She Did Everything Out of Love
Losing Feda & Mu is something that I still can’t fully process. Will I get through it? Yes. Will I ever be okay with their lives being cut tragically short? Nope. But if I learned anything from Feda it’s this - 1) red lipstick makes every woman feel better and 2) life is only worth living if you do everything out of love.
This will be the last episode of The Scoop. Feda and I specifically designed the format and content of this podcast to take into account both of our experiences and points of view. It’s not the same without her voice and I can’t imagine trying to find someone else to replace her. It just doesn’t work.
I wanted to end this podcast by sharing the audio recording of an interview I did with Feda on May 29th.I had reached out to her to have her share her story as part of a course for Behavior Analysts for On Location, my media company that I founded with Ryan O’Donnell. We wanted to share the impact of COVID on the field of Behavior Analysis. We knew we had to include families and service recipients. Feda was totally game. She was adamant she wanted to shed light on the plight of parents who were trying to support their children with severe autism during the pandemic. We hadn’t seen each other in almost 3-months and I was craving her swearing, hugs and food. Feda was totally open, raw, hilarious and deeply inappropriate at times. So basically she was 100% herself. You can watch the full-length video, which also has lots of footage of Feda with Mu for FREE via On Locations course website (first link in the Show Notes).
Thank you for supporting The Scoop. Thank you for loving Feda. Thank you for supporting me. And please, please remember to do as many things in your life out of love.

Let’s Talk About Sex
We need to normalize talking about sex and sex related issues in America. This is even more important when we're talking about sex and persons with autism or intellectual disabilities. Join us for an open conversation with Dr. Shane Spiker where we chat about common misconceptions and problems associated with sex and disability, the issue of rights (yes to porn) and the law (no to beastiality) and EVERYTHING in-between. We even talk about Lube Kegs (this is a thing)...so, let's talk about sex!

And we’re going to talk about Megan Thee Stallion, too. Because she is our current hip hop fave.

The V-Word (and no, it's not THAT v-word)
It's all about the V-word today. NO, not that word. We're talking about vaccines - one of the most divisive issues in the autism community. We enlisted a special guest to join us for today's episode, Dr. Alycia Halladay. Dr. Halladay is the Chief Science Officer for the Autism Science Foundation and has done like a TON of research about autism and vaccines. But don't worry, we still mixed in some inappropriate humor and old school hip hop to balance out this intense subject!
