The Awaken Project Podcast is back online!! It is our joy to bring you all into a 21 minute conversation featuring our 2023-2024 students (Reagan Martin, Kayla McFadden, and Austin Minion) and our first teacher for this fall (Kendra Diehl). In this episode and each that will follow this fall, our students and their teacher for the week will have a roughly 20 minute conversation where they review the content from the teaching week and share in conversation all that they learned from their teacher and each other during the week. In this weeks' episode, we tackle the topic of friendships inside and outside of institutions. Someone's young adult years are usually the first time in someone's life where they are not "provided" friendship opportunities by institutions in their daily life. Good and faithful listeners! We wanted to take a moment to inform you all about our current plans for the podcast in this episode, as well as The Awaken Project overall. We will be taking a short-term intermission from the podcast in order to work on some other opportunities for TAP. We will be back, new and improved, hopefully come June 2020! You all rock and we thank you for staying with us on the journey so far!

We finish up our stewardship series by talking about the concept of purity. We touch on a few different aspects of how our purity affects more than just our sexuality, and also address some of the real-world situations surrounding this topic. We hope that you enjoy this finale, us rambling and all, and thank you always for being a part of this project!

We continue with our stewardship series with the topic of time in today's episode. This episode was published in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we focus on some ways to steward our time well when we are given an abundance of time, as well as other areas of life that young adults usually struggle with when it comes to time management. After a few months of cross country moves and more grad-school, Blake and Steven come together again to launch their second series, this time about stewardship! We break down the initial stigmas around stewardship and begin to redefine what being a complete steward looks like, as well as give some of our own anecdotes about stewardship in our lives. Betrayal is something that nearly everyone experiences at some point or another. Infidelity, disloyal friends, feeling the need to cut "fake" people out... a lot of these situations were born out of a moment or sequence of betrayal. In this episode, Steven interviews Lucas Tuttle about his experiences with betrayal, with both Steven and Lucas turning the conversation to what we can to do be more proactive in relationships and where Jesus is within all of our mess.

He radiates Jesus wherever he goes, and brings an extremely grounded and profound perspective to what makes prayer so special and necessary. So, without further ado, go listen!

A world without sports, can you imagine it? Sports and competition are truly integral parts of daily life for all of us. Pastor Dave Wollan sits down with Steven and chats all things sports and faith. We specifically talk about idolatry within American sports and where exactly one's walk with Jesus fits into the mix. 

We start off the New Year with an episode that should help you keep that new year's resolution! Steven sits down with Mr. David Blackstad, program director at Mount Carmel Ministries, to talk about their friendship and how they have held each other accountable to the Christian life over the last few years. Jesus calls us into a relationship with Himself as well as the people He has placed around us. Steven and David share how that has happened in their lives through each other. Enjoy!
