Tony Stacey, our outgoing Chief Executive, talks to three of the Chairs he's worked with during his 27+ years at South Yorkshire Housing Association. Mulima, our Race and Diversity Lead, and Arica, our Executive Assistant, share more about our Independent Panel Member programme and the impact it's had on recruiting more ethnically and racially diverse talent. Their warm, generous and honest conversation also covers more about their roles and working at South Yorkshire Housing Association, their experiences growing up, and their fantastic 'pieces of peace'.
Episode six: Charlotte Murray and Laura Costa on Housing First
The Housing First model believes that a secure home can provide a brilliant foundation for people to recover and flourish. Charlotte, our Co-Director of Care, Health and Wellbeing, and Laura, our Service Manager, share more about the growth (and future) of our Housing First services, building partnerships and being a Homes for Cathy organisation, working with customers that have experienced domestic abuse, and much more.
Episode five: Vic Stirling and Alice Mathers on Age Friendly Sheffield
The fantastic Vic and Alice worked together on our 7 year, The National Lottery Community Funded, Age Better in Sheffield programme - and its transition to Age Friendly Sheffield. We joined them to hear about some of their favourite memories from the project, what creating age-friendly environments mean to them, and how these experiences are informing their work and thinking in their current roles.
Episode four: Pam Hankinson and Helen Phoenix on the Stop Social Housing Stigma group
Pam and Helen are integral to so much of the work we do around listening to, collaborating and taking action with our customers. They discuss the Stop Social Housing Stigma group, the challenges of the pandemic and the rise in the cost of living, and both share some lovely poetry.
