Amanda Sherlip is an executive director at Hands Across the Sea, a non-profit focused on promoting educational opportunities for Children in the Eastern Caribbean through the purchase of new books. Amanda is also the co-founder of Personal Habitat, a company developing sustainable 3D knitwear. Through her many experiences, both educationally and professionally, Amanda has garnered extensive knowledge about both the tangible and intangible benefits of working for a non-profit.

Ep. 19 - An Evening with a MIT Sloan Professor
Professor Neal Hartman serves as a Senior Lecturer in Managerial Communication at Sloan and also teaches teamwork and the case study method to students on the Tsinghua Global MBA Program, a collaboration between Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM) and Sloan. As a researcher, Professor Hartman’s focus is on team dynamics, conflict and conflict resolution, leadership, and cross-cultural communication. Professor Hartman’s plethora of publications, classes, and research speak for themselves and the insight he has into developing and utilizing communication skills is imperative for students and professionals alike.

I would be remiss not to acknowledge Professor LiPuma’s academic pedigree as well. He has written extensively on venture capital particularly in regards to internationalization. Samson Abrams is a sophomore at BU studying finance. He became interested in financial education in his junior year of high school when he founded his high school’s first investment club along with a few friends.

Alex Dunne discusses his life as a full stack software engineer working at Provide Technologies, a web3 startup, as well as the overarching topics of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and navigating early work-life. As a 20-year-old, Alex has taken an unconventional path to start his career journey. After attending high school in Raleigh North Carolina, Alex realized that computer science does not firmly require a college degree, and decided to enter a comp sci bootcamp, which led him to landing a job after only a few months. Ep. 4 - The Story of a D1 Athlete and Engineer
Uchenna Nwosu discusses his life as a Division 1 student-athlete at Boston University and gives valuable life advice. Uchenna is going into his Junior year at Boston University as a mechanical engineering major and a premier member of the BU track and field team.
During Uchenna’s freshman year, he claimed multiple wins including the 200m dash at the Army Twighlight Meet during the outdoor season and the 200m dash at the PL Challenge during his indoor season. As a sophomore, Uchenna claimed the 110 hurdle title at the Patriot League Championships and set multiple personal records in both 110 hurdles and the 200m dash.

Dr. Andrew Mack discusses his careers in economics, politics, teaching, and film. Andrew is a political economist, policy analyst, teacher, film-maker and rock saxophonist. Andrew has a BA in economics from Flinders University, honors in political economy from the University of Adelaide, and a doctorate from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney.
His work has been published in a multitude of academic journals, with his research priorities including an investigation of the sources and impacts of economic crises on systems and processes of regional organization in East Asia.
Currently, Andrew is a senior research fellow in the Department of International Relations at Macquarie University and teaches as an adjunct professor with Boston University.
