TWA Family Hour

Man, this episode really made us miss live music...  On today's episode we go back in time, and think back on some of our favorite concerts we've ever been to.  Join the gang, as well as Paula and Uncle Joe, as we tell some tour stories and reminisce about a few events that took place outside of the venues.

We're back on the album grind, and today we discuss the creation and some of the touring cycle of Dark Matter.  There are lots of changes that happen during this era of The Word Alive with sound and member changes.  We talk about it all!

In this weeks episode we continue our album series.  This time we discuss the trials and tribulations that took place during the recording of the album REAL.  We touch on Luke's debut on a The Word Alive album and what it was like writing with legendary producer John Feldmann.

It's a rainy day in Portland Oregon as we get ready for yet another sold out show on The Drug in Me is Gold Tour.

In Seattle, Washington we had a sold out show and an old friend and past guitar tech, Nick Kunz stopped by for a bit.

We are back in Kansas City for the first time since Telle performed in a chair with a broken leg.  We talk about another crazy tour story, as well as discuss the age old debate on whether or not pineapple has a place on pizza.

Today's podcast is extra special because it was the first one after MONOMANIA's release date!  We explain the album artwork as well as talk about some of the songs that we were most excited to play live.

In today's episode we hear a few crazy tour stories, from Zack getting locked inside a venue in Australia to Matt having his gender questioned by a police officer.

In today's episode we hear some past stories of Robert from Escape the Fate  challenging  the boys to some  friendly competition, as well as debating whether or not Matt had  Coronavirus.

We get ready for another sold out show in Sayreville, New Jersey at The Starland Ballroom.  We also have our first return guest, Uncle Joe!

We’re at historical Toads Place in New Haven today, and it’s the seventh sold out show in a row!  We didn’t know it until the end, but one of our VIP’s was an actual podcaster.  We talk about some brutal hot shows from the past and choose our favorite songs from past albums.

We’ve hit six sold out shows at this point, and are stoked to tear up the stage in The Big Apple.  Zack talks about how he wants to collaborate with Drake on a song, and the band discusses what songs  in our library we’d like to go back and change if we could.

It is a full house with our VIPs today!  We chat about the reason for bringing back the “Deceiver Guy” on the cover of MONOMANIA, how the new album got its name, and discuss what the vibe was like during the writing of MONOMANIA.

It’s episode four and we have practically become professional podcasters at this point.  We have another band only episode.  It’s hot, there are mosquitos everywhere, we discuss why venue Merch cuts are the devil, and also talk about the worst TWA show in history.

It is a hot sticky day in St. Petersburg Florida as we hang out with another group of VIP-ers including seven year old future rockstar, Avery.  In this episode we chatted about, why we decided to do a podcast with the fans, and how we really try to make it a personal, and memorable experience, and Telle talks about a funny experience he had at Zaxby’s a few days earlier.

No VIP today, so we recorded a band only episode in New Orleans.  We talk about the day off prior to the show, some debauchery on Bourbon St. and tell a story about how we met and bonded with We Came as Romans years and years ago.

We hop into our very first podcast with the very first VIP group, and talk about our favorite songs off the new record, along with some stories about how the song MONOMANIA became to be.  Escape the Fate even comes through and spills coffee all over Tony’s stage clothes.
