Season 6; Episode: 60: Failing successfully! A discussion on how to transform unwanted habits to healthy habits.
Welcome to Episode #60 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories and life lessons. To support the creation of this podcast please go to https://anchor.fm/sharinglifelessons and hit the support button with the dollar sign to sign up for a monthly subscription for an amount of your choice. This will enable me to continue to bring to you an enhanced season 6. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE, especially those who are looking to discard unwanted habits and adopt healthy habits in life. Our guest for today is Robin Jonk. We all know habits like exercise, healthy eating and meditation are good for us, but how exactly do we benefit? And why is it so hard to make them stick? Robin dug into the latest research, and founded Chumble, a behavioral start up with the mission to create 1 billion happier lives through habit formation. website https://chumble.family Robin has generously offered a 20% savings on his fees for listeners of Sharing Life Lessons. Please schedule an intro call with Robin through https://calendly.com/chumble/freediscoverycall, inserting the special code: SharingLifeLessons20 in the comment section. My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Habits are the shortcuts that our brain creates to save energy on the repeated behaviors over time. 2. To become aware of the habits we possess, Robin asks us to go through a journaling exercise about noting our repetitive actions over a few days so that we can determine which of the habits we possess are supportive, not supportive and neutral related to the person we want to be. Once we determine the habits we want to change then….. 3. Based on the book Atomic habits authored by James Clear – Robin spoke in detail about the habit loop that consists of cue, craving, reaction and reward and discussed with examples how we can use this habit loop to transform unwanted habits to healthy habits and also create a set of new habits that will add value to our lives. 4. Failing successfully. Seeing failure as a necessary building block that you need for success. This is such a powerful idea! Not only in the matter of habits but in all matters of life. I am digressing slightly here but I ask all of us who are parents, can we include this in our parenting routine and allow our children to fail successfully? To fail, learn lessons from the failure and apply those lessons to the next endeavor leading to success, this will give them such a sense of freedom where no failure will bring them down but in fact they will start expecting and accepting failure like they do successes. I will bring you the first episode of season 7 of Sharing Life Lessons in three weeks on Wednesday, June 30th. Until then, 'Be happy, be safe and be well'. Podcast links:. Season 6; Episode: 59: A story of three relationships: You must become selfish in a good way to be happy in any relationship!
Welcome to Episode #59 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE, especially those who are going through stressful relationships. Our guest for today is Scott Spears. Scott is a former global consultant, traveling the world for the past 15 years, living in 52 countries, acquiring many lessons in life, death, love and the importance of balancing physical and mental wellness in our lives. Being a past victim of burnout and death, his journey to recovery in his personal, professional and love lives helped him develop a personalized growth roadmap entitled TIME | LIFE | SELF which is derived from his practical knowledge, failures and successes. Scott helps people unplug and dump their minds into a visual representation. By focusing on the mind, he uses exercises to tap into better focus and control in order to begin piecing their life puzzle together with an ultimate connection to self. You can find Scott at Scott J. Spears – TIME | LIFE | SELF (scottjspears.com) My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Whatever your feelings are, good or bad, especially if you feel you are not being supported by your partner, it is important to pull your partner aside and communicate with them about how you are feeling. Let them know how you think they can support you. Such as in Scott’s example, he said it would have been best if he would have pulled his wife aside and told her that he really wanted to be a part of taking care of their newborn daughter and that she does not have to do it all. It is all about communication. 2. There is no role for pride or ego in any relationship. Be it with parents, siblings, friends, partners, children, and maybe even professional ones. It is best to put ego aside, ego will not do you any good. 3. People change – you may feel that your partner is not the same person you married. The way to counter that is again by communicating in a consistent manner then the change will be expected and not seem so drastic. 4. You need to love yourself before you love anybody else! When you do that, you start to discover your non-negotiables. You must become selfish in a good way to be happy in any relationship. 5. When both of you have taken the time to work on finding yourself and loving yourself, your communication is more honest, there is no hiding of feelings or needs. And that is where real love grows! I will bring you the final episode of season 6 of Sharing Life Lessons next Wednesday. Until then, 'Be happy, be safe and be well'. Podcast links:. Season 6; Episode: 58: There are so many dimensions to every situation. Let’s look for them, be open to them, and embrace them! Interview with a spiritual thought leader.
Welcome to Episode #58 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories and life lessons. This will enable me to continue to bring to you an enhanced season 6. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE. This episode has one of my favorite stories of the guest's life with his grandmother. Our guest for today is Amyn Dahya. Dr. Amyn Dahya is a thought leader and mentor whose unique life experiences embody a holistic combination of scientific excellence in the environmental field, fostered by a deep understanding of spirituality and its unifying, humanistic principles. After a life-threatening accident in the Himalayas, he went through an intensive transformation that opened his mind to deep and profound inspirations, which he has penned into seven books.  These inspirations have also led him towards a realization of a range of simple, universal, meditative techniques that maximize the human power of thought, for material and spiritual growth, and wellbeing.  Dr. Dahya shares these inspired techniques through free online webinars and workshops, with the goal of helping build a global positive human consciousness. Website:  https://amyndahya.com/index.php Email: team@amyndahya.com YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8Jduy3Mlwf52LFQdGC_LaA Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/amyn.dahya.2/ Book authored: Towards zero conflict My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Patience is extremely important. 2. We all make mistakes; let’s pray to learn from them. 3. If you try to forget about the hurt someone has caused you, it is difficult but if you forgive them and move on, you will fill your life with new and more beautiful experiences, then the space that that hurt once occupied is filled. Forgiveness is one of the greatest healers. 4. In the ugliest of circumstances, know that something good is happening. Have faith in your creator. 5. There are so many dimensions to every situation. Let’s look for them, be open to them, and embrace them. 6. No matter what faith or belief you come from, religious or non-religious, it is important to meditate and search for that higher reality. If you don’t seek, you will not find. If you don’t put your line in the sea, you will not catch fish. I will bring you the next episode of season 6 of Sharing Life Lessons next Wednesday. In this life, we are simply passing through this journey for a very short time to gain experience. We have nothing to be proud of and nothing to be arrogant about. Humility and gratitude are the two most fundamental lessons that we are in this world to learn. 2. We are all one and the only thing that separates us is our physical bodies. Our roots reside in one source. 3. I don’t know if Amyn managed to get a chuckle out of you but he definitely got one out of me when when he said: the graveyard, is the richest place on the planet, where the best ideas and knowledge get buried without being shared. He said - I plan to bankrupt the graveyard , I plan to share and I highly encourage you to share as well because people get an opportunity to inspire each other with their stories and lessons. In that regard, if anyone would like to use Sharing Life Lessons as a platform to tell their story and share their life lessons, you are welcome to be my guest. Season 6; Episode: 56: The universe is teaching us lessons in everything. You will find the extraordinary in the ordinary! Interview with a spiritual thought leader.
Welcome to Episode #56 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories and life lessons. We are all equal, you are not below anyone nor are you better than anyone 2. Nothing is impossible so do not give up. Every time you fall, you just get up, dust your shoulders and keep moving. 3. If you have purity of purpose then it can shape your entire lives and benefit many others. 4. This one is my favorite life lesson from this discussion – in the opportunity that is being presented to you, ask yourself, am I passing the 200 year test? Will the world be better off because of it for the next 200 years? If so, go ahead and grab the opportunity but if not, then do something else that will pass the test. You can chose to do a 20 year test instead of a 200 year test, the number of years is not relevant, what is relevant is that in the long term will the world be a better place because of what you did? 5. Lastly, If you care to look, the universe is teaching us lessons in everything. You will find the extraordinary in the ordinary! I will bring you the next episode (Part 2 of this 3 part series)  of season 6 of Sharing Life Lessons next Wednesday. Until then, 'Be happy, be safe and be well'. Podcast links:. Season 6; Episode: 55: Experiencing Burnout? A man's perspective: Self-connection is the key!

You can find Scott at Scott J. Spears – TIME | LIFE | SELF (scottjspears.com) My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Most people live for others than for themselves – this they do by living up to society’s expectations and not their own. 2. If you put all your attention to any physical pain or mental issue, then of course you will experience more of it. Like they say – where focus goes, energy flows. On the other hand, if you recognize it, acknowledge it, learn from it and let it go then you can get your energy back and you need that energy to propel forward in life. 3. Consciousness, Mindfulness and Meditation make up the three steps to the self-connection cycle and Scott has methodically explained each step to us in this discussion. If we practice these 3 steps then we will be able to achieve self-connection which in turn will enable us to get in touch with our intuition, which will make us feel free again. Season 6; Episode: 52: You matter! How you can drop out of your head and into your heart! Interview with a soul coach.
Welcome to Episode #52 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories and life lessons. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE, especially those who want to transform their negative emotions into positive emotions. Our guest for today is Claudia-Sam. Claudia-Sam is a Soul Coach for driven women who are stuck with where they're at in life, who feel like they've lost sense of their purpose and who feel unfulfilled and who don't know how to put themselves first without feeling guilty. She supports them to trust themselves, find their purpose, make decisions about their life that they're happy with (even if they're afraid of judgement from others) and helps them to put themselves on their to-do list and feel good about it, using her Tune-In method! Claudia-Sam's signature program is called Tune-In: Your Confident Self Awaits. It's a 3-month soul coaching initiative for inner guidance. Visit tuneinprogram.com for more information. You can find her at claudiasamsoulcoaching.com. The direct link to the Slow Down and De-Stress free 5-day self-care challenge that Claudia spoke of in the interview:  https://claudiasamsoulcoaching.com/selfcarechallenge My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. The first and foremost life lesson from today’s discussion is that ‘Your to-do list will still be there tomorrow. 2. You matter! Self-care needs to be a lifestyle. 3. When we learn to tune in to our body, into our soul, we start reversing the roles between fear and trust. So that fear can step aside, become smaller and the soul can take a bigger space within us. 4. How do we know that fear has even stepped in? First step is to be aware that it is present within us and Claudia presented 3 ways in which we can do that, which are,  physical (what is happening in your body), mental (what are the thoughts in your mind), and emotional (whether you are allowing your emotions to be felt) 5. Second step is to connect with yourself and set those boundaries. What are you saying yes to that you should be saying no to, because it's not uplifting you and it's draining you instead. 6. Last step is being in alignment with your body, your mind and your emotions on a regular lifestyle basis. Once you achieve that you are able to trust more easily.  I will bring you the 53rd episode of season 6 of Sharing Life Lessons next Wednesday. Until then, 'Be happy, be safe and be well'. Season 6; Episode: 51: There is nothing that you cannot be or do or have! ~Abraham Hicks (master teacher of Law of Attraction)
Welcome to Episode #51 of SEASON 6 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories. To support the creation of this podcast please go to https://anchor.fm/sharinglifelessons and hit the support button with the dollar sign to sign up for a monthly subscription for an amount of your choice. This will enable me to continue to bring to you an enhanced season 6. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE. We don't have a guest for today per se because I have decided to change up the format for episode #51 to start Season #6 a bit differently. The episode will be divided into 2 parts: Part #1: We are going to listen to a personal story from a pre-recorded video from Abraham Hicks, the master teacher of The Law of Attraction and we will learn from the life lessons she shares from the story. The beauty of the story is its simplicity, despite which, it is loaded with life lessons.  I truly hope you enjoy it. My key takeaways from the story are as follows: 1. There is nothing that you cannot be or do or have. There is nothing that is outside the limits of your creating. All things are possible. 2. You play both roles inside yourself for every subject in your life. You want abundance of money, but you don’t believe you deserve more money. You want a better relationship, but you don’t believe you will get one. Your resistance is constantly in your own way. 3. Therefore lastly, become as resistance free as possible, justify less, daydream more, laugh more, follow your intuition more, that will lead you to manifest all things you have ever dreamed of in life. Website: Elormempire.com 20% discount coupon code for listeners for any item/s from the online store: Sharinglifelessons20 My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Having a negative emotion is not a bad thing. We should accept a negative emotion like anger, hurt, feeling upset just like we would accept being happy or joyful. 2. Talking about emotions and feelings in the family and at work is healthy and not having that kind of open communication with our children, spouses, friends, co-workers etc. can be hurtful 3. Community is very important and to those who are feeling alone, don’t try to tackle mental illness on your own, do seek out those connections that really feel special to you 4. More importantly, Nisan’s final message was to not make assumptions from what we see because what we see is actually not what is going on deep down. Let people have their own truths. Let people have their own truths!! You can personally write to me at sharinglifelessons101@gmail.com with your comments or if you have a story to share with our listeners. In life, we can do anything we want to do but whatever we do, wellness should be a part of it. Wellness in this sense is wholesome wellbeing that includes healthy body, mind, work, finances, relationships, emotions etc. 2. Follow your passion and Live everyday as if it was your last day – if you are not happy with your life then take a leap of faith and make a change because life is too short! Believe in yourself and love yourself. 3. The way we win in life is by taking the first step and by performing TPR – target pass and repeat. Once we take that first step we can build on it and become even stronger to take our next step. So break things down to smaller targets and take one step at a time. 4. Lastly, save whatever you can, especially if you are planning to make a career change or start a new business. This way you are not fearful because the savings will work for you as a cushion when you start to make the desired change. Season 5; Episode: 47: What is your relationship with money? Let's talk to a financial therapist about financial health and discipline!
Welcome to Episode #47 of SEASON 5 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one soul and together we are creating a library of stories. This will enable me to bring you an enhanced season 5. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE. Our guest for today is Lindsay Bryan-Podvin.  She is a biracial financial therapist, speaker, and Plutus-nominated author of the book "The Financial Anxiety Solution." In her therapy practice, Mind Money Balance, she uses shame-free financial therapy to help people get their minds and money in balance. She lives with her partner and their dog in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Instagram: @mindmoneybalance Website: www.mindmoneybalance.com Resources: Erin Lowry's Broke Millennial Book series https://brokemillennial.com/get-the-book/. This is a book recommended by Lindsay for those who want a basic book on financial discipline. My key takeaways from the discussion in this episode are as follows: 1. Nobody is inherently bad with money. Don’t ever think that If you are in debt or are living paycheck to paycheck, that you are dumb or stupid. You are not. You can learn, you can change, you can overcome. 2. You should give yourself the permission to grow and to change your mind. A marker of true maturity is to say I used to believe in something but now I have new information, and I have grown beyond the belief I used to have. I think this life lesson is on the money for life as well as for money matters. Lindsay also shared an appropriate money example with us regarding this life lesson. 3. In order to help you shift any guilt provoking thoughts in your head about money, be kind to yourself the way you would be kind to a friend. Learn from your mistakes and bring the required change in your life to achieve financial health. 4. Lastly for those listeners who are parents, please teach your children to be financially responsible from an early age. It is one of those good habits that will benefit them lifelong. Season 5; Episode: 46: Our intellect will serve us best when it is in service to our intuition and not the other way around!
Welcome to Episode #46 of SEASON 5 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one heart and together we are creating a library of stories. This will enable me to bring you an enhanced season 5. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE and especially parents. Our guest for today is Victoria Shaw. Victoria is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Spiritual Coach who combines her background and training in psychology and counseling with her intuitive gifts to help clients heal, grow and realize their spiritual and full personal potential.  She takes a holistic approach to counseling, addressing clients’ concerns on the mind/body/spiritual levels. She especially loves working with people who are committed to using their struggles and life experiences to fuel their own spiritual awakening.  Victoria is the author of four self-help books for parents, children and teens, the host of Intuitive Connection podcast, and the mother of two spirited (now adult) children. Victoria's website: www.victoriashawintuitive.com Link to Victoria's podcast Intuitive Connection: https://open.spotify.com/show/3tjEw0WDWQNgzHssK0emXF?si=w0PkRm22S1m1C88irSV_vA My key takeaways from the discussion are as follows: 1. Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today 2. Tune into yourself, learn to be present, cultivate mindfulness, cultivate, that present moment awareness because our intellect will serve us best when it is in service to our intuition and not the other way around. 3. Sometimes, we find these parts of ourselves that we're not super comfortable with and we judge them. Being really kind to ourselves is important. 4. Lastly, I really like what Victoria said about how to recognize the voice of our intuition – she said that ‘your spirit is actually emotionally neutral. Your spirit doesn't judge, it's very calm, clear, and direct. So for most of us, the voice of our intuition is very calm, very clear and very direct. And even if it's giving us information, that might not be what we want to hear. It usually delivers that information in a clear and calm manner. Note: At time stamp 23:45 you will notice that Victoria very naturally started channeling her guides to guide her through this discussion. You may not have control over what happens to you but you can have 100% control over how you respond to what happens to you. 2. We learn every day, especially from the bad choices we have made but that is only half of the equation. The important thing is how we apply what we have learnt. 3. No matter how difficult the situation is you always have the power of choice so have the courage to make conscious choices moment by moment. 4. And lastly, I have almost fallen in love with Stephen Covey’s quote (from his book 'The Eighth Habit') ‘ between stimulus and response, there lies a space and in that space lies our freedom to choose our destiny’ and so I ask you - are you going to use your power of choice or are you going to leave your life to chance? Chris resides in New Jersey, tries keeping up with her three adult children living across the US, uses Chris/she/they pronouns and enjoys walks outdoors when the weather is nice and Peloton biking when it’s not.  My key takeaways are as follows:  1. Tomorrow is not a given and we know this well today with the current circumstances of Covid.  2. Know yourself. What interests you. What gives you energy. Make it part of your life to take the time to do what is important for you. Simply put, in the day to day grind, don’t forget to take care of yourself. If you want others to value your time, then you need to value your time first.  3. Be okay to be vulnerable with your friends, family, and colleagues and in turn give them the safe space to be vulnerable with you  4. Get yourself some good friends who will be honest with you and help you look in that mirror. In conclusion, remember to put on your oxygen mask first - make time for yourself and do those little things for yourself that you enjoy doing. I am so happy that he finally agreed to be a guest on the show and I am proud that his first book called 'Rumi and Kabir Consulting' was released last month. As soon as it was released, it hit the charts as #2 on the hot release list in India.  You can buy the book on amazon.com or amazon.in Name of the book: Rumi and Kabir Consulting by Akbar Khwaja and Nikhil Sharma My Key Takeaways from this fun sibling  banter is as follows: There are 3 things that can get you started on the path of happiness: 1. The ability to be silent in words, in mind, and in emotions this you can do by controlling your TPM that is your thoughts per minute 2. From the silence that is created in the heart and mind, emerges the ability to listen to your intuition 3. Through intuition, you can get in touch with the inner most part of yourself which will give you the deepest kind of happiness 4. There are hacks to happiness which allow you to take shortcuts towards happiness. These hacks are disclosed in the book. I will leave you with my favorite verse from the book written by Kabir: Karta tha so kyun kiya Ab kari kyun pachtai Boya ped babul ka Tu aam kahan se paye Which means: Without thought did you act, Now done, why repent after the fact If seeds of a bitter fruit you sow How then would a mango grow You can personally write to me at sharinglifelessons101@gmail.com with your reviews of the book or if you have a story to share with our listeners. Season 5; Episode: 42: Neale Walsch author of Conversations with God - We are all one and what you do for others, you do for you!
Welcome to Episode #42 of SEASON 5 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal!!  We are one spirit; one heart and together we are creating a library of stories. To support the creation of this podcast please go to https://anchor.fm/sharinglifelessons and hit the support button with the dollar sign to sign up for a monthly subscription for an amount of your choice. This will enable me to bring you a new and enhanced season 5. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE - this is a global message. This is Part 2 of a 2 part series with our honorable guest Neale Walsch, who has written 39 books on contemporary spirituality and its practical applications in everyday life, including the 9-book Conversations with God series. 7 of the 9 books were on the NY Times best seller list. With Book One remaining on the list for 134 weeks. His books have been translated into 37 languages. His latest book is The God Solution, which was published in Dec. 2020 and most of our dialogue today will be based on this new release. Description of The God Solution: His latest book is The God Solution, published in December, 2020, which invites humanity to embrace a new global ethic based on a refined and clarified definition of God. The book proposes that there is a single statement of spiritual truth upon which all the world’s religions could agree, and which would birth a shift of spiritual paradigms around the globe of such magnitude that it would produce peace and happiness on our planet at last. You can purchase it on amazon.com. Neale is the creator of CWG Connect (www.CWGConnect.com), a global online platform connecting people who wish to more deeply explore the messages in the CWG body of work. My Key Takeaways from another enlightening dialogue with Neale are: 1. if we really moved forward in human society with pure love as our model, abject poverty would be eliminated because we would never allow our fellow beings to live in such conditions. 2. We don't have to agree with each other in order to love each other. And that's really very important for us to understand. We can still love those who have not behaved in ways with which we agree. For example, if you're my spouse and you're mistreating me. I don't have to agree with you mistreating me just because I say I love you purely. So I can chose to not live with you because you are mistreating me and still love you purely. 3. We are all one and what you do for others, you do for you, because there really is only one of us. And so in the largest sense, your life is about everyone else, whose life you touch and the way in which you touch it. And when you understand that your whole life will change 4. 1. All of us are talking to God all the time. Neale reiterated that God said very specifically. I talk to everyone all the time. The question is not to whom am I talking? The question is who's listening. You can personally write to me at sharinglifelessons101@gmail.com with your comments or if you have a story to share with our listeners. Season 5; Episode: 41: Neale Walsch author of Conversations with God - There is a voice of wisdom and clarity that exists in all of us!

This is Part 1 of a 2 part series with our honorable guest Neale Walsch, who has written 39 books on contemporary spirituality and its practical applications in everyday life, including the 9-book Conversations with God series. 7 of the 9 books were on the NY Times best seller list. With Book One remaining on the list for 134 weeks. His books have been translated into 37 languages. You can purchase it on amazon.com. Neale is the creator of CWG Connect (www.CWGConnect.com), a global online platform connecting people who wish to more deeply explore the messages in the CWG body of work. My Key Takeaways from this enlightening dialogue with Neale are: 1. There is undoubtedly a voice of wisdom and clarity that exists in all of us. 2. Many believe in the presence of the divine being but we also need to agree upon who and what is God?  Let’s see if we can agree with the statement ‘God is Pure Love’? and specifically Pure Love because it is a kind of love that needs, asks for, expects, hopes for and demands nothing in return. Can we together believe in such a God? Because surely what would God need, want and expect from us that he already does not have? 3. Wouldn’t it be powerful if we could all simply agree on this one single definition of God? That we can all rally around, take into our lives, and use as a model to practice as part of our demonstration of who we are? 4. Welcome to the first episode of season 2 of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world to have fun with and to learn from because stories inspire, stories teach, and stories heal! To support the creation of Season 2 of this podcast please go to https://anchor.fm/sharinglifelessons, hit the support button with the dollar sign to sign up for a monthly subscription from $0.99 to $9.99 per month (your choice). This will enable me to continue making and enhancing Season 2. The target audience for this episode is EVERYONE. The goal of this episode is to bring out the better side of Covid-19 and to find the calm from within the chaos. Our guest for today is Rachna Johary, who is a nurse for 20 years at Centra State hospital in Freehold, NJ. Rachna talks to us about how the 'front liners' are coping with the situation physically as well as emotionally. In addition, since this situation has a global impact, I want to present a global perspective of the better side of Covid-19. We have three other contributors, each from different fields of profession and different countries. They are from London, Canada and New Zealand.  Each of them spoke to us about the better side of Covid-19 in their countries and surprisingly each of them brought to us a unique perspective of it. Paul Howden from United Kingdom found the better side of the situation in how the citizens of UK are coming together for each other and shared a fascinating example of Captain Tom Moore who is 99 years old and is able to collect 29 million Sterling Pounds for the health care workers. You can read about Captain Tom at this link:  http://justgiving.com/fundraising/tomswalkforthenhs. Captain Tom turns 100 this week. Fauzia Hemani Madhani from Canada found the better side of the current situation in a newly developed sense of community, going back to the basics, spending more time with her family and being able to develop skills and do the things that she normally would not have the time to do. Shahina Oberoi from New Zealand found the calm within the chaos from the safety she and her fellow countrymen feel from the transparent, direct, and clear way their Prime Minister Jacinda Arden is handling the crisis. Her narrative was thorough and detailed and kept me wishing that the same was true in USA. It was amazing how each person agreed that Covid-19 is also bringing us some new beautiful beginnings but from where that was coming from was very different for each one. Let us together continue to find the 'calm from within the chaos'. I will return with the 2nd episode of season 2 of 'Sharing Life Lessons' next Wednesday. Until then, 'Stay safe, be happy and be well'. Episode 2: "Teach them that wants to be teached"
This is the second episode of 'Sharing Life Lessons'.  A podcast that brings you stories from around the world because stories inspire, stories teach and stories heal! I want to thank those who took time to send me comments with words of love, encouragement and feedback. I am thankful for having you on my team.  Today's guest is a person to whom story telling comes naturally, He was appointed the 16th head of Peddie School in 2013. His appointment was a homecoming to Peddie, an elite private school in NJ, where he had served as a teacher, coach, dorm supervisor, college counselor, and admission director between 1985 and 1996. Let's listen to Peter Quinn share his life lessons. Peter takes us nearly 40 years back to his college summers when his father required that he work at the rail roads to 'tough it out' and face reality and life in a less sheltered manner. His interactions with the men working there, many with no education, makes for an interesting topic to discuss. Peter learnt the importance of education, hard work, diversity and the toughest lesson that no college professor could teach him in the four years of college: "Teach them that wants to be teached" The railroad foreman who said these words to Peter said 'I know I am not saying it right, but if my 5th grade teacher had taught me to spell, read and write - I would have said it right". For those who have enjoyed listening to this episode, send comments, rate, and subscribe.  Also, if you wish to pay it forward by sharing your life lessons with others on this show then please write to me at sharinglifelessons101@gmail.com To get to know the host and to understand why and how 'Sharing Life lessons' was envisioned and created, please listen to Episode 000.
