A Widow's Diary

My adoptive mother passed away on February 4th, 2023. Mama and I struggled with our relationship throughout the years. Several years back, we stopped speaking to one another. It was more her choice than mine. 

I've never been very good at conveying my emotions. My feelings either take over or retreat. I've been told I don't "act" feminine enough. I guess, I often come off too tough or mean or whatever. 

Sharing my dating experiences since becoming a widow.

Just a candid discussion about the day my husband died and getting the death notification the next morning.

Talking about dating after the death of my spouse. 

Talking about choosing a funeral home, making arrangements, aftermath,  and the long term of losing a spouse.

Just some talk about what the children and I went through immediately after my husband/their father, Julian died in a car accident. Trying to find a counselor to help us cope, dealing with my children's grief and anger, remembering Julian.
