Stephanie Yu '22 on Product Management, Double-majoring in CS and PPA, and Faith at the Claremont Colleges

Stephanie Yu, Product Manager I at Disney Streaming, shares in-depth of her journey at Pomona from dabbling with different academic fields, her learning experience during the pandemic, and how she found Product Management as her career fit. As the first Double-Major graduate in Computer Science and Public Policy Analysis (PPA) with a concentration in Chemistry, Stephanie talks about juggling two work-load heavy majors while being involved in 2 student organizations. At Pomona, Stephanie co-founded First Love, the Christian Fellowship at the Claremont Colleges and was the president of hearhere, an annually published journal of Christian thought aimed to spark interfaith dialogue across the Claremont Colleges. Lindsay Ludwick ‘07 on Media Studies, Editing Movie Trailers, & Faking it Until You Make It

Lindsay Ludwick, Editor at MOCEAN, discusses her pathway into video editing and her experiences along the way. At Pomona, Lindsay majored in Media Studies, competed on the Track and Equestrian teams, and acted as a member of the Movie Selection Committee to choose what movies would be shown to students at the Rose Hills Theater. Lindsay discusses her summers during college as a dude wrangler on a ranch in Washington, her initial interest in screenwriting which transformed into a true interest in editing, and more. Cathy Corison ‘75 on Winemaking, Biology, & Walking

Cathy Corison ‘75, Winemaker and Partner at Corison Winery in St. Helena, CA, discusses her winemaking journey. During her time at Pomona, Cathy created her own major to avoid Organic Chemistry, competed as a springboard diver, and discovered her passion for winemaking. Sophomore year Cathy took a Wine Appreciation class and she’s never looked back since. Post graduation, Cathy pursued a Master’s in Enology at U.C. Davis and then proceeded to make wine for 7 years before starting her own Winery called Corison Winery. Megan Hunter ‘10 on Mathematics, the Federal Reserve, & Being a Professor

Megan Hunter ‘10 discusses her interest in mathematics at Pomona, her Masters in Statistics at Harvard and her PhD in Marketing at Stanford, and her journey of applying math to different aspects of the world. Following graduation, Megan was undecided on what she wanted to pursue, but had an interest in Statistics due to its applicability to a variety of areas. Before completing her Masters in Statistics at Harvard, she worked for the City of Claremont and tutored students for a year. Following her Masters, she worked as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve. During this time, many of her co-workers had PhDs, leading her to consider pursuing a PhD. She went on to obtain a PhD in Quantitative Marketing . Megan received a professor position at Boston College towards the end of her PhD, and she is currently an Assistant Professor at Boston College’s Carroll School of management.

But as she felt the need for a change, she made the decision to enter product management and currently works as a Senior Product Manager at Guideline.
