Is reaction conscious or unconscious? How have our natural responses been altered by fear?  How does living in fear effect the BIPOC community?

I'm speaking with Dr James Brown in an interesting conversation.  We talk about how systems work.  How fear, algorithms, and attention are being used in our society and the impact on our mental and physical health.  

In conversation with Dr. James Brown we go from talking about intuition to feminine energy.  How to take responsibility for our health and well-being.  

In dealing with race and health what is your relationship to your health care professional?  Whose responsibility is it to build rapport?  What is your responsibility and what is your doctors? 

In conversation with Dr. Brown about consciousness, intuition, epigenetics and genetic predisposition.  Really this conversation like most of our is broad sweeping.  We touch on sex as medicine, how your emotions impact your health and what changes are coming with the new age of Aquarius.

Are we really born into a prison for our mind? Are you a coopertop?  We talk about the war on drugs and some the assertions put forth by Graham Hancock in his TED talk called Chariots of the Gods.  Are there alternate realities?  

We get triggered emotionally even when there is no danger nearby.  We can choose the thoughts and emotions by training our minds.  We talk about self-esteem, the critic, pre-hersing our experiences and taking responsibility for our thinking.

Dr James Brown and I talk about weathering based on a new book neither of us have read called "Under the Skin" by Linda Villarosa.  How racism and stress impact our health and longevity.  

In this episode we begin by considering the 60 Minutes episode, disparate perceptions around race and the residue of racism, self-fulfilling prophecies.  We ask the question if democracy is it working for us?  History is and has been white washed and we call it critical race theory.  We also ask about the chaos being created. 

We begin by discussing an assertion set forth in A Course in Miracles that says Sickness is a Defense against the truth.  That takes us many places we touch on universal laws, how our beliefs and emotions impact our health, karmic responsibility, social engineering and the changes on the horizon.  Listen in and subscribe.

Socioeconomics of race and health.  Is the environment we find Black in more about economics or race?  Are the disparities about poverty or race?  We hear a word from Harriett Washington and some of her research answering the question of intention.  

This episode we talk about health disparities listening to an overview of health concerns from a recent documentary as well as information from Harriette Washington on why she wrote Medical Apartheid.  

We can each do something about our health.  This talks about taking an empowered approach in dealing with the medical establishment. 

We discuss the how our environment impacts our babies.  They are much more susceptible to environmental toxins and trauma and much more.  We also touch on the biological process that informs.

We explore the nature of the cells, how they come together to form who we are. Including excerpts from cellular biologist Bruce Lipton.  What messages do babies receive even prior to them becoming verbal.  

Can we connect our environment to our health?  Absolutely!  The long term implications are still being felt to this day.  Poor diet, high stress, terrible working conditions all contributing factors to ongoing health disparities.  

Looking deeper into epigenetics we begin to look at what it is and touch on a little of the research and what it has to do with health and race.  This is the 1st half of the second episode of Making the Connection why is this science important to our community and our health?  Does legacy of slavery still inform our genes.
