at in 2018 on the BBC Introducing Stage selected by BBC Introducing Suffolk’s. I also mentioned some of my favourite gig festival experiences including actually at Latitude Festival in particular and going to Rize Festival in Chelmsford Essex in 2018 which was meant to replace unfortunately V Festival but it was actually just one year as Rize Festival didn’t come back last year in 2019 and obviously not this year due to COVID-19 so maybe next year it will return. We talk about him when doting lockdown starting streaming his music and being able to chat to viewers on Facebook then recently moving over to Twitch which is gaming streaming app. I’ve rambled on so much so I’m going to end on this asking Sam what’s one music creative in his case material he couldn’t live without and why did spoiler alert lol he said singing being able to sing!. So I hope you enjoy everyone don’t forget most importantly if you do fancy sharing it on social media to your friends spreading the word about this podcast which would help me out would be much appreciated thanks a lot and check out most excitingly for Sam himself his new music and merchandise being released out now today as I’m finished writing this information for the podcast Friday the 7th of August 2020! Lastly thanks so much to Sam for wanting to be involved as guest when I asked him on my podcast much appreciated. Roseanna.

Ross Connell: Rubber Jaw Touring Gigging Latitude Festival 2019 3D Printer Making University life!

Ross Connell: Rubber Jaw Touring Gigging Latitude Festival 2019 3D Printer Making University life!

Hey everyone listening so here’s my audio zoom recorded podcast from originally last month in July on the 23.7.2020 it’s now the 7.8.2020 with one of my best friends Ross Connell first time solo chatting to him and obviously if COVID unfortunately hadn’t come about I would of iced to have gone the podcast on person as I find it more special being face to face with the podcast guest I’m with at times to build a better connected conversation but anyway we have to make the most of the internet and this great app zoom. So Ross who I met originally on the Foundation Fine Art Course at Colchester Institute back in 2014 we both were on through our mutual met friend also on the foundation course the wonderful Nicola Rushen who I met first then got introduced to Ross and other friends Nicola had met who became later on one of my best friends and Ross and herself became a couple which was so lovely to see that relationship blossom through becoming close friends originally to being girlfriend and boyfriend whilst still during on the Foundation Course and both of them are amazing I feel very lucky to have in my life! So that’s the story of how I met Ross let’s talk about what he actually does being a fellow creative like me also but in a different creative form to me which is in music! So he is absolute rockstar legend lol as I call him in a band I absolutely love it’s in fact one of my bands some of the songs I’ve grown to absolutely adore called Rubber Jaw who sings and plays the guitar co writes a he music with fellow band member called Michael Hemmings who is friend from school and so they’ve known each other other for long time now. We talk about some of his favourite gigs he had experienced being in Rubber Jaw including a big festival for Rubber Jaw and a personal highlight for Ross he told me was Latitude Festival last year in July 2019 getting to be selected for the BBC Introducing stage. Personally I wished I had seen them play live at latitude maybe another time they will get that opportunity again fingers crossed that would be so exciting as I love to see them play live when I can when they play in Colchester Essex as fan of their music it’s just so wonderful with friends to sing along and dance getting lost in their music in the moment! Annoyingly I forget to ask him what his favourite Rubber Jaw song is so that could be for the next podcast with Michael too but I said what mine was I have more than one really to be honest it’s hard to nail down so I’m going for Spectacle and Feeling Funny two absolute banner tunes by them but then if I had to put one first before the other Spectacle would be first then Feeling Funny! Lol look at me a massive fan alert but it’s true I am and I’m not ashamed to say it! So hopefully in the future at some point I said to Ross afterwards we can do another podcast interview with both of them together talking about both of their experiences together from not just Ross’s perspective this time Michael’s too which would be great. Much appreciated thanks again to Ross for being on my podcast again solo this time though this was one of my favourites as I was with a close friend chatting so it felt like such an easy podcast chat to do and due Covid-19 I hadn’t spoken much to Ross so we had a more in-depth catch up even before I started recording. Of course hopefully I would love to see you in person at some point again obviously within distance with the squad as I miss Ross and our friendship squad! Ross is such a great legendary funny talented genuine guy who is a great friend of mine. I feel very lucky to have him in my life! Ross is always bringing the lols banter making me laugh I love it and love being in your company. Lastly please if you fancy spread the word on this podcast by sharing this podcast around with your friends so they can listen to it also would be great if you enjoy it yourself listening to it would be much appreciated. Thanks so much again classic me I’ve rambled on lol Roseanna.

Jess Parry: Update Zoom Chat Meeting Finally Podcast! On Degree Show Cancellation Painting & Red!

Jess Parry: Update Zoom Online Chat Meeting has Finally Podcast! On Degree Show Cancellation Painting & Red! So back in May as it’s now July classic me Roseanna uploading a previously done podcast months later or years later even hope you don’t mind anyone listening to this. We did of course myself and Jess did another podcast together this time being able to chat using zoom so we could see each other finally and have a conversation which was more special than previous audio recordings she has just send me. Zoom being a online chat meeting app which has been great to use to catch up with friends with and of course using it to podcast with to keep that going its been great! Personally I hadn’t heard of it before this period of time where have had to be in lockdown since mid to late March due to the corona virus unfortunately a terrible circumstance. Hope you enjoy this one if you do please share online and tell the your friends to spread the word on this podcast and give it a listen much appreciated again it’s inconsistent lol upload I’m just much preferring bring in the process of the recorded podcast conversations speaking my guests to actually then when it comes to sharing the podcast I just end up just not really doing it. But please stay with me on this podcast journey! Hope you don’t mind everyone!

LISA TEMPLE COX: RECORDED/FILMED PODCAST INTERVIEW AT THE UNFAMILIARS ‘ON FREAKS’ THEMED EVENT.

LISA TEMPLE COX: RECORDED/FILMED PODCAST INTERVIEW AT THE UNFAMILIARS ‘ON FREAKS’ THEMED EVENT.

Sorry got the long delay for this podcast audio recording version. We are now in March on the 20.3.2020 how time flies and who would of thought we be in such a mad crazy situation with the corona virus putting the world to a stand still basically it’s so weird. I hate it I’m sure you all do too but hopefully this podcast can help raise all your spirits a bit! Bringing some creative fun art chat your ears! With the wonderful interesting artist Essex based LISA TEMPLE COX at the latest wonderfully cool and fun excitingly UNFAMILIARS event ON FREAKS Themed at the great venue I Colchester Arts Centre on the Wednesday evening the 15th of January 2020 earlier this year which was exciting to have something exciting to happen in January as it’s always a bit of a dull month I find to be honest. So with this podcast my second live podcast with a audience it was so different of course I felt a lot more professional than ever on a stage we were with microphones two this time as the previous live with a audience Unfamiliars podcast I did which was the first ever one I did inside my beautiful red den sculptural installation I had one to share with my guest Elinor Clare Rowlands last year in March 2019. ladies and gentlemen here you can hear me interview and chat ask her questions about her own artwork practice, life background her story basically including her having a studio at Cuckoo Farm in Colchester Essex. We also connect together on with assemblage which like Joseph Cornell does and kurt Schwitters both artists we like. I mention my love of Sculptural Installation art which you can interact and that you can experience yourself inspired by Cornelia Parker and Phyllida Barlow to string female sculptural installation artists I love! Anyway it’s a great chat not edited as usual not changed up honest and raw! Please I hope you all can enjoy I must say thanks again so much to the wonderful Gemma Abbott who organises the Unfamiliars events and let me beinvolved again I love them since the last one was so special previously doing in my den the podcast to this one here’s to many more in the future and who made the interview for me happen contacted lisa and since meeting her on the night she was lovely much appreciated for being up for the podcast being my guest! Bless her she was a bit nervous I think but I was too a bit just beforehand but we smashed it it together once we started rolling! Finally sorry I’ve rambled on classic me Roseanna anyway! Listen on here share it with the friends and subscribe on my YouTube channel if you fancy as the more live recorded be filmed with a audience podcasts I do I want to put them on my YouTube channel for people to watch also as other option not just as a traditional audio podcast go listen too!

My First live recorded/ filmed Unfamiliars On Wonder’ art event with my guest Elinor Rowlands 2019!

My First live recorded/ filmed Unfamiliars On Wonder’ art event with my guest Elinor Rowlands 2019!

My First live recorded/ filmed Unfamiliars On Wonder’ art event with my guest Elinor Rowlands 2019! Taken place at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester Essex inside my beautiful red den installation as part of the exhibition on then at the time in March earlier this year Lost In Wonderland an female artist exhibition curated by the wonderful Gemma Abbott who works in the Minories shop! Doing my first live podcast was exciting a bit nerve racking too as I wasn’t used too having a audience and I filmed it so at times I didn’t know where to look so it was a a bit messy not at all professional filming it on my phone but I know it will be better the next time! Also having just one microphone to share with my guest I want two next time! My guest Elinor was amazing she loved my den was a massive fan she found it like a sanctuary safe zone which is definitely what it is a place to chill feel happy in and chat to friends be positive in which was amazing as we were inside it together chatting. We of course talked about her art process I met her through Gemma as she also had her artwork exhibited in the lost in wonderland show a sound Video installation piece and had invited her to the Unfamiliars art event too which s n the 22.3.19. Elenor and I connected also as we both have ADHD and I remember speaking to her about it. This is the audio of my recorded video I filmed myself on my phone. She performed herself some poetry which was great that night. Overall she has become a lovely friend of mine though this opportunity and event thanks again Gemma Abbott! Enjoy ladies and gentlemen this much appreciated thanks again share it with friends if you can and fancy it why not if you want too spread the word about this podcast of mine! Happy New year bring on 2020!

BubbleGumCoffey AKA Riah: Performance Installation Artist on YouTube Jazzy Colourful vibes!

BubbleGumCoffey AKA Riah: Performance Installation Artist on YouTube Jazzy Colourful vibes! From the 6.4.19 originally Riah send me the recordings. One of my first pot of two American artist podcast guests I discovered through on instagram he power of social media hey as she featured red in her work I noticed and that caught my attention particularly as I love red of course as I started following her and then I got in touch her ad I thought she be great for my podcast and luckily she seemed really excited about the idea and was up for being involved it’s this lovely sounding fellow creative girl Riah whose art name is BubblegumCoffey! She makes lots of colourful bold, expressive sculptural installation! Which I love also and do she makes videos of herself in her created installations for her YouTube channel also hitch is really cool! This Podcast it’s not all one podcast recorded as Riah recorded all her answered questions I gave her she sent them back to me with an introduction also individually so then as I don’t edit it afterwards as I like it raw and organic it’s just as it is like that so hopefully that’s ok for you listeners! Hope you lot enjoy it as it’s a different type of podcast a different personality with Riah and perspective on life being American My favourite the question featuring why do you like red and use it of course being a red obsessed girl and she loves red too and pink she said to me when I first messaged her back about some of her work which featured red in it! Share it with your friends if you do like it spread the word about my podcast would be much appreciated thanks again everyone and thanks so much to Riah for being apart of my podcast from the other side of the world crazy we connected through instagram!

Martin Bridges: Fine Art Technician at Colchester Institute, Potter University Experience & America!

Martin Bridges: Fine Art Technician at Colchester Institute, Potter University Experience & America!

Martin Bridges: Fine Art Technician at Colchester Institute, Potter University Experience & America! This podcasts was recorded originally on the 6.3.19. Here I chat with Martin Bridges who helped and showed me art processes techniques as an art student for example silicone moulds for my artwork which were hard to make and the first one or the second one too he basically made for me and I made the third one more on my own with less help I think at Colchester Institute and I’ve kept in contact with. So from talking about his early clay pottery interest and what artists and art inspired him to then talking mentioning about Jane Frederick his wife too who is an artist painter and one of my previous fine art tutors who is so lovely and and being with her from his perspective was lovely to hear just in general was one his highlights of course he said as well as being a art student going visiting America as he went there as part of an exchange programme which we both connected on as I had previously been to New York last year for my birthday in September which was such a special exciting crazy whirlwind experience of a trip and was great to hear his experience too! Just in general a lovely chat not edited again raw and organic with Martin so hopefully you all can enjoy listening to us chat would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone and if you do why not share with your friends spread the word about my podcast!

Amy Turnbull: Artist, Manages Stitch & Bitch, Creates art and has a studio at Cuckoo Farm Studios!

Podcast with Amy Turnbull: Artist Manages Stitch & Bitch with one her close friends Megan Fowler, Creates her artwork and is a chair at Cuckoo Farm Studios as well as having a studio their at Cuckoo Farm studios. Based in Colchester. Originally recorded earlier this year on the 4.2.19. I met Amy properly for the first time on this day as I had heard of her but actually met her after getting in contact with her to do the podcast as I thought she would be interesting to chat too having been a fine art student herself previously at Colchester Institute like me and making art, trying to exhibit and to get your artwork out there we both striving hard and we have that in common if course like any artist striving hard. As well as what I feature in her title we chatted about the artists who have inspired her and her artwork on her art creative journey and then I mentioned some of mine. What her art process is. Interestingly on this day we arranged to meet up for the podcast she was just actually in fact taking down artwork she had exhibited at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester Essex which was exciting for her and they have cafe and that’s where we did the podcast so that’s why it’s noisy in the background I think to be honest I tend not to go into busy noisy places to do the podcast now as you can’t hear yourselves that well and of course for the listeners it’s hard but anyway hope it’s ok this time! I liked her honest raw chat conversation approach which is exactly fitting fit my not edited, raw original and honest style of podcast which this is! So if you fancy giving this one a listen enjoy and finally thanks again Amy for being involved with my podcast saying yes for the chat much appreciated.

Iris and Charlotte: My first ever podcast guests! An Experimental Arty Recorded Podcast Chat!

Iris and Charlotte: My first ever podcast guests! An Experimental Arty Recorded Podcast Chat!

Originally recorded on my dictaphone then I played back with my phone on so it was recording what was said onto my phone done on the 2.10.18 last year which was most importantly, interestingly and excitingly my first podcast interview chat kind of it was really a experiment with two lovely friends of mine I had gotten to know whilst I was studying myself at Colchester Institute and stayed in touch with after I left they were Iris and Charlotte who were in their final Third year at the time and I had gone back to visit. They were essentially my guinea pigs lucky them hey! Who I’m so appreciative off! Thanks so much again girls helping me try out this experimental idea I had in my head to try out! So yeah if you wanna give this one a listen go for it would be much appreciated and share it with your mates I’m so proud of this podcast I created and love it so much so all the positive vibes from me Roseanna Chew the red obsessed Arty gal! I’ve been very lucky with getting a lot of my fellow arty friends on and newly met creatives and I can’t wait for what next year 2020 brings and beyond it’s exciting times ladies and gentlemen!

Krista Siân Lynch: SuperGlu, Music, Gigs, fun, Uni and Photography, Brighton, Love!

Krista Siân Lynch: SuperGlu, Music, Gigs, fun, Uni and Photography, Brighton, Love!

From the 20.6.19 earlier this year in the summertime originally she sent this recording to me . First of all the cover photo I used I’ve got to say for this podcast that krista did for me of her was taken by the photographer Marieke Macklon taken at Wild Paths Festival, Norwich 2019 this year when she played their alongside her band she is in called Superglu! In this podcast which she speaks about how Superglue came about and how she got to be apart of it! Her interest in music what inspired her and with photography also! Her time living in Brighton! Her studying at university but not in music which surprised me as I thought she might off! Including lol bless him her dog in the podcast barking called Alfie! Overall It was such great opportunity to get a girl in music on my podcast as a creative girl myself but in another form of art sculpture we need to be boosting other girls helping each other honestly #girlpower all the way I believe! Amazingly I have now three girls in music that have recorded for me podcasts which is great! So thanks so much to krista you’re a talented gal much appreciated and I hope you love this everybody and if so give it a share like if you can thanks! It’s raw honest not edited again so exactly what krista sent me which I like and I think it’s important to keep it like that like that as I don’t want to mess around with it!

Amy Williams: Programme Organiser, Learning and Education at Firstsite! Podcast in three Parts.

With the lovely Amy Williams chatting together in this podcast originally recorded from on the 6.11.19 of three parts as we had to pause the first time as we had little interruption and then I decided I wanted to get her talking more about her art and the art she likes who works as the Programme Organiser in Learning and Education at Firstsite Art Gallery in Colchester what that job role entails. Also about her experience studying her Fine Art Degree at Norwich University of The Arts also Art she particularly likes and does and including a particular artist she loved Olafur Elisson which living in Norwich traveling back and fourth to Colchester for work how she finds it, how she got to work there, her previous jobs if had them which she had including working in the lovely art shop in Norwich which I’m saying is lovely as I’ve been personally inside and visited when visiting Norwich previously when my brother was studying there called Jerrold’s Art and Stationary Shop. So thanks Amy for being apart of my podcast taking the time to have chat with me much appreciated glad you could be on it and finally if you enjoy this lovely chatting conversational podcast episode not edited again as all of my podcast episodes are making them more so I think of course organically, raw and honest give it it listen, share it with your friends would be much appreciated thanks Roseanna!

“On Autism” Six Poems read out aloud by Neurofantastic Poet CJ The Authoress

“On Autism” Six Poems read out aloud by Neurofantastic Poet CJ The Authoress

So this is the second podcast from September the 17.9.19 originally as the first one was great we decided to do arrange to do a second one and I think we do a third Podcast with the theme being based on mental Health as she suggested so she have written some more poems for that one with the wonderful Neurofantastic poet Christina King who goes by CJ as she likes to be called The Authoress in 6 parts as she tells 6 of her autistic poems based around her experience having got autism and ADHD as a mother with a son too with autism and we talk about them again not edited just very original, honest and raw. Also I got Andy Derbyshire the filmmaker to record the audio for us again which was great and we got lucky as we were able to record in Firstsite Art Gallery in Colchester in fact using one there meeting rooms. My favourite poem out of the six she had written and read out was called The Lost Girls which just has so much passionate, girl female, power, love to it so expressively beautiful in that sense as I felt most connected with it being girl myself I felt the connection to all the other girls who haven’t been diagnosed yet or were later on in life which is what happened to Christina so this poem is based on her experiencing that which from what she was telling me. Which you all will hear in this podcast. Overall it was really great again to listen to more of her poetry she is such creatively talented woman and I feel I have connected with her really well as we both have autism and both love being creative and we both have the Unfamailers art event connection in common which the fellow wonderful creative Gemma Abbott organises. Please I hope you enjoy guys more of Christina’s poetry again here with much love and appreciation. Thanks again.

Inside My R.E.D AKA Roseanna’s Everlasting Den Arty Friends Fun Chatty Group Critique!

Inside My R.E.D AKA Roseanna’s Everlasting Den Arty Friends Fun Chatty Group Critique!

Back March this year on the Saturday the 16th of March 2019 showing off my beautiful red den sculptural installation I had exhibited at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester as part of a exhibition called Lost In Wonderland curated by the wonderfully talented Gemma Abbott who works in the Minories Gift Shop who has asked if I wanted my den in as she thought it would fit the theme perfectly and I said yes of course as I had really wanted my den exhibited again particularly in day the Minories in that main beautiful gallery room. So showing it off to was amazing they felt really proud of me I felt proud to show off my beautiful artwork to three of my best friends Nicola, Ross and Tim who I originally met on the Foundation Art Course at Colchester Institute back in 2014 alongside to my surprise which I didn’t know they were coming along too which made it even more fun and special two of Tims friends one I had met last year Jack who went to secondary School with Tim who is this amazingly talented portrait painter like my mum whose painting of Tim was also excited at the National Portrait Gallery last year in June amazingly for the first time funnily enough on the Private View evening that’s when I met him as I was one of my mums guests with Tim there too of course as one of his guests and it was such a fun, special exciting evening. Also Aidan one of Tims university met friends back when they were studying in London who I met for the first time on the Saturday who was lovely originally from Manchester. So of course whilst we were experiencing being inside my den together I wanted to do a little arty, chatty, loose and fun podcast critique which was made even more particularly interesting as Aidan and Jack hadn’t seen any of not artwork before up close so it was great to hear raw immediate fresh thoughts on how they were feeling thinking about being inside my den which I thought I led the the chat it was lighthearted and fun but honest of course as always considering the Friday night beforehand Ross had a gig as he plays in a band Rubber Jaw that we all went too watch to supper him so we were a bit tired still particularly him and Tim who helped Rubber Jaw our playing also on the night. So hopefully next time my den is exhibited somewhere or in Colchester most likely again and we inside it together chatting about what we think about it experiencing inside of I hope it could be stronger we could speak more in-depth maybe I don’t know? But moving on as I’m rambling classic me hopefully you guys and girls still enjoy listening to this of us chatting together inside my den and if you wanna share it tell your friends about it would be much appreciated thanks again as I love making this podcast and sharing them.

On The Road Chatting with Nicola: Working with The Mad Apple Collective Theatre Company!

So we myself and the wonderful Nicola Rushen one of my amazing best friends decided to record a loose raw honest not edited chatty catch up podcast back in May on the 23.5.19 before the summer started whilst out on a cinema date she was driving out of Colchester Essex as we had been to see a film at Firstsite Art Gallery as it screens films in their theatre room also it was Wild Rose we saw my choice and I thought Nicola would enjoy it too and she did. Talking about any life updates which there were in particular as she had a children’s play coming up in the summer she was involved with as she was part of assisting directing band was in actually too which she hadn’t been before with The Mad Apple Collective a Performance Art Theatre Company based in Chelmsford Essex which was really exciting and special for her. So I was super excited to support her and go see it of course. The play was called The Boy who Build a Time Machine. It was on in July from the Saturday the 13th in the day time to the Sunday the 14th and I went on the Saturday morning for the 11 o’clock showing and it was so good for a children’s play I was really proud of her the music Nicola’s character performances. It was made even better as Ross turned up to see that performance supporting Nicola her boyfriend as we such a close friendship group Ross is one of my best friends too as we got to have a catch up chat together before the play started and then afterwards briefly we got to see Nicola to say hi and well done. Sorry guys as always I’m rambling on and will try to post more fresher podcasts I’ve just got so many great podcasts from earlier this year still to share with you all so hope you don’t you mind too much. Anyway hopefully you guys and girls enjoy listening to us and if you wanna share it tell your friends about it would be much appreciated thanks again as I love making this podcast and sharing them.

Laurie Taylor Straiton: Doing an MA in Curating Collections, Photography, Foundation and Firstsite.

So this podcast is from back in February earlier this year on the 16.2.19 before I started volunteering at Firstsite but I was interested and wanting to do and as you guys listen to this podcast you will hear myself and my lovely fellow creative guest Laurie Taylor Straiton mention it which is exciting at the time as I have been volunteering since April and Laurie welcomed me with lovely talk/tour about Firstsite Art Galley as she was at the time the Volunteer Coordinator and Duty Manager as now when I’m writing this 16.10.19 Laurie has left and starts her new job tomorrow. Sorry it’s so late I’m so bad at uploading my podcasts guys and gals! We talk also in this podcast about her Foundation Diploma experience in Art and Design where her love of photography blossomed in her own words which still loves now which we both have in common as I love photography too as we speak about film photography Martin Parr a photographer whose photos I really like and one also Laurie likes Francesca Woodman. Overall and MA in Curating Collections. Overall I’m really happy I got to speak to Laurie as she was great chatting to me. Speaking honestly and openly I do think though I couldn’t off listened more at times giving Laurie more of a chance to talk so if I was to do another second podcast with Laurie I would definitely try to improve learn from this one to progress onwards and upwards! But I hope you all enjoy listening to it and share and like it around would be greatly appreciated thanks so much Guys and Gals and thanks so much again particularly to Laurie for wanting to be apart of my podcast.

Meeting Lauren AKA (CityPixie) on Instagram for the first time!

On this recorded Podcast episode from the 11.4.19 again like the one with Emma Theedom we recorded it in my local costa coffee shop so it’s a bit noisy in the background but I hope you guys can still us and enjoy this podcast. I’m with the lovely a fellow arty gal Lauren JohnstonWood AKA (CityPixie) on Instagram and this for this podcast is when we meet for the first time having been chatting on instagram where we started becoming friends since 2017 I think and a friend of a friend of both of ours new her also. We chat about how we connected through instagram as I mentioned above her art early inspirations which inspire her artwork she creates doing studying at uni why she left after two years as she honestly explains she didn’t enjoy it. Emma Theedom: Artist, Actress and Singer: Chatting being at Art School University life, and ART4U!

Emma Theedom: Artist, Actress and Singer: Chatting being at Art School University life, and ART4U!

This podcast was originally recorded on the 6.12.18 last year in December in a Costa Coffee Shop locally to me so its not completely quiet we have noise in the background but hope you guys can still hear this podcast ok! With the lovely fellow arty gal Emma Theedom like myself who I studied a BA Hons Fine Art Course with and graduated last year at Colchester Institute which is where we met when I joined her and the rest of the group which were second years when I was a third year as I was going part time so instead of graduating after three years I stayed on a fourth year to get more support and time with my Course particularly with my dissertation as I didn’t want to rush it. Anyway enough about me hey back to Emma an artist who is artist featuring chosen mediums she enjoys using like painting, and photoshop which we chat about, actress and singer who was lovely to chat too we chat about her early art inspirations what and who got her into art which was interesting to hear, her Art School University experience, Art4u a really cool Essex art collective which I had my work in in their first pop up art exhibition last year in April which was great fun which Emma is part of alongside Joe Daniels and Thomas Dilloway who both I studied with previously for three years before studying alongside Emma. Again like all my guests Emma speaks honestly answering my questions and with it being not edited by me it is very organic and raw which I love and I hope you can enjoy would be greatly appreciated. Also if you can share it around with your friends thanks guys and of course thanks so much to Emma for wanting to be apart of my podcast.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? YAK ART GROUP DISCUSSION! The FINAL EDITED PODCAST!

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? YAK ART GROUP DISCUSSION! The FINAL EDITED PODCAST!

Here’s our WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? YAK ART GROUP DISCUSSION! The FINAL EDITED PODCAST! Originally recorded on the 26.9.19 discussing our statements which are on our designed posters we have exhibited the ideas behind them what they are representing to us individually this was the first podcast we did together as YAK the group so I hope you guys can give it a listen check it out that would be much appreciated considering that this was our first YAK podcast we did together as group as a suggested idea I thought off since I have got a art podcast currently so I thought it be a fun idea to try out and luckily it got a successful agreed turn out! Which I hope we are able to improve as this one couldn’t been better looking back insight of course and hopefully we be able to try out another one in the future potentially to learn from this first podcast we’ve made creatively as I love podcasting as format personally since starting making my own art based podcast which had been really interesting getting creative friends new creatives I’ve met on to talk about their creative stories as love to tell a story personally with my own sculptural 3D work and this is way of helping to share another creatives story. Also side note all the information below I’ve copied from the Firstsite Colchester Art Gallery website telling you all about YAK to help give you a lot more context in detail and this Exhibition of ours. Starting off with the subjects of our statements which our posters are themed around. Being Climate change, politics, rights, capitalism and health – these are the pressing issues facing young people today, according to Young Art Kommunity (YAK), Firstsite’s young people peer-led group which organises events and activities within the gallery and the wider community.
We as YAK have teamed up with ‘flyingleaps’, a project that invites artists to produce work in response to contemporary events and ideas, to produce the new exhibition What’s the problem?. Comprising a series of posters, each work responds to members’ personal concerns, bringing themes and ideas into stark focus with high impact designs incorporating text, image and colour.
Thanks The artwork has been produced through a series of workshops with flyingleaps artists Mark Titchner, Heath Kane and Dr. D, and founder Adrian Burnham, using Firstsite’s Year of Digital theme as inspiration.
Y.A.K meet weekly during term time, and their sessions are open to everyone ages 15 – 25.

Asha and Roseanna’s Sunday Throwback Sesh!

Asha and Roseanna’s Sunday Throwback Sesh!

From this Sunday afternoon the 6.10.19. Catching up for a podcast chat with my oldest childhood best friend Asha Mistry talking about how our friendship started what was it that both drew us to each other to become such close friends from growing up in Braintree Essex a small town meeting as toddlers with our mums at a mums and toddlers group before primary school together, her university experience studying law art creativity of course still even though Asha didn’t practice art but still being that this is an art based podcast I couldn’t help bringing it up as Asha was really creative at primary school making jewellery like with daisies to make daisy chains and drawing which I remember enjoying doing together and lucky for me and herself she still enjoys it as a hobby including her starting a ASMR YouTube channel surprisingly for me personally and what artists and artists work she likes which was interesting to hear about! It was so lovely generally I thought which I really enjoyed. Asha spoke so well answering my questions very articulately the fact we both still so close but we don’t see each other a lot to be fair compared to my other friends as we are busy people even though we live in the same town so so it is special when we do. Again this podcast was not edited to make it as organically raw as possible original to me. So if you wanna give it a listen check it out it be greatly appreciated guys and then if you can share it afterwards to with all your friends! Lastly thanks again so much to Asha for being interested to want to be apart of my podcast much appreciated I have a lot of love for you my girl.

Jane Frederick Being an Artist/Educator! Chatting Painting, Art Education, Early Art Inspirations!

Originally recorded on the 12th of March 2019 At the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester Essex with Jane Frederick an artist who also previously was one of my first Fine Art Tutors I had in my first year as a student studying Fine Art of my Fine Art Degree Course At Colchester Institute. We chat about how she got inspired be a artist specialising in painting her own Art School experience, how she became a Fine Art Tutor and what that was like. It was a really lovely conversation chat with Jane as we have become friends since she became my tutor originally. Genuinely I love her honesty and passion for creativity like myself and we both can appreciate each other’s artwork which is different but that what makes it interesting as it would be boring if we did the same work and thoughts which is great. So overall I was pleased with it a raw honest not edited podcast chat as usual from me. Hopefully guys and gals you enjoy listening to it too and if you do would be great if you can share it around would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

As always whenever I’m accompanied by Nicola it’s always wonderful she is an amazing girl love her a lot we had such a fun day together being one of my best friends she a true gem. Here we speak chatting in a raw, honest conversation reviewing The Antony Gormley Exhibition and unedited as always. To be fair it’s mostly part not too critical review. Hope you like guys and gals and of do spread the word about it share with your friends would be much appreciated thanks again. We did get slightly interrupted annoyingly as we got told by a man passing he obviously didn’t realise we were recording I don’t think saying your slightly in the way there where were sat which I thought where we were was ok but oh well and we had to move another corner spot outside the gallery to continue reviewing but I hopefully it just makes it more organic in way when listening to it and I do apologise and say bare with us guys on the recording.

From the 25.1.19 back in January. Here is my wonderful creatively talented artist cousin Carolina Chew a strong female influence in my life I admire so much I feel so lucky to have her in my life I’m so proud of her I have a lot of love for. Talking about her art practice, background working with disadvantaged children, to her art studies moving to London where she lived for 15 years to do it from a Foundation Art Course where she got try out various forms of art painting photography 3D Design to a Degree Course in Jewellery Design to then finally doing her masters in Curating Contemporary Design and her art inspirations where she mentions her mum and dad as two main ones as they both musicians answering my podcast questions unfortunately we couldn’t do it in conversation together as she lives now back in Rio De Janeiro Brazil maybe one day we get to do it together which would be great like I did with her dad my uncle David. Anyway so I asked her to record her answers including painting and jewellery making also selling jewellery in Covent Garden originally before making her own and making a business from her own work which what she currently does with a little studio space where she lives. Here Carolina speaks openly and honestly which is what I love of course it’s raw and unedited as it always is with my podcasts so I hope you enjoy listening to her guys and gals would be much appreciated and to share it around thanks again.
