We are thrilled to have with us on this episode Dr. Airi Lampinen and Professor Ann Light.

Airi Lampinen is Associate Professor at the Computer and Systems Sciences Department at Stockholm University and a Docent in Social Psychology at the University of Helsinki. Her research is focused on interpersonal challenges at the intersections of economic encounters, exchange platforms, and algorithmic systems.

Lampinen is a founding faculty member of the Stockholm Technology and Interaction Research group. In the Sharing and Caring COST Action she co-led working group one on practices and communities.

Ann Light is Professor of Interaction Design at Malmo University, Sweden, and Professor of Design and Creative Technology, University of Sussex, UK. She is a qualitative researcher and interaction theorist, specializing in participatory design, human-computer interaction and collaborative future-making. She has worked with arts and grass-roots organizations and marginalized groups and is currently co-leading research on projects in the EU and UK.

Dr. Penny Travlou is lecturer in cultural geography & theory in the Edinburgh School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture at the University of Edinburgh with a PhD in Cultural Geography from Durham University. Her research focuses on social justice, the commons, collaborative practices, emerging networks, feminist methodologies, epistemologies of the South and ethnography.  She is the Co-Leader of our Working Group 1 in the Cost Action: From Sharing to Caring: The Socio-technical Impact of Collaborative Economy.

Dr. Dimitris Pettas is a Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning at the Technical University of Berlin. His research interests include the study of: the social production of public space, the development of platform economy and its impact on urban environment, the role of power relations and agency in modes of urban governance and the exploration and comparative analysis of epistemological and ontological approaches concerning the production of urban environment and urban life.

On this episode we have the pleasure to introduce to the series Dr. Liesbeth Huybrechts and Dr. Maurizio Teli.

Dr. Liesbeth Huybrechts is Associate Professor and works in the areas of participatory design, design anthropology and spatial transformation processes in the research group Arck, University of Hasselt. She has developed a research interest in collectivity and commons in city and region-making which she explores in several research and educational projects. 

Dr. Maurizio Teli is Associate Professor of Techno-Anthropology and Participation at the Department of Planning, Aalborg University, Denmark. He works at the intersection of participatory design, the analysis of socio-economic inequalities, and critical theories. He investigates how to co-design technologies contributing to commoning practices in society, with a particular focus on collaborations with grassroots initiatives – as visible in two of the last European projects he has been involved in, Commonfare and Grassroots Radio.

Christoph Lutz is an Associate Professor at the Nordic Centre for Internet & Society, BI Norwegian Business School (Oslo). His research interests include online participation, privacy, the sharing economy, and social robots.

Cristina Miguel is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, UK. Her research interests include Digital Culture (network intimacy, online communities, and online privacy), and Digital Economy (sharing economy, the political economy of social media, and influencer marketing).

Susanne Bødker is a professor of human-computer interaction in the Department of Computer Science, at Aarhous University in Denmark. She is known for her work on participatory design and computer-mediated human activity. 

Dr. Anton Fedosov, is an interaction design researcher at the People and Computing Lab at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. His research interests lie at the intersection of social aspects of ubiquitous computing, collaborative economy, and user experience design of inter-active systems and services.
