Welcome back! A new path comes before me, so let me tell you a story
Welcome to the start of Season 3 - where once more I am returning after an unintended hiatus, but this time it's not just been my energy directed outwards that caused this delay - but also that I've been pulled to a new path, that I'm now starting to walk upon. So these first three episodes while I find my feet will be focused on telling the story of how I came across this new path, the experiences that have drawn me there.
How Loki saved the moon - a story episode inspired by the Lunar eclipse
I attempt at least to create a new myth, a new aspect of lore - in light of the lunar eclipse we all experienced to a point. So this is the telling - at least based on my researching and imagination as to how Loki saved the moon. This is not an actually known of Norse Myth, this is very much a writing from my own head. But regardless I hope you enjoy, and I apologise for the lateness of it's release.

Herding Mice - an Icelandic Folk Tale - Story Episode
In this episode we leave behind the Norse Myths and Legends and instead step into the realm of Icelandic Folk Tales as we recount the story of Herding Mice, where Halla gets even with a very cheap, mean and dishonest merchant as he cheated a farmer out of goods one time too many. For me this story speaks a lot of how Seidhr magic is still a part of Icelandic Folk legend - even if it isn't called such, as well as giving a reminder to treat those who depend on you or who are your trading partners with fairness less you face a higher penalty than you would otherwise like.

Heimdall in Midgard - Story Episode
I'm feeling a lot better (thankfully) - and in this episode we share the story of Heimdall in Midgard, the origin of the Thrall, Karl and Jarl system in Norse times - at least the myth of how it came to be. Importantly though it also reveals some of the views on Hospitality that were given, and gives us an insight into the oft enigmatic watchman of the Bifrost.

The Magic Apples and We don't talk (enough) about Loki no no no, we don't talk about Loki
One of my biggest bug bears is how Loki is commonly seen as just the Viking Devil, and how much historical context has been lost with the way Christianity works in terms of its conversion practices of overruling all other Gods and borrowing aspects of the religion it's replacing, and villainising other aspects. The most obvious one as an eclectic pagan that leans to the Norse Pagan Path being Loki. So as well as sharing the story of one of Loki's mischiefs with the Golden apple of Idunn this episode I get that bug bear off my chest, into the open and have a bit of a rant about it. I however will not apologise for this.
So if that ramble of information given interests you, I do hope the episode will be of joy. I'm a bit bunged up still from my very blocked up nose - but I've finally had my first negative Covid test so at least I'm no longer infectious! Also it was my birthday on Saturday, so was a bit delayed actually recording the episode!

Skrymsli and the Peasants child - story episode
I have a horrible head cold so my apologies for the delay releasing this story episode, however in this weeks episode we're going to be sharing the tale of Skrymsli and the Peasants Child - a pleasant story for me, if only due to it being a rare myth that survived where Loki isn't the bad guy (duh). I think I managed to get through the whole recording without coughing, and I am on the road to mending! Hopefully this stinking headcold will disappear soon

How Flax was found - Talking about Odin - I built a CAIRN
Well hasn't this week been chaotic! I was hoping to have more to talk about this episode but alas didn't quite happen, sometimes life changes you know? I think that's what Loki has been telling me for so long, and I've finally learnt the lesson! However this week I've finally got myself to the point where I know exactly how I want to set up this podcast! We shared the legend of how Flax came to be, we shared the very first verse of the Havamal, and I talked about my own perspective on the verse, we also talked about Odin as the start of a series in the podcast where every fortnight I'll go through the deities, and give ideas on how you can give worship to them! Finally my big achievement this week is I built a cairn!!
I hope your Ostara was truly blessed and that you've had a fabulous fortnight! Please remember if you enjoy this podcast please leave a review on your podcast service!

A happy beltane to all who celebrate! We're talking about the tale of Geirrod and Agnar, a cautionary tale of treachery and the outcomes of that, we discuss a bit about the idea of "The Hidden Queer" within the Craft, and finally we discuss about Wunjo - the rune related to Joy.

Bragi - the disputed God - dismantling ableism in the craft - Gebo the gift
In this episode we talk about Bragi - a controversial figure who some people disagree if he's even a God, but more importantly we talk about dismantling Ableism in the craft. This is something I'm noticing a lot with how people preach paganism and how one should follow the path - whether that's from the need for a clan, or from demanding large rituals on the sabbats. There are many ways we can dismantle ableism, I share how I'm doing it, but if you have any ideas then I'd love to hear them! Finally we talk about Gebo, the gift signifying Rune!
I've been busy in my garden, and it's looking really good, and I hope you're having amazing times and amazing weathers where you are! Remember if you want to share any feedback, or just anything you've done feel free to contact me at deviateddroid@gmail.com

Plans for the Future - Kvasir's Blood, Hearing your Deities, Kenaz - the Creative Torch
Greetings, traveller, I hope you'll join me in the warm circle of the firelight, and have a drink. In todays episode we'll be talking about the creation of lesser and greater Skalds - and a rare story where the Jotunn aren't just slated was wicked - in Kvasir's Blood. We also discuss about ways the deities you work with may communicate with you, including signs from my own experience that they are reaching out to work with you. Finally we talk about Kenaz - the Creative Torch, and the meanings tied to that.
