Craig Williams - The mechanics of dealing with Parkinsons disease and trying to make history
Craig Williams of Neutron Engines is on the ignition podcast. Craig is a brilliant engineer and mechanic who has been battling with his health and passion for cars. You have probably seen his work if you're into engines, honda or just cool car stuff. Under the alias Neutron Engines, Craig is developing a brand new V8 out of two K24s and has been developing and solving the problems that come with both. This conversation with Craig opened my eyes to the reality of his condition, and I have even more respect for a man who, despite his deteriorating health, has unshakable optimism and an uncanny attitude towards life, continuing on his journey to build his creation and making it seem so effortless while sharing his condition on his social media.

Spark #15 - What your relationship with fear says about your personality
I have recently opened up to the idea that events and moments in our past that feel like open mental wounds may be easier to heal and cure than we think. Yes, the stigma of mental health and the conversations around the topic have a tremendous impact on communities worldwide, but it may be your fault that you are still struggling to deal with certain aspects. I implore you to look at the environment in which that event or moment in life happened, and instead of blaming or harbouring hate, think how you would have reacted if you were in the other person's shoes and had their problems. Would you of acted the same way?
This episode speaks to the way we look at those moments, and John's way of looking at things is certainly one I would recommend you listen to.

Spark #14: The 'Unflushable' Intern
Alex Goy, presenter, writer, editor, film-maker, and director. Alex doesn't just tick one box. He ticks them all. For a man used to spending most of his time in front of a camera, this was a great peek into what went on behind the camera. Life, as Alex has seen, has so much more to do with experiences and learning from those experiences than just experiencing and not doing anything with them. This spark is a testament to Alex's resolve, determination and plucky, Unflushable-ness.

Alex Nevill - Racing 2nd, Business 1st
Alex Nevill on The Ignition Podcast, Alex is a racing driver who has spent more time on track than off of it. From an early age has been dealing with Dyspraxia, a learning difficulty that means he struggles with his coordination. Something which, for a racing driver, makes the job even harder. It is amazing to see this hasn't stopped Alex from chasing his dreams and pursuing what matters most to him. His passion for racing and his innate motivation to win is outstanding. In the conversation, we talk more about racing being a business than a sport, what he's had to do and how he positioned himself and racing as a creative marketing tool for brands rather than a donation to allow him to continue. I hope you enjoy listening to this masterclass in motorsport marketing from a man in the middle of it.

Lewis Warren - Its ok to tlk
Lewis Warren, who is he? Mental health advocate, brand owner, and car enthusiast. Lewis isn't just these labels. He is so much more than that. Speaking to lewis, you are made to feel at home. There is no awkwardness; he has a fantastic ability to open up to people by simply opening up first. I think this is why he is making such a mark on the automotive community in this country. His brand Takona is based on the simple idea that talking is a great idea, whether it is about the car, how you have been this week or your plans for the day. Creating a brand that says if you wear one of our t-shirts, you're open to the conversation is brilliant, and it is great to see him and Takona going from strength to strength.

Dan Burge - Going with your gut
Dan Burge, to most people, is a leader and a visionary. He uses his instinct and gut reaction, a skill that I think lacks in my generation, to determine his next move. We spend too much time overthinking and getting in the way of ourselves. This stops us from experiencing more of what the world has to offer. As Dan helps guide us through his career and the changes he made to himself and the culture to make to get the most out of those around him using his experience. He started in the aftermarket scene and swiftly made his way to companies like Prodrive and, following that, a big jump to Lotus in the world of OEM. Now he follows his gut and passion to the EVT group, where he gets to innovate and change how we think about electric vehicles. Jamie Leech - Unboxing what it takes to be a motorsport mechanic.
Jamie Leech, Jamie has shown and opened me up to what it takes to become a mechanic at the highest level. The sacrifice he has made and the effort he puts into his work is unimaginable. When I picture mechanics, it's always the same sitting around waiting for the car to pull in because, after all, this is all you see on TV. The camera pans to a group of guys watching a monitor, and then for 5 seconds, they are moving around the car and then forgotten about. But this is far from the truth. The constant travel, training, and skill required to sit down and watch a monitor is immense, and it is through getting to know Jamie that I can appreciate that even more. I hope you enjoyed the episode, and thank you for listening to the 10th episode of the podcast; it's a milestone for me, and I cannot wait to release more of these great conversations.

For the very few mini enthusiasts that don't know Tim, here's a great chance to meet the man that co-founded the best R53 mini club in the UK and possibly the world. The man behind the club is perhaps the kindest and most generous person I have spoken to. Tim knows everything about the community he has built, but he seems to have so much time for everyone, including his family. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Tim and listening to his story, so I would go out on a limb and say this is my favourite episode. Lucas Blantford - Finding your position on the grid
Lucas is a 13-year-old go-kart racing driver with a lot more than just skills on the track. Lucas and his crew chief/Dad Adrian are so open about their experiences on the grid so far, with this being Lucas' second full year on track. Lucas is determined to prove to himself and others that you don't need a lot to be the best. It's amazing what a positive and robust mindset Lucas has at such a young age. His mindset is a by-product of the high-pressure circumstances he finds himself in, where most people his age are buried in textbooks.
Lucas' stack is twice as high as he balances life on track and life at school. I am so excited for you to meet the pair as they tell their story about starting with very little and being mentored by Team Hard Racing, for who Lucas is an academy driver. It is evident through the interview how important mentoring is at this stage in life to breed the best racers and make sure they have the tools to deal with all that motorsport has to offer.

Mike Fernie - Always meet your heroes!
Mike Fernie is one of the UK's most entertaining car journalists. I have ever had the privilege of watching and now have spoken to him. In the podcast, Mike says about how he started in journalism, how one move to London changed the game for him, and how meeting one of his car heroes ignited his passion for cars even further. Starting at Car Throttle and then moving to DriveTribe to work with the Trio has probably got to be up there with one of the best Jobs in motoring today, and we get to hear what it's like from the man himself. Mike speaks with humility and passion about his time at Drivetribe and his excitement for current and future videos with the platform. I know that you'll connect deeply with what he has to say, so get ready to meet the man behind the camera as the conversation develops and be inspired to achieve great things in the car industry. Thanks for Listening!
