Housing, the cost of living and immigration are the issues that are coming to the fore as polling day nears on June 7th. Emmett Corcoran has been looking at how the campaign has been going thus far locally and in the European elections.
ROSCOMMON PEOPLE EMIGRATE TO THE ENGLISH MIDLANDS IN THE 19TH CENTURY
A number of people from Roscommon emigrated to the Derby area of England in the 1840's and our historian Gerry Shannon has been looking at the people who had to flee this area in search of a better life.
NEW SERVICE FOR ALZHEIMERS CARERS IN ROSCOMMON
A new service for people who are caring for dementia sufferers will be started this week. Michelle Shiel of Roscommon Alzheimer's Association has been giving the details to the Good Morning Roscommon programme.
GOVERNMENT MUST DO BETTER TO ADDRESS POVERTY ISSUES

HUGE WEEK FOR ROSCOMMON GAA TEAMS

NEW WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE BIKE IS LAUNCHED IN ROSCOMMON
A bike which can take a wheelchair on the front was launched on Monday at The Square in Roscommon Town. It's an initiative from the Lions Club, Access for All and the Roscommon Sports Partnership. One of the prime movers behind the idea was local Councillor Kathleen Shanagher and she spoke to Seamus Duke at the launch.
