Be the Change you Wish to See in this World - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD52
Namaste!
Hope you are doing well!
Well, it is Episode 52 and we have come to the end of this first season of episodes!
I have cherished interviewing 34 Entrepreneurs, 2 Couplepreneurs in the past one year.
It has surely been a great learning for me; very insightful and I am sure the listeners out here had a wonderful time listening to various stories of change and perseverance!
I am grateful for all the Entrepreneurs and Listeners for making this a wonderful Season 1.
In the 50th Episode we spoke about ‘WHY’ one wants to start a venture or a business.
Today, I am going to talk about the Willingness to Make the Change!
I am sure we have seen great companies having their WHY in place and when they are out in the market, the Change is out there for everyone to see!
e.g; TATA, APPLE
Before one can figure out the WHY, it all starts with the WILLINGNESS TO MAKE A CHANGE, TO MAKE A BETTER WORLD!
With every Entrepreneur that I have spoken on my show, everyone had this one thought to make a change, to create something new for the benefit of others!
That my friend is the start of a venture tied along with the inner journey!
As Mahatma Gandhi, quotes “Be the Change, you wish to see in this world!” So does every new idea, new concept, new venture, new perspective begins within oneself to create a better world!
You may ask how do I change myself or Why should I change myself?
To answer the WHY – Well, haven’t you felt this at any point in your life, that things could have been better or it should have been handled well or quite simply things need to change for the benefit of everyone!
To answer the HOW – Tapping into yourself, any activity that one can do with utter involvement can lead to satisfaction and clarity! Meditation, Yoga, Dance, any Art form can help one to tap into their inner self.
From my own life experience so far I know it works and in an amazing way!
A request to all embarking on an independent journey or those who are working in companies or those who are Entrepreneurs, dive in and get to know yourself!
Because when one taps into the inner self, the inner journey, then the beauty of life unfolds and you can only make it better for yourself and others from here on!
As I always say, Invest in yourself and what you reap is surely going to be phenomenal!
So here is me ending Season 1. Meet you soon in the next Season probably with something different or a different format or a different topic and ofcourse a different year.
Until then, Invest in yourself!

Start with WHY - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD50
Namaste!
Hoping you are doing well!
Well it is Episode 50 and I am so glad to have conversed with wonderful people about their beautiful journeys.
I hope the previous episodes were of some value to all you listeners.
I have interviewed people from various genres and experiences and the insights which they have shared on the Podcast is quite valuable and remarkable.
I am sure it would have resonated with you on some level.
We have spoken about businesses, marketing, challenges, sources of income, passion, consistency, protocols, products, services, avenues, teams, Financial management and whole lot of other things related to business and an entrepreneur but there is one important thing which is the reason behind starting a business or a venture.
So, today, I am going to talk about the question we probably overlook is WHY!
To quote Simon Sinek- “People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe”
One anyone wants to start a business – the probable question one asks others or oneself is “What business should I start?” or “What should I do to make money?” or “What is the market open for now?”
Ain’t that right?
These questions are relevant but before all these there is one major question which one needs to ask oneself.
WHY?
Why should I start a business?
Why do I need to put out a product or a service?
Most companies or people start with WHAT and end up feeling confused when the business is not successful because they don’t have their WHY defined out?
As Simon Sinek rightly puts out that people buy your products or services because they relate or resonate with your WHY.
Once the WHY is sorted out the HOW to do it and WHAT to do it will readily fall into place.
To elaborate:
WHY talks about: purpose
HOW talks about: USP
WHAT talks about: Your product or services
For instance, TATA is a global brand, we do know what all they do, which industries they are in and how different they are from other companies. They have made impact to the minds of not just Indian people but people across the world because of their WHY?
Their WHY is all about nation building, employment creation and talent skills acquisition! They could stand for other things as well but you know what I am talking about.
It is all about the WHY.
Addressing the WHY needs to happen intrinsically, within yourself as someone who wants to be entrepreneur. One you are sorted inside the HOW and the WHAT will follow suit and there your business is out there.
If you still are not CLEAR about your WHY, then it is time to pay attention and figure out the WHY.
Well, so start with WHY!
Never too late to restrategize the way you operate your business or Life for that matter.
I think the biggest lesson is to ask yourself WHY you are at this particular JOB or WHY you are you leading a LIFE like this.
The WHY is applicable to your LIFE as well which is your biggest and important venture!
It is time to look within for your business or your LIFE!
Start with Why and I shall leave you to it while I end this episode.
Please let me know if you want me to talk about any particular topic or concept. I would love to do that.

Minimalism and Productivity - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD46
Namaste!
Hoping you are doing well!
Today I am here to talk on Minimalism and Productivity!
You may wonder, "How are they related?" or "Do they go hand in hand?"
Minimalism does make us Productive. Less is surely more! Confusing?!
Let's look into How Minimalism fosters Productivity.
I have spoken about Minimalism in my previous solo episodes, now Let's look into how Minimalism can be a Productive Tool.
Lesser Clutter- Physically and Mentally
Decluttering our Physical spaces and also decluttering our minds from past memories and future imaginations is a start for having a productive day!
We all need to tackle the mess that could be in our homes like clothes strewn around, unwashed dishes, half-done activities etc. The clutter in our mind also need to be addressed either through Introspection or Journaling or Meditation whichever suits your needs!
Lesser distractions
This accounts for all the irrelevant activities done at an inappropriate time. Like watching a movie when you have a deadline to adhere to in the next few minutes or an important meeting with a client. One could plan the day accordingly to avoid stress. When working from home there could be a whole lot of distractions, it is best to tell the people concerned about your work timings. Distractions wouldn't come into play as long as one is involved with the task at hand in that moment.
Lesser gadgets
It is always best to keep it simple! Keep only the gadgets or technical resources which are needed for your work. There isn't a need to buy the top class gadgets just because you are starting work in a new company. You can start off with minimal but much needed resources than buying expensive and irrelevant ones.
The tools and gadgets shouldn't add to the clutter and overwhelm you. It is best to make efficient use of the resources present with you.
This also goes for using Gadgets as a distraction when you have tons of work to do!
Lesser compulsive activitiesOne should practice consciously working on activities rather than mindlessly doing things. This would avoid stress and unnecessary goof-ups. If one can be involved with the job at hand- it could be either doing laundry or creating a presentation or writing an article, the joy and satisfaction of doing that job with utter involvement at that moment can be truly amazing! It is all about being in the PRESENT moment! Everything is about NOW!
Lesser the talkWell when at work or when one is doing a job - it is best to keep the talking to a minimal unless it is very much required to talk to the stakeholders concerned to complete the activity.
When you don't talk irrelevantly then your focus is on the job concerned and it helps to be productive and finish the job with ease!
Well these are just a few ways in which Minimalism fosters Productivity. There could be more ways. But for now see if this resonates with you and if you are able to accomplish being productive by accepting Minimalism in your way of Life.
Please let me know if you want me to talk about any particular topic or concept. I would love to do that.

Being Present in the Moment and Being Productive - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD35
How to be Present in the Moment and be Productive
Namaste!
Hoping you are doing well!
In this episode I am going to talk about - How to be Present in the Moment and be Productive
There are certainly times when doing mundane tasks or watching a movie or preparing for an exam, our mind is anxious or restless. This is due to our preoccupied minds or quite simply our mind is thinking about a zillion other things.
I am sure you must have experienced the above.
There have been many times when I was at work and I used to think of the chores pending at home and likewise when I was home I used to think about the tasks at work.
Sounds familiar right?
Well, in our pursuit of having a happy and bright future we are neglecting the present and constantly worried about the future or dwelling in the past.
How do we get past this?
Our mind is thinking something while we are doing something totally different.
I am sure at this moment you want a solution or an idea.
Stay with me in this moment. Take a deep breath. Inhale. Exhale. Keep doing this for a couple of minutes.
Ok now let's get to the point.
How can we practise or just be mindful of being in the present moment?
This is a question we have now.
Let's take it step by step.
Scenario 1: I am sure all of us would have played one game or another.
Be completely present in the moment and go with the flow
Scenario 2: Think of a goal or a target which was fruitful because you focused on the job at hand.
Concentrate wholly on one single task at a time.
Scenario 3: Imagine getting bored when doing laundry or cleaning the kitchen everyday.
Enjoy and again give it your all and don't think of a task as big or small just think of it as a task needed to be done at this moment.
Probably you can observe yourself when you are doing certain tasks be it at work or at home.
Try it for yourself and see the difference it brings to your daily life.
Do let me know how it went by being in the present moment and ofcourse being productive.
Waiting to hear from you!

Being Doing Having - Part 3 Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD29
Namaste!
Hope you listened and enjoyed to the previous episodes of Being Doing Having Series where I spoke on BEING and then on DOING!
Today I am going to talk about HAVING!
For the human kind, Desire is the basis of Life.
LIFE IS DESIRE and Desires are unending! There is no doubt about that.
Right from the time we wake up, desires come into play. Desire to Get up from Bed, Brushing teeth, Taking a shower, Going for a walk, Cooking, Cleaning, Teaching etc. all these are desires.
You could have a desire to play an instrument, travel the world, head a company, desires can be innumerable and that is absolutely fine!
All that matters is - Are they Conscious?
Desires can lead to misery when it plays out as a reaction to the social situations. For instance, my neighbour has a fancy car, I also need one. My colleague has a Villa, I also need one.
Desires can turn out sour or lead to frustration when done compulsively. Unfulfilled desires do cause misery.
We as human beings long to be more than what we are, we certainly want to go beyond our limitations – Desire to be more than what we are, needs to happen consciously and not in reaction to a social situation or comparison.
Considering this is the last part of BEING-DOING-HAVING Series, I want to share an experience with you all that certainly had the volition of BEING DOING HAVING ingrained in that experience.
Well, I have been a trekker since my early 20s.
At that point in time, Trekking used to be a race to reach the peak. It didn’t matter what route I took, I just had to reach the peak, and probably I was physically testing myself!
In my late 20s, when I got back to Trekking, my body didn’t have the stamina to rush up the mountain and especially Himalayas is an entirely different ball game.
In a couple of years’ time, I was working on my Wellbeing with Yoga and Meditation. A friend of mine suggested we go on the Annapurna Circuit Trail in Nepal.
I was a bit worried if I could make it to the topmost pass and whether I could bear the altitude. Although I had trekked in the Himalayas for 3 years then, I still had my reservations.
My friend and I decided that we would take it slow and enjoy the journey and if we can take it across the topmost pass at almost 18000 ft then so be it. If not , it is totally ok.
With this mindset, through all the 15-20 days, we completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek successfully!
If interested you can read about this on my blog-https://trystmyworld.wordpress.com/2019/07/03/the-annapurna-circuit-abode-of-solitude/
And this experience totally relates to BEING DOING HAVING i.e;
BEING – where I had and was working on my wellbeing without any agenda
DOING – Trekking up the mountains, enjoying the views every moment and living it every second. Just doing what was needed at that point in time on any given day
HAVING – Having and Adding ofcourse the Annapurna Circuit Trek to my kitty of accomplished Treks where I didn’t bother about the results and the outcome.
BEING – DOING - HAVING has become my Life. There are no frivolous desires, just conscious ones to sail through and enjoy Life to its fullest.
I hope you have enjoyed this series of BEING DOING HAVING!
Change starts with us to make a better world and a safe haven for the future generations to prosper.
It all starts with you and me.
To quote Mahatma Gandhi - ‘Be the change you wish to see in this world!”

Being Doing Having - Part 2 Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD28
Namaste!
Hope you listened and enjoyed to the previous episode of Being Doing Having Series!
Today I am going to talk about DOING.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about DOING?
Is it your JOB? CHORES? AN IMPORTANT TASK? A BIG GOAL THAT YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH?
Three decades of my Life I have constantly aimed at DOING THINGS with the RESULT in mind. The MAJOR things that I wanted to DO were related to Education, Job, Career, Milestones.
I want you to make a note on the words I used in my previous sentence– MAJOR THINGS, RESULT
This had led me to work in the mode of – Thinking about HAVING a particular thing and then DOING it. That’s where I went wrong. With the result in mind, I ended up doing things unconsciously.
Lately, I have come to realize that DOING is all about being involved with anything that is being done at that point in time. It is that simple.
It doesn’t matter whether the work is IMPORTANT OR NOT
It doesn’t matter whether the work is BIG or SMALL
It doesn’t matter whether the work you do is based on your LIKES AND DISLIKES
All that matters is DOING anything with utter involvement and what is needed to be done at that point in time.
You may wonder what are the things to be done at that point in time.
For instance, after waking up – you would be brushing your teeth and not start painting right!
To reiterate don’t tag anything you DO into Important, Big, Small, Relevant………. This would in turn discriminate the things that you would have to do and within no time you would have separate buckets labelled as IMPORTANT, BIG, SMALL etc. This would hamper the joy of leading a Life as you would be choosing only a pile of things which you think is Important. This could leave you miserable, frustrated, anxious, depressed!
Life as such doesn’t come up with Important, Big things to be done! Life is to be lived every moment. And by discriminating the things and labelling things only makes things worse and makes us devoid of the joy of Life in its entirety!
When I started to DO things without labelling them as Important, Big, Small, Relevant – I enjoyed doing any task or work or chore thrown at me. And with me being totally involved in that moment gave me that sheer stillness. I didn’t have to bother about the results because when anything is done with utter Involvement, it is sure to find its way in a beautiful positive result without us having to pursue it.
It doesn’t matter what you DO in Life, all that matters is HOW you do it!
You could be a Gymnast, a teacher, a scientist, a vendor, a musician, an artist, an healthcare worker, all that matters is HOW you go about DOING it and doesn’t matter what YOU DO.
What you DO doesn’t define you!
What you DO isn’t your Identity!
What you DO doesn’t really matter!
All that matters is HOW you DO it!
When this becomes your way of Life, you can surely DO anything in Life. You could also be successful in things which you may not have forayed into. Trust me I am talking about this from experience.
Why not Try an exercise- of living a day without labelling any tasks or work. See how you feel and jot down in your journal if need be. Try this for a week or a month. Notice any changes in your life. Introspect, Retrospect and consciously live your Life!

Being Doing Having - Part 1 - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD27
Namaste! How are you all doing? I am back again with a Solo episode.
Well, today I am going to talk about – BEING DOING HAVING. You might be wondering what this is about.
In few of the prior episodes, this notion of Being Doing Having did come up and I thought why not talk about it.
As this is of much relevance in the times that we are in now – the Pandemic.
In retrospection, I have come to realize I was taking the route of Having – Doing – Being! Instead of BEING DOING HAVING
In addition, I quote Sadhguru, “Once you shift your order of priorities from having-doing-being to being-doing-having your destiny will be in your hands.”
Well, this is as simple as first work on your wellbeing then you Do what is needed pertaining to education or work or career and things will come to you as long as you are DOING things with utter involvement and are being of value to others.
In other words, during our teens and early 20s, I am sure we would have thought about having this car, a house, a yacht and what not. And we would rack our brains on how we could achieve these materialistic things. That’s when we would try to get a seat in Engineering or Medical College or Commerce just so that we could achieve our dream milestones. But then having achieved this, is our wellbeing sound?
Are we able to enjoy these milestones while being healthy physically, mentally and emotionally?
Do we get a good night’s sleep?
Do we have peace of mind?
If yes, glad that you are on the right track.
If no, then it is time we introspect and ask ourselves why not? What is stopping us to be happy and having that peace of mind?
And also to accept the fact that that’s where we went wrong instead of taking the route of –Being-Doing-Having, we had been taught or pushed towards the idea of Having-Doing-Being.
Unconsciously somehow I took to the route of working on my wellbeing these past few years. And things and I have changed for the better.
To prioritize things in Life- it is all about-
BEING – DOING – HAVING
Let me break this down further to you all through my experience-
So when I started working on my wellbeing in all aspects- When I took to Yoga, Meditation – I could see incremental changes Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Energetically.
My way of perceiving things has been clear and insightful. I am more relaxed, calmer and take things on the go. I work on things that need to be done at that point in time. I am not worried about the results. I get a good night’s sleep. And there is always a sense of stillness within me despite any situations.
With the mindset of keeping my wellbeing at the fore and as the foundation of my Life, I can Do what is required and have things that would come my way. Most importantly, I would be joyful, blissed out irrespective of what results come by.
During this Pandemic, our wellbeing is of utmost importance, It is surely the first priority that we all need to take care of. As long as we are well, we will be capable of taking care of your family.
As long as we are well, we can do things and also have the things come our way be it money or materialistic things or any other milestones. It comes our way without us having to pursue them.
Well, here is me hoping all of us build our wellbeing in all aspects and also help other near and dear ones before we can go help the community as a whole.
Wellbeing is a must!

Minimalism in Real Life - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD20
Hello,
So Today it is me alone talking about Minimalism!
“If one’s life is simple, contentment has to come. Simplicity is extremely important for happiness. Having few desires, feeling satisfied with what you have, is very vital: satisfaction with just enough food, clothing, and shelter to protect yourself from the elements.” -The Dalai Lama, 1935.
Minimalism is about prioritizing what is of value to you and that which is adding to your quality of life. That could mean discarding unwanted things, abusive relationships and unnecessary activities.
What are we presently doing? We seem to be always in a rush to make more money, hoard the best stuff, get the modern gadgets, embrace a modern lifestyle as per the societal needs. Being glued to television sets, mobile phones and digital media platforms is the new norm and we seldom make raw human interactions / conversations with other people. We may unconsciously hoard non-essential possessions or get into relationships on a whim, involve in activities which are not adding value to your life and also get into debts for securing a future we haven't seen!
In the process of expansion(which we see as Happiness) we are limiting to see and perceive the essentials of our life. To be happy, all one needs is some food, water, shelter, clothing, loving relationships and certain activities which bring out the best in you(well this could be debatable as to how much is enough).
Minimalism In Real LifeIn the past year, I came face to face with Minimalism In Real Life. I attended a residential program which had certain protocols of having just the essentials for a 7 month stay. This brought out the best in me:
- I spent very little time in figuring out what to wear(as I hardly had 8-10 pair of clothing and just the bare essentials).
- Fortunately, I spent less time thinking.Well, I mostly thought about the activity I was doing at the moment. There was no aimless and unnecessary thinking / brooding.
- I gave myself completely to the activity that I was doing at that moment. This helped me to focus better and I was least bothered about the results. Well, naturally with utter focus and no distraction the results are bound to turn out good.
- I spent time on activities and events which were of immense help to the community at large.
- Consciously, I hardly spent any time on social media platforms, OTT platforms, Television. This has made me to look at life in a different perspective.
- To be grateful everyday for what I have; be it relationships, certain possessions and most importantly being alive is something which makes me feel truly alive in each moment!
Minimalism is not just an attitude, it is a way of life. It is not a one-time thing that you finish off and be done with. It is a continual process of consciously learning and making an effort to bring Minimalism into your life; be it at your work, home, relationships, activities and most importantly within yourself!
Implementing Minimalism at Home, Office, Relationships, Activities, usage of Social Media / TV / OTTs, Community Building
Benefits of Minimalism

Life Appraisal - Solo Talk Shwetha Krish - PD09
Hello,
So Today it is me alone talking about Life Appraisal!
We often tend to neglect and taking account of our life and where we stand on our personal growth meter.
Start now and Appraise your Life.
First question to ask yourself is “Am I happy?” If not list down the reasons as to what is stopping you to be happy?
Second question – “Am I in the best state of body and mind?” If not list down the reasons as to what is stopping you
Third questions- “Am I providing something of value to others be it in work or in your family or relationships?” If not list down the reasons as to what is hindering you
Fourth question- “Am I willing to take care of my wellbeing so that I can live life to the fullest which would in turn help in fostering better family relationships and also create better opportunities for myself in terms of work and passion?”
If yes, then list down the steps or a plan or simply put down tentative schedule for a day then a week then a month then a year.
You could do this exercise every day before you sleep. Or you could do it weekly or monthly or yearly but it is important to take account of your life and also whether are you growing as a person which is the most important thing which we often neglect?
Well, it is left upto you to decide on how you want to take care of your wellbeing. If leaving your job for a while is not the answer, try to indulge in wellbeing- Yoga, Cycling, Painting, Dancing every day. Make sure they become a part of your lifestyle. Also, try to inculcate your passions that you love to do. You never know when your passion could become your vocation for life. Make it work along with your current job, once you are able to make it financially or commercially viable then plan to quit your job if you are not happy with it. Then of course plan and hustle hard with your passion as long as it makes you happy and you are able to provide something beneficial for others.
It is your Life, live the way you want to. Life is so beautiful and all you need is a clear perception and understanding of Life. That can happen only when you turn inward and stop worrying about the external world.
I would like to leave you with one question-
Would your life be worth if you had all the money, achievements and materialistic things but don’t have health and zest in life to enjoy it?
Or would you rather be hale and hearty each day of your life no matter the situation as long as you are creating something which is beneficial for others?
Happy New Year to you all! May you delve into the inner journey and become better versions of yourselves to make a better world!
