Leisa is an Organisational Psychologist with over 15 years of experience, however her interest in this field expands well beyond these years and goes deep into her childhood. She continues to deepen her knowledge as more and more scientific research is made public. In this podcast we dive into many "models" that help explain things like the feelings we go through during a transition, workplace cultures, self awareness, team dynamics, our drivers and values, wellbeing and more. There are so many valuable insights in this episode with Leisa, she is an absolute wealth of knowledge when it comes to the topic of human behaviour. Behind the Bbox with Nicki Ursu
Nicki Ursu has 20+ years of experience within the People and Culture space and has recently, along with her business partner, launched "Ignite Your Career"; workshops for those at a crossroads with their career. If you're feeling lost, burnt out or looking for your next role, this episode is perfect for you!
We spoke about why strengths, limiting beliefs, personal values and taking action is so important when it comes to creating a career you love. Plus she provides tips and tools to help you begin identifying what really matters to you and how to land a job that aligns to your vales.
What I found really interesting was Nicki's perspective on having an 'extreme mentality' when it came to finding a purpose or passion. It's often not about having an all or nothing approach when it comes to doing more of what you enjoy. There's so many ways you can leverage your strengths without making drastic changes to your lifestyle. We would love to hear your thoughts on this podcast. Behind the Bbox with Dr Tim Sharp
An internationally renowned leader in the field of Positive Psychology and mental health Dr. Sharp is a sought after Consultant and Executive Coach, Speaker, Author and Spokesperson.
I first came across Dr Tim Sharp on YouTube while he was being interviewed by two podcasters who were discussing mental health.
I was really fascinated by their discussion and because I'm passionate about positive psychology and mental health, I wanted to learn more so I connected with him on LinkedIn. And that's how we came to know eachother - my passion for health and wellbeing must have shone through because he sent me two of his books which were filled with research based tips on improving your mental health (link below).
I really loved the way he had structured his thoughts and research around how you can begin living a more more fulfilling and meaningful life. I wanted to spread his knowledge with others - so here we are now, about to jump into a podcast we recorded.
We chat about quite a few things; what it really means to be "happy", the importance of optimism and mindfulness, Dr Tim Sharp's own challenges with mental health, workplace culture, leadership and more. A few of the concepts we discussed can be found in his book, check it out, share it with someone who might need it. Knowledge is truly a gift..
I hope you found this valuable and thank you for taking the time to listen :)

Behind the Bbox with Emily Jaksch
Emily’s fascination with human behaviour started in High School, when she had aspirations to study Anthropology or Archaeology. However, her Father thought studying Commerce would give her more job opportunities as well as a secure career. So after graduating with a Commerce degree she began a career in Corporate HR, climbing to the highest position only to realise she was unhappy. This led to self-reflection and the realisation that she wasn't living a life aligned to her values. Then came HR Gurus.. her very own HR consultancy company, and of course this journey didn't happen overnight. She has now re-connected with what she loves; human behaviour and the study of cultural norms that have developed across different generations. She has self-funded her own research to find what makes Millennials as a generation and in the workforce so different and is on a mission to help CEO’s, Business Owners and Leaders across Australia understand the generational differences in our workforce. Tune in to hear Emily' story as well as her insights into NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), leadership, coaching, millenials and more..
Check out https://www.hrgurus.com.au/blog for all the brilliant research Emily shares on millenials and how/why different behaviours play out in a multi-generational workforce....

Behind the Bbox with Adrian Petrie
Adrian Petrie like most of us didn't know what he wanted to do straight after high school, and so he went straight into university to study business. Struggling to stay motivated and focus at school, in his final year he realised he was wasting all the opportunities his parents had worked so hard for. Fast forward to today and he is bringing in up to $650k in fees for the company he works for and has just written his first book, Lead From The Front. I'm personally really inspired by his story, it goes to show there's no traditional path to great leadership. Hope you guys enjoy this conversation as much as I did, let us know what you think.
