In this episode I break down the possibility of a Lance Lynn trade this off-season. I discuss if it is better for the Rangers to trade Lance Lynn or hold on to him. If they do trade him I think the San Diego Padres and the New York Yankees would be good trade candidates for the Texas Rangers. There will be a lot of buzz at this years Winter Meeting's surrounding Lynn's name whether he is traded or not.

In this video I discuss the Texas Rangers latest moves on hiring two pitching coaches for the big league staff in Doug Mathis and Brendan Sagara. I also discuss the Rangers new catching coach in Bobby Wilson, as he will be taking the spot of previous coach Doug Mathis. Lastly, in the video I talk about the Texas Rangers Gold Glove candidates in IKF and Joey Gallo. Both IKF and Joey Gallo were in the top three in the MLB for defensive runs saved. So we will see if they win their first Gold Gloves on November 3rd, whenever the results come out.

In this video I discuss the Texas Rangers latest acquisition in RHP Art Warren. The Rangers claimed Art Warren off of waivers from the Seattle Mariners, and he is now on both the 40-man roster and the active roster. I think this is a solid move for the Texas Rangers especially since they are a rebuilding club. They now have a player that could be an impactful reliver in the bullpen if Art Warren's development plays out in the Rangers favor.

The 2020 MLB Draft is today and in this video I create a mock draft for the Texas Rangers to take a look at potential draft candidates. If you have been following my MLB draft series in depth, none of those prospects are in this video, in order to expose you guys to new names on draft night. The Texas Rangers have five picks in this years draft, as it was shortened from 40 rounds to five rounds, and they roughly have $7 million in bonus pool money to spend on all five draft picks. However, when the draft is over all 30 MLB clubs have the chance to sign as many undrafted free agents as they would like with the only cost being $20,000. I am excited to watch the 2020 MLB Draft to see what the Texas Rangers future as in store.

In this video I go in depth on the recent transaction of the Texas Rangers releasing 37 minor leaguers from the organization. Most MLB teams have been releasing minor league players during the pandemic to save the MLB club money. It might sound like the parent clubs are being cheap skates, but these players would most likely be released on a normal year after Spring Training or the MLB Draft. Stay to the end because there were some releases of former Texas Rangers top prospects, and former MLB players.

Ed Howard is the top prep short stop in this years 2020 MLB Draft. In this series, this is the first time I have the Texas Rangers taking a high school prospect just because of all the uncertainty with the coronavirus. Howard has solid tools all around the board, which is coveted in a premium position. He is also only 18 years old so there is plenty of room for upside. He is an Oklahoma commit so if the money is not there he could take his talent to the college realm. The player comparison for Ed Howard would be the Rangers own in Elvis Andrus as they are not elite, but they use their speed and their defense to prove their worth at the big league level.

Garrett Mitchell would be the ideal selection in the 2020 MLB Draft for the Texas Rangers and Jon Daniels as he might be the only five tool prospect in the entire draft class. It might be a longshot that Garrett Mitchell slides all the way to the Rangers at pick 14, however his Type 1 diabetes might steer teams away from the UCLA outfielder. Garrett Mitchell would be a no brainer selection if he was still on the board and I was in Jon Daniels shoes, as he has the potential to become an All-Star at the next level.

On the Texas Rangers Report this is my second video breaking down a potential 2020 MLB draft prospect for the Texas Rangers. This time it was right handed pitcher Cade Cavalli from Oklahoma University. Cavalli is rumored to go anywhere from the middle of the first round to the late second round in June. When I look at Cavalli as a prospect he has four really good pitches being his fastball, curveball, slider, and his changeup. The one thing that is holding Cavalli back from being drafted higher in this years draft is his lack of command on his pitches. If worst came to worst he could be a really effective reliever at the next level with a nasty combo of his fastball, curveball, and slider. If the Texas Rangers were to select Cavalli I would definitely be okay with the selection, even though I view him more as a project player.

As the 2020 MLB Draft approaches I break down a potential prospect for the Texas Rangers in North Carolina State catching product Patrick Bailey. Bailey would be a nice pick up for the Texas Rangers as he is the best defender in the 2020 draft class and has the potential to add some pop to his game. With the virus this year whipping out college and high school sports it will be though to predict where prospects will go, but I think it is unanimous that Patrick Bailey is a first rounder in the eyes of every single major league baseball organization.

In this episode I will be scouting and analyzing the Texas Rangers #2 prospect in Sam Huff. We all know Huff's power is unreal and is drawing some considerations to Rangers All-Star Joey Gallo. Although I will be seeing if Sam Huff has what it takes to be an everyday catcher at the big leagues for the Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers do not have a good track record in the draft, and now that there are less rounds there are less chances to land a diamond in the rough like an Ian Kinsler, Rusty Greer, or Derek Holland.
