#36: Biden on Stern, Tik Tok Ban, Trump's Trial debt, and more
This week Gary and JR are reeling from some music stuff, but they do get around to talking about this election quite a bit. The Ukraine aid bill, the Tik Tok Ban, Trump's ever increasing trial debt, The Supreme Court, Presidential Immunity, and so much more!
#35: What does a Christ Follower think of Trump and his bible?
This week we interview Eldon Stoffel, J.R.'s dad. He's a Christ Follower, and a former Trump voter, we wanted to know his thoughts on Trump now, the Trump Bible, who he's gonna vote for in November, and his thoughts, as a new fan of Iowa women's basketball, on Caitlin Clark.
#34: Make America Vote Again
In this week's episode Gary and JR talk about Biden trolling Trump, Christian reactions to Trump's favorite book, Gary's plea to you, and all of us, to talk to our friends and families about the importance of voting in this election, and more.
This one is a little bit more opinion than normal, but the research still stands. "HEY NOW!!"
#33: Political Parties, SOTU, and a TikTok Ban?
This week Gary and JR react to Biden's fiery State of the Union speech and the TikTok ban before diving in to the history of American's political parties. It's really fun to say "Whigs".
#32: Jason Palmer AI for President, and other Super Tuesday observations
Gary and JR react, on Wednesday, to the goings on of Super Tuesday. Did they vote? What do the numbers say about Biden and Trump? Who is Jason Palmer? What's going on in North Carolina? Just how dumb is Lauren Boebert? Steve Garvey gets a boost from his opponent?

#31: The Electoral College
How did it become a thing? Why did it become a thing? Who are the electors? Why are they the electors? This whole thing seems kind of dumb, and maybe even rooted in slavery. Yup.

#31: Hey Now!
Gary and JR talk about the border crisis for like 5 minutes, then abandon that train wreck to discuss their presidential voting history.
#30: The Iowa Caucus
It's season 2, it's an election year, so we are talking politics baby.
#28: A bunch of lies
We had literally nothing prepared, yet we still talked for almost an hour. Listen at your own risk.
#27: Garth Brooks
JR got an email from NPR about Garth Brook's new album, and well, JR's got thoughts on GB's reluctance to stream his music, lots of thoughts. Gary also has thoughts on Mr. Brooks and his guitars. Have a Bud Light and enjoy our discussion about the G-Man.
#26: Happy Birthday to us!
When you drop an episode every other week, your 26th episode marks exactly one year, so, it's our birthday, and in this episode we take a look back at our favorite episodes from the first year of STC. If you haven't heard those episodes, now would be a great time to go back and listen to them!!
#25 It's just episode #4, Abridged
Episode # 25 is a re-run, it's really old episode #4, slightly modified, so you can play it with your kids in the car, or your dad who didn't like this episode when it first aired. He probably still won't like it, but here it is anyway.
In this episode we discuss dick picks, the word f#ck, The unintended synchronicity of the show Letterkenny and our band ToBe Fare, and car sales marketing letters.
#24: Troll, Trolls, and Trolling
This week Gary and JR talk about Trolls. Also, a recap of the Fall Alt Fest, a Scherzer story, and JR's YouTube videos
How Trolls Are Ruining The Internet | Time
#23: Cover Songs
In this episode Gary and JR talk about a whole bunch of cover songs that outshine the original!
#22: Just Two Tw@t-Waddles Asking Questions
Gary and JR seem to really, really like Miley Cyrus, and think Ben Shapiro is a moron.
#21: Rich Men North of Richmond, and songwriting in general
In the episode, Gary has Covid, we talk about songwriting in general, and take a deep dive on Oliver Anthony's Rich Men North of Richmond.

#20: Willingly Offering Kindness and Empathy
In this episode JR and Gary discuss wokeness and of course, anti-wokeness
#19: A Flamboyance of Flamingos
In this episode Gary and JR get a little silly discussing the various names for groups of animals. Such as a Prickle of Porcupines, a Clowder of Cats, and a Murder of Ravens. That's it, like, that's the whole show. It's truly a small thing we are considering.

#18: Live reaction to "Try That in a Small Town"
We went in to this episode all prepared to not care that much about Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town". We thought we were going to take this "big thing" and knock it down to "Small Thing" status, but when we watched and reacted live to the video, well, it sparked something, let's just say it didn't make us happier.
Vote for us here:
#17: All Y'all
#16: Tots on Top, History of the Tater Tot
Gary and JR spend just the right amount of time pondering all things tot. How did they get their name? how did they come up with the idea in the first place? Some fun Tater tot recipes, and some crazy alternative tot names.
#15: How do you bathroom?
Don't you hate it when people take nouns and turn them in to verbs? Oh well.
Anyway, this week's show has Gary and JR considering four small things that all take place in the bathroom. Shower stuff, toilet stuff, and sink stuff, we've got it all figured out.
#14: What's the over under?
If ever you needed proof, evidence, science, and anecdotes to help others understand why you should put your toilet paper on the dispenser "over" and not "under" this show has it all for you. We did research and everything. You may have also noticed this episode is marked "explicit", that's because we talk a lot of crap this week. Sorry dad.
#13: Pasta Nazi
Have you ever wondered about the difference between pasta and noodles? Are they the same thing? Are they different? Does it matter? We will solve all of that in this week's episode.
#12: This or Next?
Small Things Considered continues to attempt to live up to its name, and is considering very small things, such as how you describe upcoming days of the week. We won't be solving anything here, just considering.
#11: Either What's Happening Or The News
#10: Desert Island Discs
Is it desert island? Or is it deserted island? We'll consider that small thing as well as name our top ten discs we would require should we find ourselves on an island all alone, with a really nice 2 channel audio system, including a record player.
#9: Do Yo Thang
Do you know what the Red Hot Chili Peppers were called before they were called the Red Hot Chili Peppers? No? Well, we do, and we are gonna tell you about it in the episode. We also talk about some controversial band name changes, and the stories behind them.

#6: Revolving Door, Part 1
In this episode Gary and JR set out to discuss bands known for having a revolving door of band members, such as The Cult, and The Cure, but got way in to discussing their own band's revolving doors. So, this is only part one. We promise that the next show will actually discuss bands you've heard of, or at least bands you should have heard of. Also, if you can help us get to 500 listeners Gary's got a juicy story to tell that he probably shouldn't, so tell a friend!!!
#5: Jeff Beck, Fun Loving Criminals, Tubi, Sorry Dad
The boys get back to talking about music this week. Almost no mention of Dick Picks or the F-word in this one! Plenty of talk about Wang Bars though.
#3: The Other F-Word Salad
In this episode Gary and JR tackle the question, "do song lyrics mean things?" and provide some meaningful, or not so meaningful lyrics to back up their case. Also, what are unalienable rights, and are they given to us by god? These are small things, right? Either way, we consider them for you.
#2: Are All Men CREATED Equal?
In the second episode of Small Things Considered JR and Gary explain why you might find them weirdly credible to consider small things. Small things such as penises, people that run red lights, and our Declaration of Independence.

#1: What's in a Name?
In the premier episode of Small Things Considered, JR and Gary consider how this podcast came to be, and how it's going to work. What small things will be considered? How'd they come up with the name? What's the theme song going to be? And more.
Then the guys consider an acre of land. Is an acre of land a small thing, or a big thing? Kind of depends on whether or not you have to mow it, doesn't it?
We'd love to consider your small thing on future episode, to join in the discussion, check out our Facebook group here:
