Welcome to the first edition of the SCMR Podcast. Every three months there will be a new episode available to inform you about the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
In this first edition there are two very special guests: The president of the SCMR, prof. Sven Plein and the program chair of the scientific program committee for the 2023 SCMR meeting, prof. Joao Cavalcante. Prof. Plein will discuss the SCMR mission, the general structure of the SCMR and strategic vision. Prof. Cavalcante will inform us how the SCMR handled effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and he gives an outlook to the 26th SCMR Annual Scientific Sessions: Changing Global Clinical Practice, from 25-28 January 2023, San Diego, California, USA.
Prof. Joao Cavalcante mentioned the Physician Pre-Conference, the chairs for that session are Albert Hsiao and Thomas Treibel.
