The Weekend Write-In is a dedicated group writers who each week draft and share a piece of flash fiction of 500 words or less inspired by a one-word prompt. In this podcast series, we share some of these stories as read by the authors themselves.
In this episode Søvn Drake and John Nedwill debate the safety of podcasting during a pandemic before John interviews Søvn about her writing. We then jump into six flash fiction stories in which a mother and her daughter are reunited, a family makes difficult decisions during a flood, trolls fight in the night, parents figure out how to provide for a baby with special needs, a team determines the moon just isn’t far enough, and we find someone to kill your own worst enemy.

In this episode, we will interview author Jenni Clarke before finding out what happens when a sharp-dressed man is late. We shall go drinking at an intergalactic bar, venture out onto on thin ice, sentence a criminal with rhymes, and go for a fast drive with werewolves.

We may have also included some jokes in an attempt to lighten the mood, even if some people find them Not Funny.
In this episode we will interview Christine Larsen from our new live virtual studio before we hear about the almost unbearable love of her life. We will make difficult choices before welcoming an addition to the family, help a right the wrongs of a dead pirate, think about what it might be like to be someone else, struggle with murderous tendencies, hear one story written especially for our podcast theme of renewal.

As we kick off a new decade, we evoke memories, make plans, dream about the future, and sometimes just barely survive the present. In the third episode of the Weekend Write-In Podcast, we will interview author Thomas Walborn and hear six quirky stories read by their authors that span the topics of morning, music, memories, mystics, and mayhem. Happy 2020!
