Rajesh Kumar Singh tells a story of folklore in Kerala
Kannur - Kerala - India
The great stories of Kerala are often retold using art forms. It is here that our legends truly come to life. Theyyam is a famous ritual art form that originated in North Kerala which brings to life the great stories of our State. It encompasses dance, mime and music. It exalts the beliefs of the ancient tribals who gave a lot of importance to the worship of heroes and the spirits of their ancestors. The ceremonious dance is accompanied by the chorus of such musical instruments as Chenda, Elathalam, Kurumkuzal and Veekkuchenda. There are over 400 separate Theyyams, each with their own music, style and choreography. The most prominent among these are Raktha Chamundi, Kari Chamundi, Muchilottu Bhagavathi, Wayanadu Kulaven, Gulikan and Pottan. Story: Escaping the Future
Many circumstances may change in the future, but one of the things I believe will stay the same is our need for escaping, feeling something more than the mere reality. Imagine if we could consume custom made capsules that would alter our conscious state to allow us to live dream-like experiences that would feel completely real and magical, although fleeting like any other substances. As simple as breathing fresh air, having an orgasmic encounter or flying in the sky. All would be possible with a scan of your DNA and technology., just as any other vending machine.

Introducing Display Only on Scopio. You don't have to sell what you upload
Our number one biggest request this past year has been the ability to control your images. It hasn't just been Scopio, every tech company has changed its systems to two limit the control of data. We have figured out a way to give you multiple options one to display only your images so that this will act more of a portfolio of your images that you do not want to distribute this could be precious works of yours or something that you're just not ready to sell we have cell as an FTE and a downloadable so is and if you would automatically meant your images on the Solana block chain and downloadable is the ability for people all over the world to use your images through Scopio's website. Most people know the reason I started this business was to distribute important stories and images. If Instagram gets deleted tomorrow there goes our history. Twitter hides our images after like 1 day! I encourage people to think in terms of crowdsourcing and sharing our images so that the world has access to them, and be open. I am curious to see what people do with display only and what price people put for NFT's which we have made easy for beginners. Scopio's center of our team's values are to build things easy for anyone to use. Have fun with this new fabulous app and share it with your friends to download the "Scopio" app.
What does it really mean to be a part of a community?
The word community has been a huge password in the NFT community and amongst people talking about a group of people rallying for one specific cause we're mission sometimes communities are virtual sometimes there in person sometimes our family sometimes their friends sometimes they are loose connections that we've never met what is it that creates an important and valuable community, and why do you need to share values?
Why we need to get over our limiting beliefs, and why we need to get over the word stock photo.
I have heard so many different artists say I am not a stock photographer I don’t want to be associated with the stock photography site, but Scopio is not that listen to why we need to get over this stigma so that we can move forward as a society, and why your images need to be shared to change every thing we see today that we don’t feel represented in. Especially with the rise of AI generated art on those horrible stock photos. CRINGE.
Have you signed up to test our new app?
Has Instagram been bringing you down lately? You’re not the only one we created a new app for thousands of artist to connect with each other and share their images and support one another you can also be hired and make money on Scopio’s platform if you’re interested in NFTs we have that too. Get your portfolio off your hard drive and upload images on Scopio - share them with the world. You would love the app futures we created that are similar to a dating app so we can learn more about you and whoever is looking to hire you can find that specific perfect match.
Learn more about what is in this game changing app and why this community is here to elevate you and your voice. Let's change things.
Sincerely,
Christina, CEO Scopio
What you get from a Scopio Subscription for downloading images, and why we hate the word "stock photo"?
Images are a part of everything we do whether we are reading an article whether we are writing an email whatever you're putting a presentation together we are making a movie it is our first point of contact. The term start photography has had such a bad rap because it has been filled with women eating salad poses and watermarks that sometimes and us up in lawsuits on Scopio we had come up with a different concept which is to take all the benefits of the agreements needed and tagging and Rights needed for others to use peoples images but we have made it community center add a crowd sourced it in a way that is totally unique. Because of this we have the most talented authentic diverse images that will move you. Sign up for a subscription easily on Scopio this episode will teach you how to do that
Sign up to download and use diverse and authentic images. Support talented photographers and artists from 190 countries who get paid when you buy a subscription. Plans starting at $29. Ditch your current boring websites, and get your team on board to this fresh source!

Yahoo news! The only book on the pandemic from the Viewpoint of Underrepresented Communities

"The Year Time Stopped" Offers Historic Images From 100 Photographers Around the World
LOS ANGELES, August 11, 2022--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scopio, a photography storytelling platform and the first female-founded NFT marketplace, is pleased to announce the publication of The Year Time Stopped: The Global Pandemic in Photos.
Published by HarperOne/HarperCollins, and curated by Scopio CEO Christina Hawatmeh and co-founder Nour Chamoun, the award-winning 200-photo compendium offers an in-depth examination of 2020 through the eyes of 100+ photographers globally. In conjunction, Scopio produced a free audiobook on YouTube and Spotify, making the stories more accessible. In it, each photographer tells the story of the photo in the book.
Beginning with the theme "Alone" and ending with "Together," the book’s striking images provide a historical record. Its photos highlight the human toll – a California airport turned parking lot for hundreds of furloughed planes; mourners in Jakarta; New York City’s empty Times Square that usually teems with thousands of tourists – and continues with other 2020 events: protests for Black Lives Matter; and Bogota, Colombia, where street vendors faced pandemic bans and fought back by attempting to burn the police station. Humanity is seen up-close: Neighbors cheer health workers in Spain, worshippers social distance in Nigeria, and Ecuadorian women dance in traditional costume.
The book concludes with a hopeful message: "During the pandemic, we were not alone. Technology allowed us to capture rich imagery and our shared experience like never before. The pandemic uncovered many truths, including deep-seated injustice. Social movements bubbled up. The world was connected like never before," said Hawatmeh.
The book has garnered critical acclaim thus far and hit the #1 release on Amazon in photojournalism and photo history. The images can be purchased as NFTs or as a moment of history on OpenSea. As part of its book tour, Christina Hawatmeh is available for speaking engagements.

THE YEAR TIME STOPPED has been selected as a Living Now Book of the Year! 🥇
This is what the judges had to say:
COVID-19 has ravaged the lives and health of millions of people for over two years. The Year Time Stopped really struck our judges though for how it documented the psychological effect it has had, especially during lockdown. The visual documentation from all over the world resonated with them- the images of loneliness, community, getting back to nature, returning to “normal” but distanced. We continue to learn about the long term effects of the virus, but we are only starting to collectively look at the ways it has changed us mentally.

Recap of book signing at Left Bank books. Learn how Scopio started with just $50,000 and the WHY?
In this episode CEO Christina Hawatmeh reads an article by Nicki‘s Central West End Guide about the year time stopped the launch at Left bank books in Saint Louis, Missouri.
In June, Left Bank Books held a book signing for St. Louis native Christina Hawatmeh, one of the few in-person author events held since the pandemic began. Coincidentally, the pandemic is precisely what Hawatmeh’s book is about. The Year Time Stopped, The Global Pandemic in Photos, features 200 photographs from around the world depicting the beauty and the turbulence of 2020.
Hawatmeh, who grew up in West County, now divides her time between New York and L.A. After earning her graduate degree at Columbia University, she was unable to find funding for her start-up idea in New York. She then applied for a St. Louis-based Arch Grant, and in 2015 was awarded $50,000 to build Scopio, a community-based image marketplace, where people around the world share their photographs and stories. “Anyone, anywhere can share images and get hired for their creative skills on Scopio in less than 3 minutes.”
To date, 15,000 photographers from 193 countries have posted 1,000,000 photographs on the site. The photographs can be purchased as “high-quality, authentic images, and as NFTs (non-fungible tokens).”
Since the launch of Scopio, Hawatmeh has been recognized as the first woman to create an NFT photography marketplace. She was also featured in Business Insider and Forbes Magazine, and finally got that N.Y. recognition she missed out on earlier, when New York Finance named her one of 2021’s “Top Entrepreneurs to Follow.”
A book wasn’t in the plans for Hawatmeh and Scopio CPO Nour Chamoun, but to their surprise their large social media presence attracted the attention of publisher Harper Collins, and so they forged ahead. They sifted through thousands of photographs to find the best that told the story of the tumultuous year. Their book offers “an unforgettable visual history that captures the world’s response to major events that defined 2020— from COVID to sweeping movements for racial and social justice.” (Here is a link to portions of the book accompanied by audio from the photographers.)...
