The What Podcast

By Consequence Podcast Network
The What Podcast is a weekly podcast by two veterans of the entertainment media universe with a passion for live music and music festivals. They came together over a love of Bonnaroo and found out pretty quickly that they are not alone. In fact, since launching four years ago, they found kindred spirits all over the world who also love the vibe found only at music festivals. Each week they share their own stories and opinions, but they also dig deeper and talk to the musicians and industry insiders who make the magic happen.

2022 Festival Lineups Ranked by The What Podcast
Festival fans got hit with an onslaught of lineups in the last couple of weeks, and Brad and Barry from The What podcast discuss and rank their favorites. Spoiler alert, it's New Orleans Jazz Fest at No. 1 and then everyone else. (Get your tickets here!) But what of Coachella (tickets here)? (The What fellas may be lukewarm on Roo's 2022 bill, but loyal Bonnaroovians can still get your tickets here.) Sylvan Esso on the Bonnaroo Superjam That Wasn't
Where were you when you got word that Bonnaroo 2021 was not happening? Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso were in the middle of practicing for their Superjam set, a special collaborative show that's always one of the most anticipated of Roo. The Aftermath of Bonnaroo's Cancellation on The What Podcast
A week ago, we were supposed to be getting ready to return to Manchester, Tennessee for Bonnaroo. Instead, Hurricane Ida rolled through and cancelled everyone's plans. Okay, so we saw the storm coming, but we didn't anticipate it coming like this. We certainly didn't think "too much water" would be the reason Bonnaroo wouldn't happen for the second year in a row. After the year we've had, who did? With what should have been 'Roo weekend behind us, Brad, Barry, and Lord Taco of The What Podcast gather again to discuss whether the cancellation of Bonnaroo was the right call, how people made the best of the situation, and where things might go from here. To keep the spirit of Bonnaroo alive while supporting those in need of relief following Hurricane Ida, check out Consequence’s new "Radiate Positivity" T-shirt at the Consequence Shop. A portion of proceeds will be going to the American Red Cross to help those affected by the storm. Get yours at the shop or via the buy-now button below.
