Anticipating is about having to wait. We are having to wait to go back to work because of the COVID-19 global pandemic. We have never experienced anything like this before and we want everyone to stay well. Those of us who are well, want to go back no-matter-what.

Please realize that we are all "sitting on the edge of our seats" waiting for the word that this pandemic has been controlled and we can get back to business-as-usual.

Our high school and college seniors were anticipating a graduation ceremony  - all to no avail.

Anguish is often referred to as emotional distress and can encompass a number of different emotions, such as trauma, sorrow, grief, fear, and anxiety.

We are anguished because we have absolutely no control over the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is manifesting.

Many adult children are concerned about their elderly parents because of this pandemic. The worst part is not being able to see their parents to check in on their welfare. 

We may not only experience the loss of loved ones, but also our possessions depending on how long we are not working and not getting a regular paycheck.

Agitation refers to an abnormal mental state, often dangerous in which the brain is highly aroused for action but does not know why - something has prevented the brain rom linking its arousal to a meaningful goal.

COVID-19 pandemic has us agitated. We are agitated because we don't know when we can get back to work and earn a real paycheck.

The stronger the impetus, the more our fight or flight syndrome kicks in and the end result is adrenal fatigue.

Affection is a feeling of like and caring for someone or something. We have an affection toward our children. We have affection for the high school classmates we have or had. We have affection toward our teachers. Those teachers who were actual classroom teachers and the teachers that come through in life to help you on your way to being successful in whatever endeavor you choose to be in.

You can have affection for someone without being romantic. Mother Teresa showed affection toward the poorest of the poor in Calcutta.

Introduction to "Naked&Real with the Rev.

This series is about being true and genuine. Sorry, this is not about being physically naked, but I am naked&real. I believe in being genuine and telling the truth. This is a no-holds barred series.

This series is about emotions. I am going through all of the different emotions that we have. When I finish, I will have over 170 emotions to talk about. 

Even though these podcasts are going to be short, they are not meant to be glossed over. This series is meant to be thought-provoking. Each podcast has questions that are asked and my goal is to get you to think these questions through and answer them honestly. There is no grade at the end of this and no one is "looking over your shoulder" to make sure you do the work required.
