Episode 22: Empowering Minority Communities through Blockchain
In this episode, I had the great pleasure of having Christopher Perceptions join as my guest speaker.
Christopher McIntyre Perceptions (otherwise known as C.M.P.) has a “passion for empowering the powerless” -- and this passion runs through his work as a social entrepreneur in minority communities, as a digital artist, and in his later involvement with blockchain and cryptocurrency.
His story begins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he has traveled widely in the United States and abroad — reaching as far away as South Africa and Malta — where he was involved in community engagement and encouraging the mass adoption of cryptocurrency. His experiences range from working as an advisor to government organizations on development, education, and creative community output to doing more technical work at AT&T & Apple. His love of art led him to exhibit his own work in museums, including at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and in 2016, he became involved with a company called 23 VIVI, a company that wanted to allow art to be put on the blockchain.
Christopher gradually got “turned on” by blockchain and is the Founder of a company called PerceptForm, an “end-to-end ecosystem of cryptocurrency/ blockchain products and services for introducing minority communities to the new world of blockchain.” Here again, his passion has led him to focus on creating financial tools; creating educational curricula to make cryptocurrency easy to understand; putting art on the blockchain, and tokenizing real estate (“allowing people to buy back the block through fractional ownership.” )

Lars professional background is quite versatile - he is an experienced restauranteur; he was the co-founder of what was to become Saxo Bank and served 20 years as its CEO; today he focuses on investments through his private family office, Seier Capital - 100% owned by him, and does not manage capital for other investors. He also serves as the Chairman Of The Board at Concordium.
Lars also has a super interesting book that just came ut before xmas Seier - a road trip.
Beni Issembert:
Beni is an entrepreneur-oriented team member with 15 years of experience in offline and online storytelling and marketing, with a strong academic background.
He’s a true believer in the Crypto world and in the Blockchain technology and is an artisan in this industry since 2015.
He describes himself as cypherpunk by essence, pragmatic by reason.
Self-taught coder, coding mainly in Rust, Python, and Erlang.
Beni Co-founded in 2005 the former Politech Institute, a European Center of excellence and innovation and a ‘Do-Tank’ dedicated to promoting novel concepts and innovation empowering the different stakeholders in a ‘citizen-driven’ digital world.
He is also a prolific writer and published two books: Fayce, le JE de la paix (Ram Editions) with a preface from shimon peres the late prime minister and president, and Voyage en Orient (European Academic Press) in 2011. A third book is in progress and will link between philosophy and crypto evolution. The name of the book is Cryptosophia. In the past he wrote for Le Devoir, Affaires de gars, Cremoc, and many more other publications.
He is married to Olivia and is the happiest Dad on earth and a proud friend of Lula and Ziggy.

In this episode, I had the great pleasure of having David Weild - widely known as the "father" of the JOBS Act - as my special guest on today’s episode.
David Weild IV, co-founder chairman, and CEO is a stock market expert best known for his position as Vice Chairman of NASDAQ. He is currently the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Weild & Co. He is a noted expert on capital markets and capital formation who has testified before the U.S. Congress at the House Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises, the SEC, and in front of the 34-member nations and the European Commission for the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). And as I mentioned, he is regarded by many as the Father of the JOBS Act for studies that he co-authored that were the first to identify and characterize the long-term structural decline in the IPO and listed company markets. He headed the equity capital markets and corporate finance at a top-ten underwriter of IPOs and follow-on equity offerings. During his career, he has participated in managing more than 1,000 public equity offering transactions.
David was named one of twenty Visionaries and one of ten StartUp Entrepreneurs in The World's Most Influential People in Market Structure, a book by Patrick L. Young.

Episode 13: DASH: Everything You Need To Know
In this episode, I had the great pleasure of having Felix Mago join as my guest speaker.
Felix Mago describes himself as a “driving force” behind de-fi (decentralized finance) and crypto adoption and is one of the “movers and shakers” in the crypto space today. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Freie Universitat Berlin, and worked as a lecturer at the SRH Berlin School of Design and Communication, as a consultant, in marketing research, digital banking and in the crypto space. His interests — spanning marketing research, information technology, consulting, and decentralized and tokenized projects (blockchain and crypto) — merged in the founding of his two companies.
Felix is the co-founder of Dash NEXT (2019) and Dash Thailand (2018), both of which are DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations). This means that the framework of the organization mirrors the currency — in that there is no hierarchy in either. His goal is for “Dash (an altcoin that was forked from the Bitcoin protocol) to be used as easily as cash and gives incentives to people to use it. The goal is to scale, grow and accelerate Dash merchant adoption and consumer activation to the next level. We want to be a payment solution everywhere in the world.”
Felix’s claim to fame includes writing The Bitcoin Handbook in German and he is a frequent panelist and speaker at global (virtual) conferences on blockchain, crypto and building DAOs.
Episode 12: Reinventing yourself in real estate & startup investing... All from her sailboat
In this episode, I had the great pleasure of having Nicole Bremner join as my guest speaker. Nicole is a property development specialist who founded East Eight - a boutique property development and investment company with a proven track record of renovating million-pound properties across London. In today’s episode, Nicole shared with us her interesting career journey, and together we explored topics such as Brexit and its effect on the UK real estate market and interesting new property technologies.
Nicole’s career journey went along a rather interesting path that included working in banking for a while, cooking, photography, and knitting, and was a stay-at-home mother too, all before finally settling on property development. She quickly learned that her love of architecture and her knowledge of finance was a great combination for operating a successful business in the field.
Today she is raising 4 young children, is the acting director of East Eight, and is an adventurous amateur sailor together with her husband. She also runs her own podcast channel interviewing people from all industries, a successful author, is a non-executive director on the boards of several companies, and is a startup investor

Natalia Karayaneva is a Bulgarian award-winning real estate developer, software engineer, and serial entrepreneur, who uses automation to solve problems. As a teenager, Natalia had learned how to code and at the age of 19, she launched her own company - MP Group Ltd - a real estate investment and development company. She holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Russia and a degree in Sustainable Urban Development from the University of Oxford.
Natalia has extensive knowledge in international real estate and crypto-economics and as such is a frequent panelist and speaker at global blockchain and proptech. She is known for founding Propy, a Silicon Valley proptech company that developed an end-to-end real estate transaction management platform to facilitates safe, fast & simple real estate transactions entirely online. Propy is in fact the first world's innovator utilizing smart contracts in real estate.

Gal formerly served as the CEO of the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange; as the deputy CEO and the COO, and as the CRO of the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange. before joining the TASE, she held various high-level positions at one of Israeli’s largest banking groups. Early career positions include senior economist in The Banking Supervision Department at the Central Bank of Israel.
Currently, Gal is the Head of Research & Member of the Academic Committee, at The Blockchain Research Institute at Tel Aviv University; and a Senior Fellow at Cyber Center, at Haifa University.
Gal served and currently serves on the board of directors, with a focus on global fintech companies, including at Global blockchain ventures an emerging technology-focused venture capital fund (US-based), Bank Leumi group fintech company Videa and Symbridge a global fully regulated exchange platform for digital assets (US-based).

He is passionate about technology, art & interfaith dialogue. His professional background includes working in Venture Capital and the Japanese Capital Markets. He is skilled in Investor Relations, Securities, Asset Management, Investment Advisory, and working with Technology Entrepreneurs. He is the CEO of Privity which he founded back in 2004 - an independent Dubai-based, early-stage venture-focused firm that seeks entrepreneurs with interesting and unique ideas and helps them develop and grow. I met Sleem on my second trip to Dubai and we have had interesting conversations about how he discovers startups and his views on the recent peace agreement which was long overdue.
