Talking She Will with Alice Krige & Charlotte Colbert
In the latest Talking Strange, we are joined by SHE WILL director Charlotte Colbert, and star Alice Krige. Opening in theaters and on IFC Midnight July 15, 2022, SHE WILL is an atmospheric gothic-tinged horror movie, and feminist fairy tale about aging actor Veronics Ghent (Alice Krige) goes to a healing retreat in rural Scotland following a mastectomy, and joined by her young nurse Desi (Kota Eberhardt).
With her own identity in doubt, Veronica starts to confront past traumas endured on movie sets. The two women develop an unlikely bond as mysterious supernatural forces of the wilderness — and the witches executed on the land 300 years ago — give Veronica the power to enact revenge. In the interview, Krige and Colbert talk about the parallels between #MeToo and witch trials, as well as the involvement of horror icon Dario Argento (who serves as executive producer), and actor Malcolm McDowell.

Talking Dracula & Nosferatu with Dacre Stoker
This year marks both the 125th anniversary of Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as the 100th anniversary of its unauthorized film adaptation Nosferatu. Stoker's 1897 work of Gothic horror introduced one of the world's most recognized fictional characters Count Dracula, and altered vampire lore. Meanwhile, the 1922 German expressionist film by F.W. Murnau, changed aspects of Dracula, contributed further to lore — and kicked off a protracted copyright battle with Stoker's widow, Florence. Dacre Stoker is the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker, and the international best-selling co-author of Dracula the Un-Dead, the official family-endorsed sequel to Dracula.
Stoker joins Talking Strange host Aaron Sagers (Travel Channel’s Paranormal Caught on Camera) to talk about Nosferatu's legacy amongst his family, while also discussing Bram's fascination with the occult, Irish folklore, and paranormal experiences.

Talking Pirates & Cryptids with Rhys Darby
Rhys Darby, the comedian known for Flight of the Conchords, What We Do In The Shadows, Jumanji, is an obvious choice as a Talking Strange guest because of his long-running paranormal podcast The Cryptid Factor. But he is also starring in the new comedy Our Flag Means Death, premiering on HBO Max March 3, produced and co-starring his mate Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do In The Shadows). The 10-episode season is (very) loosely based on the true adventures of 18th century would-be Gentleman Pirate Stede Bonnet (Darby). After trading in a refined life to be a swashbuckler, he becomes captain of the pirate ship Revenge. Struggling to earn the respect of his potentially mutinous crew, Stede’s fortunes change after a fateful run-in with the infamous Captain Blackbeard, played by Waititi.
And in the following talk, Rhys and Aaron Sagers (Travel Channel’s Paranormal Caught on Camera) discuss the pirate's life, as well as aliens, cryptids, and UFO disclosure.
