True Health Comes from A Fit Mind on Anchor

True Health Comes from A Fit Mind on Anchor

Physical health is directly impacted by the health of one's mind. The two in fact are inextricably entwined.  A bit of Soul 101: The mind is one of three elements of the soul: the mind, the will and the emotions. The mind and the brain are two separate things; the brain is an organ, the mind a complex system created by God and encased and infused into every person. It has no ability to be repaired surgically. Our souls are ethereal, lacking material substance yet permeate our bodies. At times the soul is fragile and tormented, at times it is strong but can also be passive. The soul can possess great joy and at other times can be inconsolable. The soul is the launch pad for creativity. The soul is a precious and beautiful component of our humanity and makes us unique and individual.

The health and wholeness of the soul is the key to true health. I have studied the spiritual root cause of disease for over 20 years and the most true yet least taught truth in healing is that almost every single disease has a spiritual root cause.   Most disease starts first in The Mind. Your mind is a portal for great things or for destructive things. Fear is the portal and gateway through which every unrighteous thought walks onto its red carpet -jealousy, anxiety, condemnation, shame, abuse, bitterness. Fear kills more people than Cancer. Fear IS a Cancer and can consume individuals and entire families like a raging fire. It is total destruction and will first hit the mind then like a pinball – ricochets, striking then damaging and altering organs, joints, and body systems. To have a healthy body, one must have a whole and healthy soul.

The Greatest Reset

The Greatest Reset

Palm Sunday is a day that we celebrate Christ's triumphal entry into the city of Jerusalem, a day where throngs lined the street, waving palm branches and shouting Hosanna! Hosanna!  Following this great day of celebration, 5 short days later, Jesus was mercilessly beaten beyond recognition, publicly crucified, and hung naked from a tree.

Jesus was not the Rabbinical priest's idea of the Messiah, one who would return to rescue them from the cruel Roman rulers that oppressed the Jewish people. They were looking for a warrior, a "King David", that was bold, and powerful that could subdue the existing government and return the Jewish people back to power.  Jesus of Nazareth, in their mind, could never be the true Messiah but as we know the priests and leaders made a profound miscalculation. He most certainly did return on a rescue mission, resulting in the greatest reset in human history. This reset was an assignment of grace and mercy requiring as ransom His sinless blood and body.

In today's broadcast, in addition to a reading of Jesus the Unlikely King, I recount the story of a "divine sign" that points to what is coming soon.  Thank you for listening to my Sacred Ramblings -

Keys to Freedom from Fear

Keys to Freedom from Fear

There are limitless reasons to understand and remain in faith. One of these is that enforcing a mindset of faith releases creativity and possibility as we walk through a challenging situation or season.  Fear shuts down all creativity. Fear shackles possibility.

We know that the antidote to Fear is Faith but how do you make the leap over the chasm of anxiety, worry, even trauma and terror? This episode provides specific steps to conquering fear and how to remain locked into a perspective of faith despite circumstances.

A Personality of Faith

A Personality of Faith

Thank you for joining me today for my podcast for Sacred Ramblings. My name is Tracy Gatewood and I am a marketplace writer, and teacher and businesswoman. My posts can be found online at sacredramblings.com. These podcasts are the audio versions of my posts.

Today, once again, I will be discussing the topic of FAITH. My post is entitled A Personality of Faith.  We should all want faith to become our default setting – faith in the power of God, His goodness and the knowledge that His ways are ever- wise and purposeful.

Back in 2015, I wrote and published a book entitled Doorways of Grace: My Uncommon Journey to Healing, Wholeness and Meeting Jesus. The purpose of writing a book was twofold: to document my own personal salvation experience and to provide a blueprint for people experiencing a traumatic event so they could walk out their own healing process. What Holy Spirit revealed to me was and still is very much worth repeating.

I could get into the weeds – describing several years of intense pain - however I made it out and am fully restored. The important take-away is that I have been rebuilt and redesigned brick by brick. This admittedly painful take down and rebuilding process allows for me the ability to communicate through the lens of personal understanding on topics related to the soul.

Although I write and teach, professionally I work in commercial real estate. In an interesting way, our minds are real estate with an infinite amount of acreage to develop.  Our mind's real estate should be peaceful yet productive, focused on building and developing for kingdom purposes, free from all influences of negativity especially fear/ anxiety/ condemnation – however not free from the kind of condemnation where a bad building needs to be condemned then demolished. A bad building could be a bad memory that needs to be put under the blood of Jesus and removed. Our minds are the key to health in our physical bodies. Having a strong faith provides a high degree of protection for the mind. When one continually defaults into a confident expectation of good, an assurance that God is still working towards a positive result and is an ever present Help in times of trouble – these thoughts are rewarded by peace and stability.

Thank you again for listening to my podcast. My name is Tracy Gatewood and these are my Sacred Ramblings.

The Urgency of Faith

The Urgency of Faith

A few days ago, I had moved my file cabinet into another room and when I opened the top drawer, the cabinet began to tip down toward my unsuspecting feet. I quickly righted the cabinet and closed the drawer, just in time before it fell over. As I was watching the cabinet tip – I was hoping that I would be able to get it back upright quickly so that I would not get hurt.

Before moving the cabinet, I had unbolted a swatch of cloth that was screwed into the wall which was also attached to the back of the cabinet. I was unaware how much I needed the tiny swatch of cloth and bolt, until it was removed. This is the same as with hope and faith.

A good working definition for Faith is – the leaning of our entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, His Wisdom and His Goodness. I was hoping that the cabinet would not fall over – Hope is a confident expectation of good in every situation. Hope and Faith are two distinctly different things.  If that bolt had been in the wall, I would have known that the cabinet would not have tipped. Jesus represents the BOLT or the anchor that we must have to realize sustained faith. We must have our faith anchored in more than mere hoping – or confidence in our own abilities, “good luck” or providence.  Consistent, sustained hope can result in faith but only if that faith has a place on which to latch that is outside of ourselves. Let’s face it – if we were enough, why would we need Jesus.

I mentioned that Faith is the leaning of the entire personality on God. Our personalities are a part of our souls – our minds / our will / our emotions. Our personalities are entwined with our emotions. When you by faith lean your entire personality on God – you are leaning your soul on God however faith is tied to the Spirit.

This broadcast is a reading of my post, The Urgency of Faith.  We are most definitely in a timeframe where we must understand who we are, what we believe, why we believe, and to Whom we belong.  Faith is a very powerful force for without it, we cannot please God, in fact it is impossible. Hebrews 11:6.   Thank you for listening to my Sacred Ramblings
