THE ARK x Redress
An estimated 170 tonnes of clothing are thrown away every day in Hong Kong which is equivalent to 1.2 million T-shirts entering landfills daily. In this episode of 'THE ARK: Diving Deeper', we dive deeper into the importance of sustainable fashion and the efforts made by Redress, an environmental NGO working to reduce waste in the fashion industry. To find out more about Redress, please visit their website: https://www.redress.com.hk/
THE ARK x Plastic Free Seas
Join us as we talk about the plastic problem with the Co-Founder and Direction of Operations of Plastic Free Seas, Dana Winograd. What is the plastic problem? Why is it important and what can we do to help? To find out more and get involved with Plastic Free Seas, visit their website: https://www.plasticfreeseas.org/
THE ARK x Hong Kong Shark Foundation
In this episode of 'THE ARK: Diving Deeper', we are joined by the Executive Director of Hong Kong Shark Foundation Andrea Richey as we discuss the importance of sharks, the causes of shark endangerment and the effects of shark species extinction. 100 million sharks are captured and killed each year to produce shark products and this has pushed 33% of shark species to near extinction. Recognising that over 50% of the world's shark fins are traded in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shark Foundation (HKSF) is an HK-based NGO that aims to raise awareness about the issue of shark endangerment and shark finning in Hong Kong.
