Catherine and Donald Wygal are the co‐hosts of the We Only Look Thin podcast. Having spent the first 18 years of their marriage on a never ending roller coaster of co‐dependent disordered eating, fad diets, secret eating, weight loss gimmicks and unsustainably restrictive diets, the couple finally got their health goals synced and sustainable in 2016 and have lost a combined 255 pounds.
The couple started the We Only Look Thin podcast in early 2018 as a way to share their experiences in overcoming co‐dependent, disordered eating. With a light hearted message of incorporating sustainable changes and taking accountability for one’s choices instead of being victims of circumstance, the pair make it clear that there is no “finish line” to weight loss. Their weekly podcast tackles sensitive topics such as secret eating, bulimia and weight regain, while also injecting a bit of comedy which is missing from the weight loss world.

My guest is Dr. Stacy from FoodTherapyMD.com. She completed her medical training and residency at UCLA Medical Center. She had a private practice in Los Angeles, but after nearly two decades, Dr. Stacy realized that she was participating in a failing medical system. Her patients were on increasing numbers of prescription drugs, but the cycle of debilitating chronic illness and death wasn’t changed in any way.
She decided to educate herself more on the body and nutrition then began to treat her patients using plant-based nutritional protocols that focused on the inflammatory basis of disease and the healing, anti-inflammatory properties of whole plant foods.
She says “Just as doctors prescribe drugs for particular illnesses, your nutritional prescription should carry the same specificity but without the side effects!”

Karmen consults with clients throughout Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington on a variety of health conditions but is most passionate about nutrition's impact autoimmunity and women's health.
