The Atlantic City Story is a touching tale of two people who have run away to Atlantic City. One to escape her unhappy marriage and the other running away from his life in Philadelphia in hopes of hitting it big at the casino. Synopsis:

Jane Carver is an unhappily married woman who runs away from home in a moment of crisis and goes to Atlantic City for the weekend. While there, she meets a young gambler and an unlikely bond grows between them. However, they soon realize they cannot run from their problems forever, and together they must find the strength to go on.

Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Kevin Costner) and his wife Margaret (Diane Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy. When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family.
