Swamp Creek Legends

By Swamp Creek Legends

Swamp Creek legends comes from those magical nights that outdoorsmen and women spend around the fire. We feel like the best conversations come from those nights. People tell their best stories, bring up their best points and have their best debates while huddling around the fire's warmth as the cold wind howls all around you.

We strive to bring you entertaining stories, interesting points of view concerning our outdoor spaces and maybe even some bigfoot stories.

In this episode, we interview Robert Blevins, an outdoor enthusiast, publisher and owner of Adventure Books of Seattle. Trailer

Trailer

Hey folks, welcome to the trailer of Swamp Creek Legends. Unlike a lot of other podcasts where they give you a bunch of snippets of different episodes that are coming up, I'm not going to do that. I'm just to have a  conversation with you. I'm going to tell you a little bit about the podcast and how I really see it moving forward. So let's start with my name is Zach. I'm an avid Hunter and outdoorsman, but this podcast is not about hunting, so if that turns you off, keep listening. But to me the best times of hunting came after the guns had been put away, the fire is cranked up and all the distractions have been cast aside. We just sat around the fire and talked, and we learned a lot from these conversations. You hear everything. You hear stories of blood curling screams in the woods. You hear people arguing about the efficacy of returning Wolves to their home ranges. You talk about the best place to fish, hike and a lot more. You know, my brother, he comes up in a lot of these conversations, but he came up to camp every single year. He barely hunts, but still comes up to the cabin because he loves these conversation so much. He calls it just having camp time with the guys. So our goal is to bring these conversations to you, but I want to make them even better. I want to cover these same conversations, but bring in experts and learn from them. Maybe even have a little debate. So, that is part of my motivation in starting this podcast. In my regular 9-5, I work human resources. I love learning about people and their stories. I've also have a couple stories of my own. I've heard mysterious human like babbling in the woods. I've heard screams at night. I've had felt the darkness press on my shoulder. I've had a lot of weird things happen to me. I really want to hear people's stories, and I'm also really interested by outdoor debate an experiences. So I'm really just curious of what's out there. I'm curious of what the outdoors is all about, so. I'd love for you to take this journey with me. We are going to  start publishing once per month. It's going to be a little bit quicker at first as we figure this thing out and get a couple of episodes out there, but I wanted to do at least one per month. If you have anything you'd like to say about the show, or you have any stories that you would like to cover, send me an email at  swampcreeklegends@gmail.com or fill out a contact form on our website, swampcreeklegends.com. Also, just quick reminder that all of our content doesn't make it on the show. Make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter and subscribe to get updates on the website, or subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Lastly, the more we put into short and more will get out of the show, so please reach out to me, give me recommendations and let's keep getting this better together. Thank you and I hope you guys enjoy the content.
