John Andrews is a Partner in a firm called JMW Solicitors based in London and in Manchester. They act for clients all over the UK. He is a Partner in the Corporate team. John specialises in mergers and acquisitions and drafting commercial documents. The types of clients he acts for are range from start-ups, people looking to get into this sector and right up to large Plc, with a real emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.

In this podcast he talks about the work he does with his clients and helping them to buy businesses using very little or non of their own money.

Daniel Beaumont started his career as a Chartered Accountant, then after qualifying he took over from running his family textile business in Lancashire. He then sold that company 4 years ago having ran it for 3 years post sale. 

He left the company in 2020, then bought two manufacturing businesses and he now spends his time overseeing those and as well as looking for his next acquisition and business owners who are looking to exit.

Jeremy Harbour became an entrepreneur from a very young age. He started a Telecoms company and later completed his first M & A deal on a mobile phone shop located near his own business. Learning from his first acquisition and within 18 months he acquired a further 13 different companies. 

He has done over 100 deals and advised on 200 more. In 2009 he set up The Harbour Club, which is the largest global community of      M & A professionals in the world where they help entrepreneurs understand how to do transactions in a safe way. 

His main focus currently is on capital markets and transactions, using public companies to acquire more companies.

James Sinclair is a successful entrepreneur in the UK. He started off as a kids entertainer and now owns a number of businesses all around building brands, which families love. They include a chain of day nurseries, chain of indoor play centres, outdoor attractions including Marsh Farm and Lee Valley Zoo. 

He has also just bought the world famous Rossi Ice Cream company which is an established brand, 90 years old. 

James talks about his acquisitions during his extensive entrepreneurial career.

Giles Button was trained in physics and business studies. 

He went into the field of telecoms as a systems administrator and then into marketing and managing re-sales around Europe. 

After being involved in an advertising agency and wanting to start his own business, Giles started web design agency and spent 10 years getting it to a good point and had to work at a turnaround of the business. 

For the last 10 years he has been helping other business owners and managing business turnarounds.

Della Kirkman lives in New Haven, Indiana, US she has a varied background of working in hospitality and finance. Della later decided to become a CPA Chartered Accountant and started contacting everyone she knew and letting them know she was going to be an accountant and offering her services. She found a local company to work for and was interested in buying the company, which she then bought with the partner of the firm, where they grew and re- structured the firm. 

She then sold the company. Her partner bought a Pizza Bar and they ended up buying the whole city block and it is now for sale. 

Her focus on investing and buying and selling businesses.

He first sold a business in 1999, 22 years ago and he learnt a lot about buying businesses from the interaction with the people who bought his.

He then built a group in the adult education, the credited adult education sector which he then sold to a private London based private equity firm.

He has done 26 deals in the last 18 months, so he owns 26 children’s nursery schools. He plans to do 50 more acquisitions across the course of 2021, which will make him the 3rd largest group in the UK by the end of the year.

Chris Isbell is from Orange Beach, Alabama. He grew up in an entrepreneurial family primarily his Dad, he was always either coming up with a business or getting into a new business. 

He started working in a restaurant pizza delivery with his partner and they were able to save up some money to then be able to invest.

He then came across Carlton Sheets, a Real Estate Investor and he joined his "no money down" real estate program. Chris worked his way up the real estate ladder and also started a construction company and a property management company.
