Safer Fantasy Crafting
By Sfc Saferfantasycrafting
The uninformed RPG ramblings of a poorly qualified old grog, who should have grown up by now, or at least, should have just stuck to making miniatures.

Lost Messages for Joe Richter
Some Naive messages that I was going to send to Joe Richter of the Hindsightless podcast about his recent pods on accents, back stories and OSR style play in roleplaying games, but decided not to, as they were too long and rambling. So I've collected them here as a raw Guerilla style podcast of my own. Listen at your own risk.

Echoes of Time - Callers messages
Thoughtful Call-ins on the subject of Time Travel in RPG'S from - Jason of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast - Joe of Hindsightless podcast - Spencer of Keep off the Borderlands podcast - Kevin of The Redcaps podcast - They all talk about things I had no knowledge about so I have just had to Blag my way through this. Check out this useful YouTube video that covers methods of time travel depicted in many of the movies mentioned (far better than I have done) - youtu.be/d3zTfXvYZ9s - YouTube animation video that explains the events in the Primer movie -https://youtu.be/tUzy-xPf0MI

Time Travel methods in RPG's
My Magnum Opus on time travel, if 'Magnum Opus' means a meandering, convoluted and confusing mess! Stay to the end to witness the anchor apocalypse in real time for RPG a day 2022 - day 17 - Past, Present and Future

Concepts of Time 2: multiverse and nodal universe

Calls & Concurrent initiative
Responses and thoughts on my exploration into what I'm now calling 'concurrent' initiative in DND 5e. I get distracted and go on a rant about our current government in the UK after I had become annoyed at events that had happened on the day of recording. Our UK government has now U-turned on their plans to brazenly abandon even the concept of the Rule of Law, by trying to change parliamentary rules just to allow one of their MP's to avoid a disciplinary charge. But their disdain for us ordinary people remains, loud and clear. Jump to the last half hour of the podcast for purely concurrent initiative talk. Palanolho's method of simultaneous initiative can be found here: amp.reddit.com/r/DMAcademy/comments/64m3md/simultaneous_turns_combat_system_dd_5e/

Rambling into initiative
Scraping the bottom of the barrel. Safer dusts off a previously rejected episode idea, after hearing about the 'initiative' competition over at 'The Nerd's RPG Variety Cast' Podcast. My original rambling was recorded in April 2021, as a poor person's attempt to imitate Menion's podcast style at Confessions of a Wee Tim'rous Bushi.

Senses and sensibilities: visceral Vs existential horror
A rambling and divergent response to Andy Goodman's evocative podcast about the relationship between sound and horror. anchor.fm/andy-goodman9/episodes/BONUS-Audio-Terror-pt-1---What-does-horror-sound-like-e119s4j - check out his podcast for the introduction to what promises to be a very interesting topic on the use of sound to create visceral horror.

Where's me Sci-fi, Man?
A podcast akin to a rambling, pile of Bantha muck, but where there's muck, there's brass - my apologies to Barry, Spencer and TJ Drennon for wasting your little Gem messages on this rubbish.

Elminster's Love Bus - Romance in fantasy roleplaying games
Season 2 begins without direction or focus. It will be just random episodes as the fancy takes me or while I experiment with podcasting. This 1st episode begins with a virtual bus journey as a relief from being stuck in the house.

The serious case of the curse of verisimilitude
In a betrayal of what was promised in the 1st episode, I talk about the fault in me that wants to play RPG's seriously, and how that has been a blight on my enjoyment of the game.
