The Fully Lived Life
By Dr. Merry and Coach Gillian

6-016: Becoming Your "Youiest" You
In the final episode of this season, we’re unpacking the messy beauty of being human and what it means to live an integrated life—not as someone who has “arrived,” but as someone who is always arriving.
With honesty and humor (as per usual :D) we’re addressing the hard truths about over-functioning and learned helplessness, while reminding eachother that becoming the healthiest, “youiest” version of yourself isn’t just for you but for your relationships, your community and for the world.
Never forget that you are a work in progress AND a masterpiece. When you own your full humanity, you make space to love others more fully too. Being you, exactly as you are, are making a difference!

6-015: The Value of True Connection
What does it really mean to truly connect with someone—and why does it matter so much?
In this week's episode (and our second last episode of the season!! 🤯) we're exploring the value of true connection and how it shapes the quality of our relationships. Real connection creates a sense of emotional safety and belonging, allowing us to show up as our most authentic selves. It’s not just about being liked, but it’s about being seen, heard, and accepted for exactly who we are! No need for hiding!
Tune in as we discuss how meaningful relationships built on trust can transform not just how we relate to others, but how we relate to ourselves.

6-014: The Journey of Self-Mastery
Self-mastery isn’t about being perfect. It’s about taking the time to recognize where we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or helpless, and choosing to grow anyway.
Whether it’s emotional triggers, unhealthy patterns, or just a feeling that you’re not living authentically as your true self, it's about identifying these areas without judgment and working with through it. We know we will never have it all figured out, but when we commit to the process of becoming more self-aware, and more intentional (even when it’s messy) we are confident we will all be better for it!
Ask yourself this - In what area of life do you find the greatest degree of helplessness?

6-013: Finding Resilience Through Your Shame
Oftentimes, when we talk about shame, it's talked about in the ways that it can make you feel stuck, but what if it could also be a part of our path to resilience? When we take time to face our shame with honesty and self-compassion, we can find an outlet to build strength, confidence, and a deeper sense of self-worth.
Join us this week as we continue to work through our own journeys of #rebecoming and reminding ourselves that on the other side of facing all the tough stuff, we will find pieces of ourselves that we may have only dreamed of.
We are worth the hard work!
We are worth the time it takes to get there!
And we don't have to do this alone!

6-012: The Strength of Vulnerability
For many of us we were taught to be strong, to keep it together, to push through whatever life throws our way. But what if real strength is found in letting ourselves be seen—imperfections and all?
Let's be clear: Vulnerability isn’t weakness! It’s a beautiful way for us to find deep connection, show our true selves to others and grow together.
In this episode, we’re breaking down the myths, the challenges and beauty behind vulnerability, while exploring how embracing it can lead to more authentic relationships, self-acceptance, and even unexpected strength. Leaning in. Opening up. That’s real strength. 💛

6-011: You're Doing Too Much
Has anyone every told you "you're doing too much!" or "you need to slow down!"
Do you find yourself constantly caring for everyone's needs before your own and feeling stuck in this neverending headspace of trying to find "balance"? If so, rest assured, you're not alone! On this week's episode we're unpacking the cycle of overfunctioning, including how Dr. Merry found herself there while writing this book!
Here’s your reminder: You don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to prove your worth by doing everything for everyone all the time. It’s okay to set things down and *breathe*!
⏰ #CelebrateYou Challenge Time! - In light of this week's epsiode, we are officially challenging you to schedule a day to celebrate *YOU*! 💛 Let's stop waiting for the "big moments" to find time for ourselves. Schedule it in the calendar and make it a priority! Take some time to consider all that you've accomplished, overcome and are still working through as you take some intentional time to focus on YOU! We share more about it on this episode, so if you're needing the movitivation, it's the perfect episode for you!

6-010: Fake It 'Til You Make It
We’ve all heard the phrase "fake it til you make it" before but what does it really mean? At times, we know it as a powerful way of pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones, helping us to build skills, or grow into the person we want to be. But what about the times when “faking it” turns into hiding who we truly are?
Are we building confidence, or just playing a role?
Are we pushing ourselves forward, or just covering up insecurities?
🎭 Ask yourself: What mask(s) am I still wearing? What mask(s) am I ready to let go of?

6-009: The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Are the stories we tell ourselves keeping us stuck in fear, doubt, or self-sabotage? Are they holding us back and preventing us from opportunities, relationships or truly understanding ourselves?
On this week's episode, we're diving into the power of our internal stories. Everything from the truths, the lies, and the biases that shape them.
Now let's consider, how do we rewrite our stories? Maybe you know from experience, or maybe it's something that feels like a work in progress. What's that belief you know you need to unlearn? Leave us your comments below! We always love hearing from you!

6-008: Untangling Our Trust Issues
Trust is the foundation of so many relationships, but what do we do when that trust is broken? How do we rebuild it? And how does it effect us throughout our lives?
On this week's epsiode, we're discussing how we untangle our trust issues and learn to move forward. Although it's not an easy process and it can involve confronting some hard truths, learning to trust others again can be such a healing and important next step.
Based on your own experience, what advice would you give to someone trying to rebuild trust after it’s been broken? We'd love to hear from you, so please leave us your thoughts below!

How does shame show up in your life, and what would it feel like to let it go? In this episode, we explore the deep, often hidden impact of shame—where it originates, how it shapes our thoughts and actions, and why it can feel so overwhelming. Together, we’ll uncover ways to recognize shame’s influence and take steps toward releasing its hold. Whether it’s tied to past experiences or societal expectations, shame doesn’t have to define your story. 🎙️ Join us as we discuss how to lighten the weight of shame and embrace a more authentic, liberated self.

6-005: Does Fear Have a Grip on You?
Fear is a powerful force. Whether it’s fear of failure, rejection, or the unknown, it can hold us back, magnify risk, and make progress feel impossible. Thankfully, the good news is that the fear we experience doesn’t have to control us!
In this week's episode, Gillian & Laura talk about the recognized and unrecognized ways that fear impacts our lives and brainstorm the ways that we can release our fears and embrace the unknown. It’s time to stop letting fear dictate our choices and start living with intention and courage.

6-004: The Stone-Age Brain
Have you ever felt like your brain is stuck in 'survival mode'? This week, Gillian and Laura are back, and they are diving into the first chapter of Dr. Merry's book "Rebecoming". This episode discusses our 'Stone-Age Brain' and how living in survival mode has shaped us and how it still influences us today.
Learning more about our survival instincts and understanding the emotions that trigger them provides us with opportunities to reflect and address how we desire to change and grow in this stage of our lives. So, what's your survival instinct? How has it impacted you and your relationships over time? As we take this journey of #rebecoming together, consider what responses are no longer serving you and how you might want to make changes in this area of your life. Lastly, we are not going to be covering Chapter 2 on the podcast as it's a review of the attachment theories, which we covered in a previous episode with great insight from Dr. Merry. Check out Season 1 - Episode 019, as it will give great context about attachment and be very helpful as we continue to reflect on #rebecoming together!

6-002: The Cost of Showing Up
Have you ever considered the true cost of “showing up”?
For some of us, that may be the way we show up online and for others, it’s the way we show up in our workplace or relationships. When we share our story, it often comes with a mental and emotional toll that some may not fully understand.
In this episode, @drmerrylin is getting honest about the process of writing of #rebecoming and the true cost that’s come with sharing her story.
Join her for an honest conversation about the vulnerability, resilience, and the power of storytelling as she discusses the struggles, the wins, and everything in between.

HELLO SEASON 5 FINALE! It's hard to believe this season is already coming to a close, but we promise it's not without some exciting news and a great final episode!
If you've been following along throughout season 5, you know that owning your truth, reclaiming your agency and allowing your true self to shine have been common themes of conversation.

How far back does it go?
Join us as we dive into what 'Come Out of Hiding' means for us both in this next season and enjoy an exclusive sneak peek from Dr. Merry about her new & upcoming project!

5-016: Filter Out the Noise
Have you ever wondered if your gut feelings are real or just a myth?
On today’s episode, Dr.Merry is going to her happy place and bringing us the science behind ‘gut feelings’. She helps us to understand what happens inside our body when that gut feeling kicks in, and what else we need to be aware of.
- Are gut feelings real?
- Can they be relied on at all times?
- Are they present-focused, future-focused or can they be both?
- Are gut feelings ever wrong?
- What is “The Wise Mind” and how do our emotions play a factor in this?
As promised, we’ve included a great resource from this week’s episode below. Check it out and let us know in the comments if it’s something you’ll be using! We love to hear from you always! ♥️

5-015: Show Up - The Sparkle Mindset
HELLO SPARKLE FRIDAY! Today is a very special day as we are borrowing some inspiration from a woman we admire @awomancalledgeorge and inviting you to join the party! Without giving too much away from the episode, let’s start by asking yourself these few questions….
- What does it look like when I truly show up for myself?
- How does it make me feel?
Now ask yourself this….“When I’m around other people…”
- In what ways do I make myself “less than”?
- Do I dumb myself down?
- Do I make myself quiet?
- Why do I feel the need to do so?
Although this episode brought alot of laughter and fun, it was such an important and honest conversation around the efforts we go through to show up as our true selves. We hope it brings you encouragement and confidence to all who listen!

5-014: We Really Are Like Snowflakes
❄️🌨️ Have you ever considered the similarities between humans and snowflakes?
Snowflakes
are structures with highly predictable physics, yet as they begin to
freeze they take on dust particles or impurities from the atmosphere
which causes each snowflake to become completely unique.
How
similar does that sound to us as individuals? Whether we’re born as
twins or not, we know that no two humans are ever made the same. Each of
us go through unpredictable and unique variations that happen before we
are born and as we go through life, yet it seems to be something we
forget too often.
Join us as we dive into this weeks episode
with a little bit of science, some life perspective while considering
how we can approach our uniqueness from a place of understanding and
care for ourselves and those around us.
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. 👇🏼 We love to hear from you always! ♥️
