The End of The Rooted Podcast
Welcome to the very last episode of Rooted.
I can’t thank you enough, both you as the listener as well as all of the incredible guests that I’ve been so lucky to have on Rooted over the years, for supporting and being a part of this journey. What a magical, special chapter this has been — one that I’ll never forget.
WHERE YOU CAN STILL HANG OUT WITH ME:
133. Second Trimester Recap
We're back! and I'm sharing an honest, vulnerable insight as to how the second trimeter went. From heartburn to uncontrollable laughter to how I took care and the support system I set in place for myself.. I document all of the little details here for you today. So good to be back, and I'll see you on the inside! Xx

132. Your (Amazing) Questions, Answered
I've been thinking about doing one of these for so long, but never really committed. Well, here we are, and I'm hoping to make this a semi-regular thing. I put up a question box on Instagram, and while I've done this before and come up crickets, this time around -- the questions were ever flowing, so potent and I'm really, really grateful for that. See you on the inside. Xx

131. Finding Your Authenticity & Letting Go of Comparison Through Design & Creativity ft. Elizabeth Compagna of Rising Rose Collective
I could not be more excited and honored to introduce those of you who aren't yet aware of Elizabeth's magic. This soul, she's a light - and this episode far exceeded any expectations that I had going into our interview together. I was introduced to Elizabeth through her sister Emma, who was on the podcast back in December (Episode 124 - a MUST listen), and ended up hiring her to create a one-stop-shop landing website for all of my creative projects to live (coming soon!) She's also the design force behind the podcasts new cover art!
In this episode, we talk a LOT about the comparison trap (which is so, so important), the fear of taking up space within our creativity, showing up as our authentic selves (and how to figure out who the hell that is exactly..), showing up fully just as we are (sans filters & the perfect picture social media tell us we should be representing), and so much more. Get cozy and prepare to fall in love with Elizabeth. This is a good one. Xx

130. Freeing Yourself From Ruts & Creating New Rhythms
In today's short and sweet episode, I'm talking all about my experience with my long (looong) rut that I found myself in. It can be incredibly difficult and daunting to break free from these new (accidental) rhythms and habits that we subconsciously create for ourselves, so after doing some of my own research, deep thought and journaling, and talking this to death with my therapist over the last couple of weeks, I found some ways to break my own self free from the grips that my rut had on me and my life. This podcast episode is in list form, if you will, so I hope it's easy and tangible to digest - and I hope, more than anything, it helps should you also find yourself in a similar season. Xx

129. Dropping Shame Around Mental Health & How to Create a Life You Truly Love ft. Val @penniesandpurpose
Val is by far one of my favorite follows on Instagram and has been for years. She's 100% anonymous (which turns out is harder than you might think), and gives her followers a raw, candid and unabashed look into her struggles (and triumphs) within her mental health journey, how she's using her hard earned money (and how this has changed drastically over the years), and providing tangible, straight forward advice for those every day life hang-ups that are so relatable it almost makes you laugh.
So grab some coffee & prepare for a super candid interview with my friend "Val" as we hear from her on difficult family dynamics, how it's impacted her life & her current partnership, how to drop the shame around mental health and society's stigmas, giving up control, what living a life of minimalism means to her, and how to reprogram yourself to be able to use your money to create a life you love (rather than the life that society tells us we "should" be living).

128. First Trimester Recap & Gender Reveal! (ft. My Husband Jonathan)
Today on the podcast I'm cracking WIDE open about my first trimester experience. One word: WHOA :) It's been humbling to say the least.. and I thought as a fun bonus, this would be the perfect time to introduce Jonathan to you personally! So he'll be joining me to share his experience & his two cents on our pregnancy journey & how this trimester has been for him... AND! He's going to reveal the gender of our baby with you!
** Trigger Warning: This episode does contain a quick mention of pregnancy loss, and covers feelings such as PTSD and some trauma that I experienced during my first trimester.

127. Energy Doesn't Lie: Why I ALWAYS Purge After Heartache
Energy doesn't lie, my friend. Today on the podcast I'm sharing some personal experiences as it relates to heartache and material possessions, and how I've learned to ruthlessly execute and make no apologies for it. I'm also joining you to do a little challenge with me at the end of this episode, and I can't wait to hear how you lean into it. This is such a life altering thing, once you learn to see the energy that all material items carry. So cozy up, and join in for this short & sweet (yet impactful) episode.

126. WE'RE HAVING A BABY! Sharing Our In-Depth Journey to Our Rainbow Baby
WE'RE HAVING A BABY :) I still can't quite believe it. I'm now into my second trimester, so there is SO much to share in this up-coming season of the podcast - but today I wanted to focus solely on our journey to calling in our rainbow baby. It was anything but easy, but goodness was it worth it. In this episode I'll be sharing our in-depth IVF journey, all that went wrong, the breakthrough that Jonathan and I had as a couple that changed EVERYTHING, and how we found out we were pregnant (hint: it's not at all how we were expecting we'd find out.)
** Trigger warning: This episode does include past experiences around miscarriage and IVF / infertility, and of course, a pregnancy announcement. All that I care about here is your emotional well-being and safety, so if this content is just not for you right now, please first know that I full-heartedly understand and have been there, and that only you know what's best for you. So if not listening to this episode feels correct for you, by all means.
Also, please note that while there will be a handful of pregnancy episodes to come in this season, the majority of episodes will not revolve around that subject as I know it is sensitive for some. Please know that I'm loving you from over here.

125. Spring Cleaning - Mind, Body & Soul
AND WE'RE BACK! This upcoming season is without a doubt going to be the most vulnerable, raw and emotionally explorative I've ever been on the show. I have.... so much to say. So much to share. So much to reflect back to you all, and I'm so thankful that you're here, along for the ride.
Today's episode is the perfect time to release since Spring is right around the corner. I know, for me, this season brings forth so much inspiration and desire to change/spruce up my personal space.. but this year, I'm feeling MUCH more called to spring clean my internal space. My mind, body & soul.
So, on today's 125th episode (!!), I'm sharing just how I'm going about doing that, and how together, we can create a clean slate for this new season of new beginnings and possibilities.

Ep. 122 - Psychic & Medium Katie Surbeck on Healing from Heartbreak, Gaslighting & Being Intentionally Single
KATIE SURBECK, you guys. She's one of my favorite people on the internet. A super talented and tapped in psychic and medium who I've been so blessed to have readings from (they're incredible, she's incredible) who turned into a dear friend that I can't wait to share with you.
This episode is so vulnerable and raw -- and while Katie does dive deep into her experience with coming out of the spiritual closet just a couple of years ago and what it looks and feels like to share those gifts with the world, she also shares her heart-wrenching experience with heartbreak and infidelity, being gaslight and surviving an emotionally abusive relationship. I've never been more proud to know her than after this episode wrapped up.

116. What it Means Now That I've Let Go of The Calm Collective
Thank you, first and foremost, for all of the love and support for our last episode where I shared the story of Jonathan and my miscarriage of our first baby. It's been... difficult, to say the least, but you have all played such a beautiful role in softening the ridges for us as we heal.
I'm working on playing catch up with you here, but first and foremost I felt it was important to shed some light on why I chose to let The Calm Collective go, the Universal sign that I did in fact do the right thing, and what it means for what's to come both within the Podcast space and over on the intimate Newsletter. This is a quicker listen, but I hope it helps unravel some of the unknowns ("Where the heck did the website go?", "Are you still teaching courses?", What can we expect?") All answered, right here.

115. I'm Back, & Opening Up About Our Recent Miscarriage
I was so nervous so sit down and record this, but know deep down that it's the right thing to do. For womenkind and couples out there who have endured miscarriage, and for the health of my own soul. The minute I hit "publish" I had this intense breath of release - a thousand pounds off of my shoulders. This isn't a "bad" secret to keep. It's nothing to be ashamed of; no fault of our own. It's just sad, and it's true, and it's real.
I know this is a lofty way to come back after a long, long hiatus of recording. And while I have much that I want to fill you in on (I got engaged, married, released The Calm Collective and built Rooted, etc), when tragedy hits, it takes precedence. I couldn't imagine coming back and talking about all of the aforementioned things without mentioning what's right on top of my heart - when I'm going through heartbreak. It's never been who I am; being able to pretend like things are okay when they're just, not.
So, I know we're coming in hot with Episode 115, but my hope is that we'll be able to meet each other where we're at. Me, here in heartbreak and healing, you, wherever you might be in life right now. I hope it brings us closer and feeling even more connected than before. I hope that this conversation normalizes miscarriage, grief, healing, and the like.
Thank you for being here - for showing me grace as I stumble a bit through this episode, and for giving me the space to come back when it felt right to do so.

Ep. 112 - Breaking Down ALL Thing Projectors in Human Design with Expert Ardelia Lee
YOU GUYS. Today's episode is such a fun one. Human Design is one of the most beautiful discoveries I've had in my lifetime, as it's been this massive, yet gentle, permission slip to better understanding the way that I operate, how I best serve others and myself, and just this deep affirmation that you truly can flow and live in sync with the Universe and let go of resistance as a whole.
If you're new to Human Design and you're like "what in the world are you talking about?" -- I encourage you to start by finding out what your human design is which you can do for free, right here. The only caveat is that you do need to know the exact time you were born as it stems from your birth chart.
I'm a Projector, which makes up about 20-24% of the population, and because of their unique energy fields and somewhat complex nature, I'm always looking for specific information around this type in particular. SO, if you find that you also are a Projector with the free chart above, come back and listen to this! It will be such a beautiful resource for you, and I guarantee you will feel so seen and understood.
Human Design expert Ardelia Lee breaks down all of the nooks and crannies when it comes to being a Projector. Business, relationships, money, food, love, raising children, the list goes on.. There really isn't anything that we don't touch on here. Enjoy the show. x

Ep. 111 - Grace Matelich On Becoming Your Own Advocate, Spirituality & Healing From Within
Today's episode is extra special, as I have a real life friend joining me on the podcast. Grace Matelich has been a friend and spiritual ally of mine for the past 3 years, and her zest and awareness for life and its magic is next level. She lives a life of both/and. Chronic illness and radical passion for this human life. Medical guidance and an empowering advocacy for her own best interest. Through this conversation, Grace walks us through her near death experience, and how this awakened her to her spiritual journey and deep appreciation for self and this one precious life. Regardless of where you are right now in life, you will benefit from Grace's message. I can't wait for you all to meet her. Enjoy the show. x

Ep. 110 - Candid Grief: Finding Joy After Child Loss with Megan Hillukka
Today's episode is so moving, so powerful, so... human. Megan Hillukka is a bereaved mother of 6 children, 5 who are living Earth side, and has so lovingly shared her journey with trauma, PTSD, the deep waves of grief and her journey to feeling joy again, in spite of it all. Not only do we talk healing from child loss, but we dive deep into explaining death and grieving to young children, grieving as a busy parent with so much on their plate, and how we can continue to keep the spirit of those we've lost, alive.
Through grief coaching, Megan encourages and supports other grieving mothers that though the worst thing has happened to them, their life is not over. She's learned many tools and ways of shifting grief so that it can become just a little bit lighter, and easier to live with. Because Megan has done the deep work of grief, made space for her grief and time for her grief, she now has room for joy, laughter, hope, and so much fun in her life.

Ep. 108 - Candid Grief: Jo Regidor on Grieving During Lockdown and From Void Filling Debt to Intentional Healing
Jo Regidor is one of the sweetest souls on the planet. I had the profound honor of being on her new podcast, Life with Less, and we just instantly clicked. We have such similar stories when it comes to our approach to minimalism and intentional living, and more recently, Jo joined the oh-so-shitty grief club after losing her best friend and brother during this pandemic. She so graciously shares with us what this process has been like for her - moving through the fresh stages of loss during lockdown, how her void filling tendencies aided to her debt and hindered her healing journey (raising my hand here), and how she so lovingly learned how to take care of herself in order to process her pain (and get out of debt - !)

Ep. 107 - Mindful Mothering & Honoring the Present with Danielle Shugg (@themindfulblonde)
Danielle Shugg from @themindfulblonde is back, and I couldn't be more grateful. Her approach to life and radical acceptance is other worldly, and I couldn't wait to chat with her again now that she's just become a mother for the first time. While I'm not yet a mother myself, I still felt incredibly called to dive deep with Danielle and to share this episode for those of you who are, or hope to be.
So often, society makes us, as women, feel like we have to abandon all that was before, in order to welcome what is now. In this conversation, Danielle shows us that motherhood is an invitation to celebrate the meshing of the two. Who you were then in ADDITION to who you are now. Both/And.

In this episode, I answer a question from a listener on how she can better support her family member who's undergoing chemotherapy. I'm so honored to be able to answer questions like this, both because my biggest mission is to support and hold space for you, but also because it forces me to look at myself in the mirror, revisit the pain points, and heal them all at once. In this episode I revisit some of my own intimate memories while taking care of my dad during chemotherapy, while sharing valuable and healing tools for unconditional support. Ep. 102 - You Are Right On Time With Your Grief with Gina Venetico
I'm really, really grateful to be able to share personal grieving experiences from people all over the world with you here on this platform. I strongly believe that much of our healing beings with feeling seen and understood, and what better way to invite that in with grief than to hear the stories, journeys and coping mechanisms of those who are also going through it?
Our first guest is Gina Venetico who's a beauty blogger in Chicago. We connected over Instagram over the loss of our dads, and I felt called to have her on the show due to her incredible outlook on timing within grief. Gina lost her dad 13 years ago, and is just now embracing it head on, healing through therapy and self reflection. She lovingly reminds all of us that there is no right or wrong way to grieve, and that wherever you are within your experience, you're right on time.
- Her rock bottom moment
- There is no wrong way to grieve
- Talking through the stages of grief and debunking those myths
- What to say, what not to say, to those who are grieving

97 - Healing from Heartbreak: Repair Through Poetry with Author Tess Theisen
To say that I'm ecstatic to have my angel of a friend, Tess Theisen, as today's podcast guest is the understatement of the century. Not only is she an advocate for women's rights and equality, as well as the environment, but she's a beautiful writer who just channeled her journey through heartbreak and healing into a stunning poetry book titled: It Was a Monday.
Tess graciously shares her heart with us in such a way that we can all relate to the pain, the peaks, the valleys, and those gentle moments of healing in between that breathe new life into our bones - even if for just a moment. We also touch on the writing process and what that looked like for Tess, the support of her friends and family, and how this heartbreak has made her into the person she is today - the Tess I love and admire so much. Enjoy. x

Ep. 96 - Releasing Yourself From The Pressure to Please with Johanna Bogart
This is a must listen episode for anyone how struggles with people pleasing and silencing themselves from their own needs, wants and desires. I was shook after this episode wrapped with Johanna, as it truly made me look long and hard at myself in the mirror, and where it is that I'm sacrificing myself for the sake of making other's comfortable. A worthwhile listen that warrants your full attention - I hope you enjoy as much as I loved recording.

Ep. 95 - Living a Non Toxic Life with Madi Rowan
I have been wanting to have Madi Rowan on the podcast for quite some time now, so I'm still buzzing from this episode! Not only is it incredibly knowledgeable, but it's so attainable and approachable -- and that has so much to do with Madi's grounding, Earthy spirit. Within this interview, she shares all of her tips and tricks for making this lifestyle change that is so important, yet can feel so overwhelming, feel like it's within reach for every single one of us.
She mentions some brands and certain things that I wanted to ensure you all had easy access to, so you can find those below! Happy listening. x

Ep. 93 - Leaving Comparison At The Door (Once & For All)
A listener recently requested I record an episode about how we can stop the hurtful cycle when it comes to comparing ourselves to others. When I read her message, I knew exactly what I wanted to say on the subject. That’s today’s episode — #93. Another short, sweet and to the point message from me to you 🖤
I hope you enjoy, and as always, I hope it's helpful. x
Ep. 92 - 4 Ways To Step Into Your Worth & Empowerment Everyday
In today's episode, I'm sharing FOUR (despite the fact that I say 5 in the intro 😂) tried and true ways to step into your self worth and empowerment every single day. These aren't hacks you can google on the internet - that's too easy! These are lessons learned from me to you, that were brought to life through my own turmoil and lack of self worth.
I hope, more than anything, that they're so helpful.

Ep. 91 - A Deep Dive into Living with Anxiety + Breaking Stereotypes with Lauren Ellman
For those who have been following along with The Calm Collective for some time, you know how much I love breaking down taboo subjects and diving head first into human experiences that are just downright relatable. This is what forms community, this is what has us feeling less alone, more understood, more seen.
That’s always been my mission from the very beginning - starting with my grieving experience (still very much a core part of my message), and blossoming into so much more - anxiety, relationships, boundaries, intentional living.
Lauren Ellman comes on to join me for Episode 91 of the podcast and to say that I could have talked to her for hours is the understatement of the century. This human spares no personal part of herself, which is what makes her so relatable, so lovable.
We talk candidly (like, super candidly) about our experiences with anxiety, how it forms and shows itself to us, how Lauren balances motherhood and her relationship with severe anxiety, our tools for soothing and healing our wounds, and so much more.
You don’t want to miss this one. And by all means, if you know or feel like someone in your orbit would benefit from her wisdom, do them the honor of forwarding this email or sharing it on your Instagram so other’s can benefit.
With so much love and gratitude,
Cassandra
