Our amazing new Equalities Student Leadership Team have put together a fantastic Podcast all about Pride Month! Their goal is to break down misconceptions and stereotypes while also giving you a glimpse into the roles of the team members within the school. On this special edition of The Compton School Podcast we have three of our brilliant Year 11 Students discussing how it feels to be young black British adults within the Compton School community. This was recorded as part of our Black History Month celebration and is an absolute must listen!

Episode 10: In this episode of TCS Podcast two wonderful Year 7 students read poems they have written to celebrate Black History Month; they are then interviewed by some of our Year 11 students to talk about their poems and heritage. Listen now!

Episode 9: On this episode we share three amazing poems from students that entered the Poetry Slam Competition. We hear from some of our new oversees students about their experiences coming to The Compton School. Mr Lee and Year 13 students discuss the themes from 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and how they relate to modern day themes. Mr Janner-Klausner talks to students from 8S about their First Give Charity Project. Episode 8: Welcome Back! In this episode Ms Muhammad and current Year 8 students explore poetry in translation. Ms Khanom catches up with Spike in Year 13 about 'My History Project' and our Podcast team managed to capture a very passionate recording of Era's presentation about her family history. Mr Lee, Ms Bywater and some of our older students talk about their top tips for new Year 7 students.

Episode 7: We have Ms Kubilay talking to Year 12 students about the transition between coming from a different school to The Compton Sixth Form and how positive that was for them. Our Eco Club speak about the importance of being eco-friendly in and out of school. Mr Lee and Year 11 students discuss how 'A Christmas Carol' is still a very relevant story in today's society.  

Episode 6: Coming up on the show we have Mr Stone and Mr A. McDonnell talking about Movember and where it all began. Year 7 students talk to our Head Girls about 'Life in Sixth Form' and we have some fantastic poems from Year 9 students at the end of the show.

This fantastic episode is jam packed with highlights from The Compton Community.  We start off with our new segment "The Bywater Show" followed by some music and singing from our talented GCSE students. We then head to our sixth form to discuss the power of taking a BTEC with some ex-students and then finish it off with a phenomenally insightful discussion with two students recently returned from a Holocaust Education trip. A must listen!
