Welcome to a special month. No, not because of Pride aka Celebration of Sin Month.

It's my anniversary month! It's also the anniversary month for several other wonderful people that I know of, and I'm sure many others. God-ordained marriage unions are great huh?

We talk about what this month is, the evil of pride in general, and how we should handle the expectation to embrace a lot of sin this month. Some people handle this expectation well, and fight back with truth; it's cool when that happens. We get into God's Word for some reminders of what He thinks of pride. He set the standard; let's follow it.

But that's not all, we're also going to be talking about the Bible and truth, because that's what we need more of in this world, am I right? We're going to be discussing different versions of the Bible, and why it's important to seek the truth and not just settle for what's convenient.

Hey all. It's been a sad week in our country with the recent news coming from the Nashville shooting. If you're not familiar, I share a bit of what happened, and then we get into some of the important points behind it. This is what I spent most of the episode talking about today; it's sad stuff, but it's important to think about what it means.

We also talk about a really cool story that might explain where a lot of the waters from Noah's flood came from.

Finally, we talk about a couple of verses in Ephesians 5 that should challenge us to live the right way before God.

Finally, we wrap up by talking about the up-and-coming rapper (14Chainz maybe?) who had his grandpappy make an appearance on his track and the grandpappy dropped some BARS from Psalm 27.

We spend a little time today talking about a man at the Mall of America who came under fire for a shirt he was wearing. It turns into a great example of how, more and more, we'll be challenged to stand up for what we believe in; and when we believe in Jesus, we have a solid foundation to stand on.

I also drop a prediction for the Vikings first playoff game, spend a little time talking about prioritizing things we care about, and finally finish by talking about some beautiful truths coming from the first epistle to the Thessalonians.

Man, it's been awhile! Welcome back to The Story Of My Life.

It's good to be back and I hope you're happy I'm back too.

A lot has happened in the past year or so, and this episode tries to catch you up on a lot of it. Like BeReal???? That's definitely the highlight of the past year and all the rage (not really :) .... listen to find out what I mean ) I talk about getting married (!!!!), the new house, a new ride, and new pests(????). It's a good time.

We take about commitment and goal setting, a relevant subject as we head into a new year. I want to commit to doing an episode of the podcast every week this year. Let's see how I do!

I warmed up some pizza and then put it back in the box. I put earplugs in because my roommates were having a loud party and I wanted to sleep. I almost passed out from lack of blood flow. That was pretty cool. I picked up the essentials when I went to the store. Also, have you heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Man, it's something. I try to take you through it from Romans 3:23-26.

Spoiler: It's awesome.

I talk about a jiu-jitsu tournament. I talk about a roommate punching a hole in his door. I talk about the lies and virtue signaling running rampant right now, and get absolutely nothing accomplished by ranting but I did it anyway. I talk about not giving up even when it gets hard and share some examples of folks who didn't give up. Then, I hit you with what the Word of God has to say about not giving up, cause honestly that's all you need.

I sip kombucha to open the show. Man, it's going to be a good time. I talk about food I've eaten it past days on the road and how it compares to know. Find out what was the worst food I've ever gotten from DoorDash! I talk about a wedding and being an MC, which is pretty hype. I talk about the Great Commission, which is even more hype. I challenge myself and you to go out and make a difference in this world for Christ.

I tell stories about the stories I heard growing up. There were some good ones. I talk about our trip to DC and all that we saw and how long we had to sit in Virginia.

I talk about my new abode and my new dog. It's pretty cool. I talk about how you shouldn't be scared of hard things or tough opponents, cause that's how you get better. Even if you break your neck, it's fine. You're getting better!

I talk about rabbits and how you should only chase one. The most important only-one-rabbit-we-should-be-chasing is Jesus. Listen for how I magically tie that into the message of the whole podcast.

I talk about how we all experience things that aren't glamorous and we can bless others by being there in similar times. I order you to go ask somebody how they're actually doing. Don't just ask, talk to them. That's your mission, should you choose to accept it.

I talk about a trip to Minnesota. I talk about snowboarding. I talk about Will's snowshoes. I talk about....zzzzzzz (I fell asleep because I'm too tired and I need to do this earlier in the day)

I don't talk about a whole lot in this podcast, but what I do talk about is quality content.

I went on an awesome church retreat with some fine folks. I shared a bed with another man and nobody turned their alarm off. I played football and did aiight. I tried out Jiu-Jitsu and got choked out multiple times but it was awesome. I got a shoutout from Boy in Space and from Ryan Robinette and it looks like I might have some free merch coming my way. Also, I turn twenty-two in two.

TRIGGER WARNING! Cockroach sighting! Just so you know :)

I see a dead cockroach right as I start so that throws everything off. I talk about flying, a beautiful sunset, and a very sleepy little girl. Theophilus cracks a joke and then cracks another and gets crickets for his trouble. We read some more depressing news. We make it all better by reading about how Jesus Christ gives peace that surpasses all understanding. 

Meet Andrew. Andrew is a new friend from North Carolina. He likes music, all things music, and he also likes music. He doesn't care for sports much, but that's ok (I think). We talk about music and sports today, so that's fun. We talk about other things too, but it's been a few days since I recorded this so I can't remember. You'll have to find out for yourself!

I talk about cannibal sandwiches and "whysconsin". I talk to my friend Theophilus about some things, and he's actually pretty smart sometimes. I talk about Christmas food and what is the quintessential Christmas food item (spoiler: I don't know). I talk about 1 Corinthians 15:58 and about what being steadfast and immovable means. I also talk about how awesome it is that we do not labor in vain, as children of God. I read some twitter headlines and discuss some thoughts relating to that (trigger warning XD)

I have my friend Isaac Hayes on the pod. We talk about movies and music. Isaac tells us why La La Land is his favorite movie and why musicals are making a comeback. I have my tall friend Will on the pod again. We talk about Thanksgiving and Christmas, and what this time of year is truly about. We talk about our Spotify Wrapped for probably a lot more time than you'd care to listen to. We break down a verse of Holy by Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper. 

I have my older brother on the podcast. We talk about life then, life now, and life tomorrow. We talk about all things Korea. We share some good reminiscings ( is that a word?). We talk about datelines, date lines, and Dateline. We talk about how thankful we are for our childhood and the way we are raised. We talk about a lot more; I just can't remember it all. But here it is!

I talk about the country a bit. I lose my train of thought multiple times. I do some math. I talk about vans. I talk about Ultra-Cush. I talk about El Capitan, Tomb Typer, and Alex Honnald. I talk about having confidence in our walk with God. I draw parallels between a 3000-foot high sheer granite rock face and life. I hope it hits where I meant it to.

I talk to Alexa some more. I talk about ways I know I'm growing up. I talk about cutting in line. I talk about buying real food. I talk about the future of our country. I talk about the peace from knowing God holds it all in His hand. I talk about how Christ would act, and how I want to do that, too. Alexa reads a poem and tells me about my schedule. 

I talk about trust in God. I talk about faith in God. I talk about joy in the midst of troubles.... because of God. I talk about a girl named Wilma. I talk to Alexa. She didn't understand what I was asking about. Understandable, cause she's a machine. But, she's very polite. I thank Alexa for being polite. Bottom line, trust in God, my friend. There's no other way to joy, peace, and eternal life.

I introduce you to Will Baker. He walked to Raleigh in a moment of superior judgment at a young age. We discuss pop vs soda and popeyes vs chick-fil-a. We make jokes about politics, but we're totally non-partisan ;) We talk about learning in the midst of loss. We discuss our appreciation for women and the things they endure with us fools. Will tries to sell me on North Carolina and I try to sell him on Minnesota. We have an all-around great time. 

I bought some carrots. I lost my carrots. I found my carrots in a sorry state. I get mad when people wear masks in their cars and when they're outside. I get into heated "discussions" online. I probably didn't get my point across.

I didn't play football this week. I watched the debate instead. I regretted it. It was all yelling. I have some snacks sometimes. Sometimes, too many snacks. I'm trying to read. I draw parallels between Joe Biden and another polarizing figure. I read some Bible truth. I talk about that truth. I say goodbye.

I thank you for listening. I might buy some candy from the money I earned from you. I ate an entire 30 piece ChickFilA meal(with the lemonade, no fries) and could've eaten more. I also had Popeyes on another day. I had a terrible football game. I talk about truth and how most people don't appreciate that word. I reminisce about Romanis and the wonderful memories and lessons I experienced there. I talk about how the Bible is the ultimate source of truth, not LeBron James or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and certainly not Joe Biden (boom, roasted) Love y'all!

Remember, you're not on this earth accidentally. You're a part of God's wonderful story for a reason.
