It's the wonderful Michael Birkenhagen. Michael and Theo started "SSS" a year ago from scratch out of their small one bed room apartment in Phoenix AZ. Since day one, a lot has changed. Michael graduated college and is back in Germany while Theo continued running "SSS". In this Episode, Michael functions as the host and asks Theo about the experience he made while working on season 2. They talk about the biggest struggles of podcasting, how Theo reaches out to his guests, and they give a review of the best moments from season 2.

There are around 14,500 youth in the foster care system in Phoenix, as of 2019. About 800 of these kids are estimated to "age out" this year. This means that once they turn 18, they lose the support of the state, without a family and without the skills to make it on their own. "Aging out" removes basic needs that were once provided for them and will often lead to homelessness. "AscendPHX" provides affordable housing for young who aged out of of foster care. the Non profit organization encourages, support and educate the youth with connections and resources In this Episode, I talk to Isaiah Gomes. He is the co-founder and executive director of AscendPHX. Together we discuss the struggles of running a non profit, how he is able to make changes within lives of many young adults, and much more.
