Today we start the long and bittersweet goodbye to brother Jay!

Brian is back from a safari, Jay is up to speed on homeless needs during a massive freeze and now we're making time to chat about Nashville.

The BNA boys talked with Councilmember Jordan Huffman about the new city council, upcoming issues, homeless camps and the upcoming city budget.

We talk with three of the four candidates for Nashville city council district 11. We are only doing this one episode on the council as we were asked to host by some community members. We enjoyed meeting and were pleasantly surprised on a couple of occasions. Good Luck choosing from this years choices.

We dive into the obvious question for a former corporate king, why should a former COO run our city. I hope this helps anyone and everyone in their choice for our next mayor.

She talks about her vision for the city and why her background makes her suited for the job. Another great contender in a crowded field. Jay continues our series of interviews with Nashville mayoral candidates by sitting down with Jeff Yarbro. A great chat that I hope enlightens the listeners. I had to miss this episode to deal with my spousal unit needing to dispose of her appendix!

We gathered this morning to discuss and inform around issues from the TN legislature last evening where two duly elected member of the legislature were expelled for being disruptive. Evidently black people are to be seen and not heard in the Tennessee House.

We kick off our series of conversations with the Nashville Mayoral candidates by hosting Councilwoman Sharon Hurt. She has a long background of civic engagement with the vulnerable and the voiceless. She shares her vision for leading a growing city and how to address the state of Tennessee in its ever aggressive attempts to change our city.

In our return for 2023 we talk about the latest on the stadium, the mayors race and the never ending fascist legislature trying to, quite literally, kill Nashville. 

The boys discuss the new Nashville football stadium, homelessness and all it's challenges, Mad Town Coffee and the Madison Family Diner. We also touch on the Mayors race, bad pedestrians and the restaurant Char.

We discuss Nashville's budget, Pride vs Monster Jam, the new homeless department and revisiting a favorite restaurant. 

After a long and action packed month away from the mike we come back together to discuss transpotainment rules, homelessness, Southern Baptists, school budgets, the war on cities and Narcan. Oh yeah, I went to the new soccer stadium and Jay ate at Mafongo. Welcome back

We have a goal of renaming the horribly named GeoDis Stadium after our podcast and we only need another 6 million listeners to achieve our goal. Also, elections, malls and mayors all get discussed. So let us know what you think!

We catch up on our losing battle with Covid, discuss 100 kinds of party vehicles and Belmont's new concert hall!

We engage in some HR work for the city's finance department, discuss Covid, Floods, Murder, Bonnaroo and fun times at 5th and Broadway! 

There's a red tide going on in Florida...no the actual algae red tide. But right here in TN we've got a red tide of our own. Also, lots of Covid, a terrible flood, noticed by the New York Times and a tragic loss. Now, go buy my wife's book.

This week on the BNA we talk about the Nashville Grand Prix, the removal of a KKK leaders bust from the capital, Covid and Italian food. What's not to like. Also, send us a question...we want some feedback. 

We talk about the Governor's seemingly desperate need to convince people to travel to TN while airlines are cancelling flights due to overbooking and under staffing.  But at least we are throwing poor people out on the street...nice to know we have that going for us. Also, Jay goes out to see some live entertainment and I have a toothache. PS, we have figured out the audio problem, so next week we'll sound better!! Cheers

Happy 4th of July to all our listeners and the Chief who turns 50 on Sunday. We had a nice little chat about the police shooting people, naked statures and blowing shit up!! Enjoy 

We talked about how great Nashville drivers are and especially the truck driver that ran into a house. There's not going to be a referendum on property taxes cuz the bill was so poorly written and why aren't there any cool waterfront places in a city with a river every direction you look and two lakes in the city limits. Oh well, tune in and see what's up!!

Our inaugural Juneteenth episode. We talk about Southern Baptists being too southern and not enough Babtist, the REAL Hot Chicken and the first time Juneteenth is celebrated as a national holiday. Honorable mention goes to the Morton Exhibit at the Nashville Zoo, Miriam's Promise and The National Museum of African American Music...oh yeah, and Father's Day...

Nashville has a drinking problem, a driving problem and a road rage problem. Our solution is to sell them all guns and see who lives to tell the tale.
