Yo, we sit down with some of y'all and the Leaderboard Coffee crew to talk about the latest season and where things are at this point for Leaderboard going forward. Today we have a little bit more of a serious conversation in coffee around sustainability in the industry, specifically pertaining to baristas. How can we make a place where baristas are treated and paid as proper professionals? Many questions like this come up in conversations and Luke has a basic hope and idea for what this could look like, but it's gonna take more than just one person to help make this sort of a change. Let us know your thoughts and ideas around this as well!

Love the Texas homies and have been personally following Noah and Wayward since the early days. We talk about some of the process of getting Wayward started, serving killer coffee to the Dallas community and the importance of the music queue. THE BIG NEWS indeed. We are thrilled to announce that we have added to members to The Socialish Barista Podcast crew. aka Spoon Gang and the Pouring Puppy Swirly Cat Trey Dex. We are adding show regulars Nic Gwynn and Parker Millican to the show as Cohosts. With a lot of growth and new vision and ideas comes a lot of work for just two people. SO we have decided to have some good friends join us in making the show even better. Listen in and get pumped on hearing us talk about why Spoon Gang is king and some very unpopular coffee opinions. 

Some bad weather messed up our plans for recording last second, so we weren't able to record an episode. So here is our recording from back in like September or October one night when we met to test out the mics we just bought for this podcast. We ended up recording this.... Possibly the first ever 1 star review segment we did. 

Tre usually writes a description here.... so he will probably do that at some point.

Here I am writing that description. We took a day to talk about those stupid weird work meetings that could've been summed up in an email or those meetings that lasted for hours you that you almost didn't get paid for. Also, we are rebranding from the Socialist Barista to something else..... 

You know what really grinds my burrs? Is that Trey didn't make me say "grind my burrs" earlier. But thankfully, Casey from Casey Makes Coffee joined the show to cement a great phrase into the show from this point going forward. Honestly, Casey has a super cool story that we enjoyed hearing and a lot of great insight into working in the specialty coffee industry. You will definitely enjoy hearing from her experience in the scene.
